Morning wenches.

That would very much be a magic drier Helen Grin (it’s what I call mine)

Looks like the rain decided to arrive, just in time for the weekend.

Must chivvy DS2 along so we can leave in time. His reaction to having an 8am appointment was “8?!?!?!”

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2023 07:45

Morning all. We also have the rain, and currently the drizzle and mistiness<nto>. DS has been shoehorned out of bed, Sympathies on the early start though - I've signed up to a local exercise class at 8am Shock My thinking is that then I go and do stuff after DS goes to school, rather than mooching online or going back to bed. We'll see how it goes...

ApricotCrush · 28/04/2023 17:03

Afternoon. Rain this morning but sunny now. I keep thinking it’s Saturday. Confused

If you’re boring WW, I don’t know what that makes me, I don’t even work. Gosh, I haven’t bought Ink Black Heart yet.

Have a good evening all. Wine

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 28/04/2023 18:45

I always feel like I should do something useful.

LetUsPrey · 28/04/2023 20:22

Evening wenches.

Do you feel relaxed after you’ve watched some tv of an evening, possibly with your feet up, Wicked? It’s called looking after yourself and that is never boring and it means I can justify doing the same thing Grin

An 8am exercise class Helen?! I feel a bit faint even thinking about that. I’m very impressed.

DS2’s appointment went well and he was barely late for school (although I had let them know anyway).

The flipping rain that’s supposed to have been raining during the day on and off all week never happened. I am fed up at the thought of the washing I could have had done instead of pratting about with it after work.

I’ve bought IBH Apricot and I’ve even started reading it but it’s too heavy to read in the bath so finding time to ignore everyone have some peace to read it is a bit trickier.

BestFriend is forcing me to go with her to local yarn place again tomorrow and I bet she makes me go into the tea shop.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 28/04/2023 21:28

Oh no LetUs - not the Spanish Inquisition Yarn Shop Shock Shock Shock. Will there been a comfy chair with the a nice cup of tea? Grin (also glad DS's appointment went well.

The weather's been fairly miserable all day here - certainly not laundry weather. Sunday will be blazing sunshine though. Because I've got cinema plans Hmm

I know what you mean about being useful Wicked - I vanish into a pit of self loathing if I've spent too much time mooching online and not done anything productive with my time. It's a rubbish habit (the 'must be productive' thing), because as LetUs says, cilling out is called self-care and it's important.

LetUsPrey · 29/04/2023 08:18

Morning wenches.

Exactly that Helen re the self care stuff.

There will indeed be tea this morning, and I have my own padding to make the chair super comfy. Going to risk putting a wash on because I live my life on the edge.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2023 11:12

Morning. I am up and feeling unmotivated to do anything, though lots needs to be done. KillerKitty has worked his way through a litter of rabbits - he brought in one last night, DH cleared up several more this morning, and I found one stashed in a box that he'd missed. KillerKitty is currently in a food coma.

I need to do garden things - it's lovely and sunny and things really need to be planted out.

Hope that everyone has a good day.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 29/04/2023 16:30

How can you be friends with someone like that Letus Confused Grin

ApricotCrush · 29/04/2023 17:48

Evening. It's been quite a sunny day, but raining now.

I'm the same about doing something useful, whatever I'm doing I think I should be doing something else.

Yes LetUs, what a terrible friend. I hope you didn't suffer too much. Wink

Oh bad KillerKitty. Sad

We're going out with friends for a meal later.

LetUsPrey · 29/04/2023 19:28

Evening wenches.

I go mostly as a support to BestFriend to ensure that she doesn’t buy too much or spend too much money or order a massive fruit scone. I’m ready for my halo now.

We had a dry day which mostly did three loads of washing. And then it lashed it down a couple of hours ago.

KillerKitty really hammering home the justification of the name there.

Enjoy your evening Apricot.

I’ve been knitting - contain your shock - but am now partway through a rather large vodka.

FancyFancy · 29/04/2023 19:49

Evening
Thanks wenches, although most of the pay rise has gone on FancyCat's meds Hmm

Oh KillerKitty Sad

Any chance of sending him here to deal with AnnoyingSongbird?

Have a lovely evening apricot
I will be having a quiet evening, have spent the afternoon gardening and have knackered myself! Very kind of you to keep the rain up there letus

Nope, not boring ww ! Am also looking forward to your trip 😊

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 29/04/2023 22:45

Evening. I'm also a bit achey after all the gardening, and should probably have been soaking in the bath, but we watched a film instead.

I only did one load of washing, but it dried on the line, which is good, (and there's been no rain).

KillerKitty has just gone outside Confused I may go up to bed now before I have to deal with any little friends he brings in.

Hope Apricot's had a nice meal out and everyone else is having a chilled night in.

LetUsPrey · 30/04/2023 07:19

Morning wenches.

You’re very welcome Fancy. May as well keep the rain off for those who want to get out to do so,E gardening.

Hope aching wenches are less achey this morning.

Early morning call from DS1. Their little pet died. My poor boy sounded so upset, just want to give him a big hug.

More rain expected. Usual Sunday which I shall spend in Much Ironing.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2023 07:32

Morning all.

Sad LetUs - poor little pet - fortunately you're far enough from me that I can safely say that that death was nothing to do with KillerKitty <cleans up another small rodent stomach from the dining room - appropriate place for it I suppose>

It's a lovely morning out there - all sunshiny and mild, with birds singing (and swearing angrily at KillerKitty who trailed along after me to size up feed the chickens) No idea why I'm up so early, I could do without it, but once I'm awake I'm immediately thinking that the livestock will want attention, so... I shall mooch online and have a bit of food, then maybe roll back into bed for a bit longer.

Isn't Much Ironing just a few miles outside Ironbridge? Have a nice outing Wink

ApricotCrush · 30/04/2023 16:08

Afternoon. Light rain here for most of the day. DH is still tiling and getting wet. Hmm

DS has gone to the caravan for a few days. I hope the weather’s better there.

We’re out for a meal again later, it’s DD’s MIL’s birthday. Such a scintillating social life we lead.

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 30/04/2023 16:12

Oh, poor LetUsDS1, so upsetting when we lose pets. Sad

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 30/04/2023 19:51

Pfft - at least you have a social life apricot

I have been out today and went to see the French 'Three Musketeers' film (by myself). It's alright actually. Entertaining idiotic fluff, (and the leads are far too old) with definite moments of "I've seen this before" with scenes that are sooo much like the BBC series. But it's a very inoffensive way to spend a couple of hours. Also, in French, to tres cultured, obviousment.

Weather has clouded over now, DH did some washing while I was out and I've just hung it up to finish drying indoors.

Hope everywench has had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 30/04/2023 20:20

Evening wenches.

Thanks for kind words.

Visited Much Ironing. Also spent a large part of the day in Oh FFS It’s Pissing Down Again.

Hooe MrApricot is nice and dry and enjoying a lovely meal with you all.

Film sounds fun Helen and an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours.

Haven’t done much today.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 30/04/2023 20:38

So sorry to hear about your DS pet, Letus Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/05/2023 08:50

Morning all. It's cloudy and damp outside - happy bank holiday Monday! Hmm

The only real plans are gardening. I was thinking about trying to get the manshapes out for a family walk, but DS will be horrified and grumble his way around. Ooooooooooohhhh - unless I pinch a dog to walk with us. That might be a plan...

LetUsPrey · 01/05/2023 09:37

Morning wenches.

Thanks Wicked.

Dry and sunny here. Popping out with DH but rest of day is fairly free. Need to remind DS2 about revision.

Grin at your cunning plan Helen

ApricotCrush · 01/05/2023 16:33

Afternoon. No rain forecast so I put a lineful out. It started raining. I thought sod it and left it. It wasn’t much.

DH still tiling. It’s going on for ever.

I’m bored and still can’t find any inspiration for a knitting project.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 01/05/2023 19:27

Evening all. I have been gardening, which was a bit tedious but I got stuff planted out and played with my new rotavator again. I also planted flowers into a pot which looks lovely and colourful. My back is a bit sore though. I shall be bathing later.

LetUsPrey · 01/05/2023 20:18

Evening wenches.

Suppose it got an extra rinse Apricot. I’ve started another baby cardigan from a pattern I’ve not done before.

I shall send Athos with his pot of unguents <nae> for post-bathing Helen.

Haven’t done much today. DS2 is being a right pain in the arse and I’ve just about had enough.
