Change of circumstances dla wait time 2022

Hi I am a single mother of a 9 year old boy with JIA , I put in a change of circumstances to dla as he gets low care but this was awarded for his mental health before his diagnosis and change in care needs . I have been told my application must sit in queue for 17 weeks before it’s looked at . I have been doing some research online about this wait time and seem to find nothing . Would love some advise on other people currently waiting on a coc .

Has anybody heard anything today? @Liverpoolgirl40 i can’t believe you haven’t heard anything yet I really hope you get some good news before next week, this can’t go any longer surely x

I haven't car be bothered to call them it will just annoy me x

I was going to ring tomorrow but might wait a bit longer as i can't see it being done yet tbh x

My Son's renewal was due, scan date 14th October, his current award expires beginning of January. Got a letter in the post that his has been renewed now until his 16th Birthday, which is great news. It's taken them less than 4 weeks to process it. Also great. But it begs the question, WHY is my daughters COC taking soooooo looooong. 21 weeks today and still no news!

@Ssabb90 no, I haven’t heard a thing! I can’t face another call to be on hold forever, to be told it still hasn’t been looked at! It’s draining!

Nope mind you I’m only 18 weeks, what felt like nearly the end is far from it. We should all call on your behalf lol crash the system. I don’t see the point of calling anymore x

No im really p**d off. My son has autism adhd learning difficulties spd cognitive impairment can't be left on his own at all even says on ehcp, goes special school has to be restrained he's 11 etc but been denied mobility because he can walk 200 metres! Im fuming xx @Liverpoolgirl40 scan date was 13th of june xx

@Mkd1322 that is an utter disgrace!!!!! I am so sorry! These decisions makers are so inexperienced! I hope you appeal and manage to get it resolved xx

@Mkd1322 do you not even get low rate mobility for him? I have friends who get it for the children who can play out on there own have no ehcp nothing and get low rate mobility xx

Really sorry to hear that you've not mobility difficulties you not even get low rate? I used to get high rate care for my son and just because he stopped using an NG tube they moved him to medium rate even though he was on a ventilator overnight I appealed and they upheld their decision so frustrating

Ok I’ve just rang again and mines still not with a decision maker!!!!! 25 weeks later xx

Im currently on hold I'm so angry they are due to feel the wrath of me today! Im also trlling how they take the p with decisions. Ive had another of our kids support being put in strangers hands who can't do their jobs properly and unfairly!

I thought I would give them a call today as I'm approaching 22 weeks. A decision was made on the 9th. My son did not get awarded what we would expect as they went by evidence from a yr ago! Which stated that he sleeps through the night. This has not been the case for a very long time. Now for the appeal wait! Wish me luck!

@Cass29 it’s shocking isn’t it?! The woman told me it had only been 16 weeks! Told her to count again using a calendar. Then she realised! It is beyond frustrating and a complete P&!S take now xx

Omg they have cut me off!!!! Back to being on hold im even more fuming now!!!! They just dont read evidence at all its utter bull these people really dont no what they are doing!!
