OP posts:
marmitemad · 08/01/2008 22:17

ooh well done, I have spent all evening trying to think of a witty title while watching "the motorcycle diaries" with dh.

Just popped on here to look at slings on ebay (I NEED a huggababy) and panicked that you'd all gone off somewhere new and left me behind .

Dropdeadfred · 09/01/2008 08:47

Awwww Marmite...sorry!

OP posts:
marmitemad · 09/01/2008 09:34

don't be sorry, I'm glad you did it instead.
hope the others find their way over soon!

fanfare alert : dd slept all night without medicine!!!!!! For the first time in weeks I'm not tired (atm).

marmite - all night? well done!

Egg · 09/01/2008 15:15

Helloooooooooo. Been looking intermittently for you all, sure that someone else would have started a thread but couldn't find you .

Marmite that's fab, DS has slept solid for a few nights, and I have had two nights great sleep and I feel sooooooo much better!

Phono, just remembered, was it you who's DP stays at home some or all days of the week with your DS and we were all joking about brazen floozies eyeing him up with his sexy Zapp? Sorry you have been poorly, losing weight is great if you want / need to, but not if it through illness.

I am definitely 100% better. Have eaten a lot today. No ill effects. Really feel quite well. Can't imagine going into labour anytime soon at all.

DS has been a lovely lad the last couple of days. He has his moments but all in all we have enjoyed having a couple of days together alone. We went into the lovely organic choc shop earlier where they always have taster bits on the counter. That made us BOTH happy!

Hehe, I am kind of hoping that if i make enough comments of REALLY NOT FEELING LIKE I WILL GO INTO LABOUR ANYTIME SOON it might happen and then you can all say "ooh, and she had only just said she felt like nothing was happening" etc etc....

Have eaten four large choc chip cookies and feel a bit sick. When I say large, I don't mean those giant ones obviously .

DH is the same when he occasionally feeds DS, it is most often that I get the food ready AND clear up, he then feeds him (although DS does feed himself half the time) and then DH gets up and walks away from the table leaving bits of food stuck everywhere... It is very rare he actually prepares the food, although I guess he will have to in the next week or two!

fryalot · 09/01/2008 16:05

well I don't think anything is going to happen on the egg going into labour front.

And if I still smoked I would go for a fag now and that would be guaranteed to make it happen.

Am doing my best for you medear

Egg · 09/01/2008 17:13

Thanks Squonk . Every little helps...

Head hurts now. Perhaps too much sugar today.

DS watching same episode of Shiny Show again, for about the 8th time in 3 days. Argh.

Am making him quiche for supper. Quiche is so easy to make! Heat oven, open box from M&S, stick in oven, voila, perfect quiche in 18 mins!

Did someone say I am a good mother???

Had to buy new trousers for DS this morning as he did so much puddle jumping on way into town he was soaked up to his nappy despite the wellies. Then realised he needed dry socks too... Then he asked for a new coat, which he got, as his current one is 12-18 months despite still fitting ok. So it was a more expensive trip to town than I planned (only went to buy milk...).

Oh, my homemade quiche is READY!

marmitemad · 09/01/2008 17:46

ORGANIC CHOCOLATE SHOP WITH SAMPLES!!!!!!!!!!

Egg - Did you see my comment on the old thread about how close I am to you????? I really wouldn't mind coming down and taking ds/twins to the park (choc shop), it would be no trouble at all......

Seriously I meant it about dashing down the M3 if you need to run to the hospital. I can come any time (don't worry about work or the middle of night).

dd is currently in bed after falling asleep in the car on the way home from cm (all of 1.6 miles) so I am playing on pc .

marmitemad · 09/01/2008 17:47

what is the shiny show?

Egg · 09/01/2008 17:53

Oh gosh yes marmite thank you so much, everyone is so kind, except that selfish Squonk who has NOT offered to dash down to help out in the middle of the night, it's not like it's far!

The good thing is that if you did come over, even just for a visit, you could take DS and your DD to the choc shop park in the double buggy if I stayed home with the DTs!

It is a fab shop.

Shiny Show is in Cbeebies. You are a far better mother than me if you don't know it , although I guess your DD is a bit younger and DS did not watch anywhere NEAR as much tv at her age.

Which reminds me, which date is her bday? I know it is next month sometime (DS is 20 Feb).

marmitemad · 09/01/2008 18:08

dd's bday is 24th Feb, can't believe she's nearly 1

dd watches more tv at the weekend when we are getting on with housework and seems to especially like "the tweenies" which she laughs and claps at and "in the night garden" while she's having her bottle (I keep trying to encourage dh to read a story instead but I think he likes it more than dd)

dd is still in bed, thats 1 hour now, ought to go and get her up for dinner I suppose....

glad your tummy is feeling better and that sleep is good atm, you will need to be strong and well rested for labour.

" By Squonk on Tue 08-Jan-08 15:36:15

Am considering bringing the kids on holiday to Winchester for a fortnight so I can help out wink

selfish squonk huh?

I have a nice, posh phone and I am sure I can connect to the internet with it but I'm buggered if I can figure out how!

I can do smiley faces on my text messages though

dressedupnowheretogo · 10/01/2008 08:04

erm excse me wat is a zappata's

it jst ive always wondered????????

fryalot · 10/01/2008 08:34

tis basically a made up name for our chat thread, that's all.

Nothing sinister or un-cod-like, just a name so we can recognise the thread.

Do you want to come in and join us? tis just like the tea shop really. You are very welcome...

dressedupnowheretogo · 10/01/2008 09:06

ooh im up for that hello [waves frantically]

fryalot · 10/01/2008 09:25

so... hello, come in, make yourself comfortable. Um, the others will be along in a bit - they're normally here by now. Maybe egg's having her babies (twins, due any day) so that will be exciting.

Am a bit cross today as I told dp I needed the car and he didn't wake me up. I did get up, but he told me he didn't have time to wait while I got dressed so couldn't have the car after all. Anyone fancy doing my shopping for me and dropping it off about dinner time?

didn't think so! selfish gits!

dressedupnowheretogo · 10/01/2008 09:27
