PippiCalzelunghe · 31/01/2008 13:52

digestive are the best ever buisquits....

Brangelina · 31/01/2008 14:07

????

Brangelina · 31/01/2008 14:08

Are you watching me?

PippiCalzelunghe · 31/01/2008 14:16

LOL! are YOU watching me

gio71 · 31/01/2008 14:37

OOh I need digestives, am having crappest day. DS had the biggest fall earlier. Was standing on sofa to turn the monitor of the PC off (as you do) and he overbalanced, hit side of head on unit on way down, TURNED OVER MID AIR and landed on other side of head!!!
So really I guess I should say ds is having crappest day
Bless him he bawled! (until I force fed him and me kinder chocolate-for the shock you know [hmmm]
Seems ok now but i didnt stop shaking for an hour (so then had half a bar of Alpen milk chocolate to help
DP really helped everything when I called him to tell him by saying "you need to pay more attention to what he is doing"

Going to eat rest of chocolate bar
PS Franca-I hate fastweb, took months to connect us. In bocca al lupo

PippiCalzelunghe · 31/01/2008 15:13

oh poor DS gio! is he better now? my DH says idiot things like this when I tell him I've done something with the car! In his eyes it's always my fault . he doesn't dare say anything in re to DD as it's with him that for some reasons the most accidents happen, like DD climbing out of the high chair at 16 months and into the table and falling from it while DH was cooking in the kitchen .

Brangelina · 31/01/2008 15:33

Try not to worry too much Gio, DD's done all sorts of suicide lunges in her short life and has survived, they're made of rubber at that age, doncha know. I can relate to the useful comment/suggestion made by your DP, mine does the same, he is the re di suggerimenti (in)utili. Usually when I've just sorted a problem out "oh, you should do this/be careful about that/whatever" Ma va! You don't say! Maybe it's an Italian male thang. Unfortunately he never abides by his own suggestions on childcare.

gio71 · 31/01/2008 15:45

good to know it's not just me who's dp can be an arse!
ds a lot better,we're on the sofa watching I Wiggles!
I feel sick from chocolate

PippiCalzelunghe · 31/01/2008 19:55

gio you should know by now that a prerequisite to be a DH/DP is to be an arse at time. like say my DH this morning. DD went to bed past 10pm last night as pippi wanted to watch grand design and neither of us couldn't be bothered earlier. she then woke up at 6.30 and came in bed with me. dh was having a shower after his run. I went into the bathroom all sleepy to tell him if he wouldn;t mind today to get his clothes and get dressed downstairs so that hopefully dd could get a bit more sleep. he alsmost bit my head off!! I was so !!
he then apologised explaining that he was having a conversation in his head with his sister and was upset.

francagoestohollywood · 31/01/2008 22:15

Ciao a tutte!
Pippi, sounds like you had a lovely day with your dd!
Gio, hope your ds is feeling better, especially after kinder!
well, I'm still with no internet and yes fatweb are being useless, but somehow I'm catching the signal of someone else {grin} in the building ... w la pirateria!±

Rosa · 02/02/2008 09:28

Sorry about last message Internet is on a timer here and money was running out ..Wanted to just log in quick. Well here we have not yet been blown away but dd nearly.Today no wind but a bit cloudy but shouldnt complain it is winter !! Have made it to beach and managed to keep dd happy ..She has been spoilt rotten she had chocolate muffin for breakfast after half heartedly eating cereal and banana!! Hotel is 100% fab and they really look after you .Will be a shock for all 2 come back. We seem to be surrounded by germans and finns and loads of very gay men not that many in this hotel. DH wont go running as he feels he will get chatted up ! The odd English but it is dd that keeps them all charmed.
Gio deepest hugs to you. At 12 mths dd fell off sofa and landed we think on a chicco train. Went to continuita paediatrica (sp) who said she is ok went hope she wouldnt stop crying she was admitted and discharged sunday saying nothing .... Tues she voimmited anima and as I went to put her in bath she had this HUGE bruise on her scapola and a bump .Her doc confirmed she had broken it when this virus she obviously got in hosp had her not keeping anything down and raging temp !!My doc said if they dont pass out and can be bribed out of tears once pain goes away then dont worry too much !
Well better go Franca you have fastweb yet or are they still being bad ??
Brangelina what did you dress dd as in teh end for Carnivale ( am not sad to have missed that in Venice at all !)
Hope Pippi and hot you are all ok

rosa you're still on holiday???
I'm still with no fastweb, or anything similar, but we are at the inlaws today so I'm making the most of their connection.
how are you all? hothell, is the tiredness easing off a bit?
I watched a badly dubbed house ofr tiny tearaways on the satellite yesterday...

hotHELL · 03/02/2008 10:33

house of tiny tearaways in italian? how weird!
still tired, with lots of nausea, completely fed up, cannot get excited about this pregnancy in this state.
Rosa, it seems you have been on hol forever....

PippiCalzelunghe · 03/02/2008 10:50

hhell nothing is exciting in that state! it will pass eventually and you'll start loving it. it is awful and seems never ending. To this day I cannot watch In The Night Garden without feeling slightly sick as I was watching them with DD during those 3 months.

hello franca!! glad you are back with us. how's things? is dh settled. are you happy in the flat?

at rosa still on holiday!

francagoestohollywood · 03/02/2008 11:06

hothell, there's even sarah beeney badly dubbed on the italian "discovery real time". I desperately want the satellite now. I watched a hilarious programme called "Bastardi" with Francesca Reggiani taking the piss out of those programmi pomeridaini su rai due (tipo alda d'eusanio). In this episode the guest was a girl dumped by her Swedish husband. There's even a bastardometro that measures the level of bastardaggine... it was very funny. I want satellite tv.
The new flat is fine, all we need is the internet and a satellite dish. which will take ages to get in this country.
how is the renovation going pippi? and the bump? non manca molto!!! will you send me lots of pics?
hothell, I'm sorry you are still feeling rubbish. I was very sick with dd and couldn't really rest with an active 16 months boy around. Try and rest as much as you can. In a few weeks you'll feel better. Do you think you might be stressed because of the miscarriage? O sto psicoanalizzando troppo???? (sorry if I did). A big hug

hotHELL · 03/02/2008 15:26

we want to see pics of the flat, i imagine it with huge lighty rooms, marble everywhere.
I might be feeling worse because of the miscarriage, from a mood point of view. It is just unimaginable to imagine that the sickness will end when it goes on for so long, at least ds is away during the week, i am lucky with that.....
lol at bastardometro...
Che pensate del matrimonio di carla e sarkozy? I cannot believe it she married him, do you think it is a career move or love? What do the italians say?

francagoestohollywood · 04/02/2008 12:19

I know how it feels, the sickness feels endless. I used to drink cups of mint tea and eat lots of liquorice...

Brangelina · 04/02/2008 13:02

I remember it well too, got through tons of the Ikea ginger(ish) biscuits in an attempt to quell the nausea. I can't look at them now without feeling queasy (as in green with sickness). I remember thinking that I'd never truly appreciated how lovely it was just to feel "well".

Have just been offered another job or asked if I knew anybody who could do it. Franca - do you want it? Tis full time though....

When is Rosa back? Is she coming back even? All this holidaying in the winter can't be good for you, shouldn't be allowed

Brangelina · 04/02/2008 13:10

Oops, sorry Franca - I meant to text you that bit. Don't know where my brain has gone, probably hiding somewhere along with the sun. Forgot my pasta too and now it's scotta.

ernest · 04/02/2008 13:28

Dear Franca and Brangelina,

was very nice to meet you both the other day, though it did take me several hours to warm up, lol. sorry my boys were wild. would like to say it wasn't like them, but, well, it is not unusual, so no point in pretending.

Anyway, after going through all the bother of going back to the school on Thursday for another meeting, I found out on Friday why dh left work early to meet me - I told you it was unusual- he came home with some big news - we are no longer moving to Milan but to Muncih.

I must admit to being very happy about this, I think the language will be a HUGE thing, as I can't speak Italian, but we can all speak German.

Anyway, a huge shock and all very sudden - thank God I refused to move with dh in November, so not too much disruption caused. He leaves Milan at the end of the month - only 3 weeks, as we're on holiday this week.

Anyway, I wanted to thank all you Italian mums for helping me out, esp you franca Take care.

PippiCalzelunghe · 04/02/2008 18:24

well ernest that's a really good news. you sound so so happy about this change of plan!

how are you all?

hhell are you still with us?

Brangelina · 04/02/2008 21:54

Ernest! That was sudden! You do sound a lot happier about it so it's no doubt the best thing. Was it the bicycle incident that made him change his mind?

Don't worry about your boys, they weren't wild at all, they were perfectly normal I thought. I loved your little one in particular, he's so cute, made me want one just like him....

It was great meeting you (despite the cold) and I wish you all the best in Germany. When are you moving? Will you be going earlier or will you wait for this summer as planned?

ernest · 05/02/2008 09:39

It was so sudden, I can't believe it. He's only been in Milan since November. He'd said things were a bitt up in the air at work but this way really a shock - I said it was weird for him to come out of work early ! Now I know why. Hope every surprise isn't such a big one! WOndering his modem will turn up before he leaves
You're very welcome to ds3 if you want - dh could bring him down next week...?

Can't believe it really. spent so long organising for Milan, now have to start all over again, house, school, area, etc etc. I dunno about when I'll move. I suppose stick to the original plan of the summer, unless our house sells really quick and then I'll go when it sells.

Haven't told the boys yet. Still working on the best way to tell them.

PippiCalzelunghe · 05/02/2008 12:04

where are you all? I am supposed to do millions of chores and cannot be bothered even to take laundry out of washing machine.

has anyone seen the movie A Mighty Heart with Angelina? any good?

Brangelina · 05/02/2008 12:49

I'm here, if only for a few mins. I'm supposed to be working.... If it makes you feel any better I haven't even got around to putting stuff in the washing machine.

Haven't seen that film, sorry. We're a bit behind in rustic Monza.

Ernest, I'll have your DS3 if I can send him back with my DD afterwards. She plays with bulldozers and lorries too, so no problems on the toy front. She is also currently learning how to empty the diswasher, so that might be of some help, no?
