Ciao - Everybody Welcome.

OP posts:
PippiCalzelunghe · 11/01/2008 20:27

eccomi. DH is bathing DD. I asked him and I bet he'd have given an arm and a leg just to sit on the sofa but I think he knew he could not say no. he tried to get out of it by saying 'does she really need a bath?'

...

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 20:39

lol!

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 20:41

whispers: do you really give her bath everyday? I think I'd have a nervous breakdown if I did it. Mine get a bath once a week

PippiCalzelunghe · 11/01/2008 20:53

franca I wasn't. I am now just because of the bedtime issue. she gets exactly the same everyday and seem to tire her and make her sleepy. that's all. the minute she's fine again we go back to the once every other/3 days.
also not confortable to bath after dinner but there you go... anything to make her sleep.

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 21:07

keep doing it if it works then. Mine get overexcited by the bath and seems rinvigorated after one .
my parents' cat has just vomited and shitted itself, and I cleaned the mess. Just what I needed after a long day... I used to love animals a lot, but after the children my patience has gone for our lovely and furry friends.

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 21:16

"keep doing if it works then" sorry it sounds patronising or at least not right. I meant cavolo allora continua! iyswim

hotHELL · 11/01/2008 21:58

Buonasera ragazze, scusate il ritardo!
Sono Incinta!!!!!!!!! trallallerotrallalaaaaaa...

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 22:01

Brangelina · 11/01/2008 22:04

OMG that was quick!

Congratulations!!!!

PS I did wonder if you were too busy buying all the pg tests in N London

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 22:07

lol at the thought of hothell spending the last 3 days peeing on pg sticks

hotHELL · 11/01/2008 22:15

was convinced i had flu, infact dp and ds are both down with it, run to boots as my period is late. early days, so fingers crossed for the next few weeks.

hotHELL · 11/01/2008 22:17

off to bed as likely to be woken early by ds in the middle of the night. i had forgotten how exausting it is early pregnancy, and what bad mood it brings.

hotHELL · 11/01/2008 22:18

in fact pippi asking me if i was up the duff, did make me wonder after a few days.

francagoestohollywood · 11/01/2008 22:20

I told you that I had a severe case of pmt for the first 3 months of ds's pg
brangelina, saw your thread re bilingual schools...

Rosa · 12/01/2008 09:17

HURRAHHHHHHHHH brava Hothell that is fantastic and so veloce so we have 2 Pg on the little Italy thread thats great.
DD has a vasca usually one day yes one day no but depends on how long cena was as I try to get her to bed at the same time. She does enjoy it and it does seem to wind her down a bit if she is over excited.
Have just realised we go to the Canaries next Tuesday ( 10 days) and I need to dig out warm clothes but it was only 17dg the other day !!!

OP posts:
hotHELL · 12/01/2008 10:33

I cannot believe it though. Ds vomited all night, so is he pregnant too?

Anyway definite BFL, will see.
sONO contenta che e' successo cosi velocemente, cosi pure se ci sono problemi, so che sono ancora abbastana fertile, nonostante sia post 35.

francagoestohollywood · 12/01/2008 10:34

I wanted to ask you when are you off to the canaries?!
well at least it'll be sunnier than here...
ok hothell we want to know all your symptoms...

francagoestohollywood · 12/01/2008 10:35

lol, I've been obsessed by my fertility since I was in my 20s...

hotHELL · 12/01/2008 11:26

feel tired and queasy, a bit fed up too, keep thinking what have we done? also worried about miscarrying. just spent some time reading up about diagnostic tests, have to decide whether to have the chorionic villus sampling or an amnio. feel sick at the thought.

francagoestohollywood · 12/01/2008 11:41

I know how you feel, the early days are full of angst, but you can always come and vent with us .
As far as I'm concerned I'd try to understand which genetic problems the villi and amnio look for, I might be wrong but possibly amnio has a wider range of investivation.
I seem to remember there is a great private place in harley street, they rave about it a lot on mn. I'll dig the archives...

francagoestohollywood · 12/01/2008 11:46

www.fetalmedicine.com/fmc-home.htm

hotHELL · 12/01/2008 12:46

thanks franca, did you get anything done?
this harley str centre only has a home page doesn;t give much info about prices, procedures, percentages of success ,etc.
Anyway my local hospital is pretty good, has 1% miscarriage chance for both cvs and amnio, cvs can be done though as early as 11 weeks. CVS detects most problems but not spina bifida....

hotHELL · 12/01/2008 12:47

do you htink pippi is still having words with her hubby? hope all is well in pippi household...

francagoestohollywood · 12/01/2008 12:58

I'm pretty sure there's been more than one thread about the harley street centre, discussing fees and rate of succesful procedures. If your local hospital has good rate of success then I'd probably go for it, BUT are you sure they'll offer to do cvs or amnio? don't they usually offer them after a nucal scan?

wotz · 12/01/2008 13:00

Hi I am not from Italy, I would like to go there one day.
Just thought I'd pop in
