Hi I am a single mother of a 9 year old boy with JIA , I put in a change of circumstances to dla as he gets low care but this was awarded for his mental health before his diagnosis and change in care needs . I have been told my application must sit in queue for 17 weeks before it’s looked at . I have been doing some research online about this wait time and seem to find nothing . Would love some advise on other people currently waiting on a coc .

Angeldust12 · 29/11/2022 22:07

Ssabb90 · 30/11/2022 18:04

Wow I can’t believe it’s taking this long. By looks of things it’s a 25 week wait. Don’t know why they are telling us twenty when we are so past that x

Angeldust12 · 30/11/2022 19:47

I called today 3 times being on hold for 50 minutes at a time high rate care awarded from middle and high rate mobility. Award was due to end 2024 awarded until 2027 so couldn't be happier and only waited 6 weeks. I'm assuming they awarded 5 years opposed to the 2 years they usually give to get waiting lists down.

Broden123 · 01/12/2022 08:23

Ssabb90 yes thats what im thinking but then you have people getting them back very quickly which makes me wonder do they realy know what there doing.

Ssabb90 · 01/12/2022 10:05

Ssabb90 · 01/12/2022 10:06

Broden123 · 01/12/2022 11:08

Well hopefully evryone hears soon its been a long wait. Fingers crossed il hear something as im due a payment tuesday so hopefully all sorted by then as then it hits the 25 week mark

Lianney84 · 01/12/2022 12:09

Yes I rang also because I go on what the adviser tells me so like I was told to call back 23 week I do and get told wait another ten day which will then take me to 25 weeks I can't cope 🤣🤣

Broden123 · 01/12/2022 15:14

Thats the worst part its happened to me loads its very annoying bring told all different times

Lianney84 · 01/12/2022 17:24

I'm not ringing again because it makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong by ringing them lol because u can get some right awkward ones answer to you... but its getting ridiculous now

Broden123 · 01/12/2022 20:33

Yes they do they make you feel cheeky for asking about it like we should just shut up and wait but its very frustrating after 6 months isnt it 😂

Mkd1322 · 02/12/2022 11:05

Ssabb90 · 02/12/2022 13:33
