In good news, I've heard from Paypal that they're investigating a claim I have for a cancelled show we'd booked tickets for (promoter gone bust). I'd lost hope of getting the money back since it was booked in 2020 and is outside of Paypal's timescales for financial guarantees, but they've obviously been getting pelters for their unhelpful stance had a change of heart and are investigating it now.

No snow today thankfully, we even hade some sun. The buses are going again. A friend of mine had to spend the night at work yesterday apparently

Ooooh yes, we had an earthquake apparently. I did hear a loud thud as did others around here, but that was the extent of it. Didn't think anything of it at the time.

DH thinks he's broken his little toe. He had an altercation with the hearth last night, and we both heard a distinct crack. He's hobbling around today and hopes as do I that it won't affect the golf tomorrow. Ibuprofen will be needed I think.

Hope the weather has improved WW, sounds awful.

BoringActualOfficeJob today, complete with roadworks and multi-way traffic lights on 2 of my three options for commuting, so that will be me going the long way in... DF did an 8-mile diversion to avoid the carnage last night, so I can't image this morning will be any clearer.

Oh - twitter has been full of 'filming Strike in Skeggy' photos, so that's nice. (Including one person ranting that "There's an imminent war you know!!" because a local newspaper was daring to report on the local filming event, rather than the situation in Ukraine )

Update on the toe: Ibuprofen was taken and 9 holes were played. No more because the course is sodden.

Evening, we've had hail today and possibly a bit of sleet, but mostly fine - just chilly. Also had a visit from friend and her lovely 3yo which was great fun and meant I didn't do as much work as I planned. Ho hum.

Short day today as have swapped things about. Going with DS2 to hopefully reassure him enough that he’ll get an immunisation. Everything crossed for success and then we can get him second Covid jab too.

That’s excellent news re the cottage Wicked.

Things did not go well with DS2 this afternoon and no jab was had. He did try but when your brain’s saying no, can’t do it, then there’s not much to be done. Nurses were excellent and very patient with him and very understanding.

Evening all. Am back. Have SportingActivitied and fun was had. Need to cook a cordon-bleu meal stick a pizza in the oven for DS. His jab went fine apparently. Sorry to hear that miniLetUs had issues
