Change of circumstances dla wait time 2022

Hi I am a single mother of a 9 year old boy with JIA , I put in a change of circumstances to dla as he gets low care but this was awarded for his mental health before his diagnosis and change in care needs . I have been told my application must sit in queue for 17 weeks before it’s looked at . I have been doing some research online about this wait time and seem to find nothing . Would love some advise on other people currently waiting on a coc .

Ive just got off the phone so the reason is he can walk (vuw criteria) and the second reason for smi is because he was having therapy and it could help him. Yet in the evidence it states therapy over the last 4 years hasn't worked and he's now seeing a psychiatrist for help and medication, they clearly didn't read it properly. The man i spoke to was absolutely lovely and has put it to another decision maker. Xx

They must be at a complete standstill I just called, they said they have just started working on the 14th of June. What a joke.

Morning ladies, I’ve just rang again and been told it has AGAIN been flagged as urgent due to the time I’ve been waiting! She has told me to ring back the end of this week/beginning of next week and hopefully it will be done xx

I applied for a blue badge for my little man the other day, just had an email its been granted 😁 do you think i should phone the dla and tell them as evidence? Xx

@Mkd1322 you could do i cant see what harm it would do . Mine will be 22 weeks on Thursday im debating should i call then xx

I phoned again today. Still no decision made even though they said it was with a DM last Tuesday. She said it is currently taking 21 - 22 weeks. Mine will be 22 weeks on Friday. I don't think I'm going to phone again, I'm too fed up with it.

@Mkd1322 i scanned my letter once it came and sent it to them, I’m still waiting to hear so couldn’t tell you if it’s helped but thought it’s more evidence xx
