Change of circumstances dla wait time 2022

Hi I am a single mother of a 9 year old boy with JIA , I put in a change of circumstances to dla as he gets low care but this was awarded for his mental health before his diagnosis and change in care needs . I have been told my application must sit in queue for 17 weeks before it’s looked at . I have been doing some research online about this wait time and seem to find nothing . Would love some advise on other people currently waiting on a coc .

@Cass29 me too! I’ve given up hope now. I won’t ring for another 3 weeks as it’s just depressing now xx

Hi ladies I feel your frustration my claim took 15weeks to sort back earlier this year I just kepted phoning them daily and then it was sorted , fingers crossed 🤞 you all hear something soon

I phoned this morning. Scan date 17th June. I thought it was 16th June but they said 17th today so I must have got my dates mixed up. Anyway, I was told it is with a decision maker so shouldn't be long to wait now.

@OKJ they told me last week that mine should be done end of this week im the 16th of june but im not hopeful as @Liverpoolgirl40 is still waiting and shes before us x

@OKJ really? Mine isn’t! This just doesn’t make sense xx

Do you have to phone for a scan date as I've not even had any form of confidence that they have recieved the form and I posted it 3 weeks ago

@Angeldust12 i had to ring at 16 weeks for my scan date as had no letter to say received x

Okay I'm confused. Is the scan date the date they receive your coc form?

@Liverpoolgirl40 hey I'm On the other thread it has 40 pages I thought this one was carried on from there . Well I called today and was told by a lovely women coc were taking 20 to 21 weeks and if not heard by week 21 to ring them
She never said anything about being with dm but she was very nice and made me feel a little more confident from that call.
Has anyone braved it and called

@Lianney84 that’s ridiculous telling people it’s 20-21 weeks when I’ve been waiting 25! A few others on this thread are past the 20 week mark too. No wonder their phone lines are always busy with people having to chase them up xx

@Lianney84 no i haven't rang this week he said it would be done end of this week but i dont think it will be as @Liverpoolgirl40 has waited longer than me and hers isnt sorted yet so no hope for the rest of us x

Yeah @Lianney84 we have all been told different like they were working on the 9th of june last week and week before but told someone else the 14th n peoples get done around 17 weeks where as we are all over 20 weeks and nothings sorted its just been inconsistent info from them for us all however the man i had was lovely mind x

@Cass29 I won’t bank on it! I get why people are so pleased that the staff are nice on the phone. Although the system is broken and it’s not fair on people who genuinely need the money to help their child/children xx
