I did the outsidey things today and got utterly drenched, but the things got done, so that was good. I also did washing, which got draped round the house because, rain... AND I finally did more painting, so that's another room done.

Eeek re. cars in fords. I know of one house where they kept a crowbar by their front door because they lived by a notorious junction. I think I'd rather not live somewhere like that.

DS seems fine thanks - hopefully no more nosebleeds because laundry is tedious. How's the knitting?

Knitting is progressing at a steady —slow— pace but I put it away for today as it doesn’t really mix with raspberry vodka.

I suspect we all have the same weather At least the rain held off while I was out this morning doing horse stuff. More painting has been done this afternoon, and the bedroom has been put back together. Progress!

LetUs can you set the HBFs to ironing while you watch and commentate on their technique? Pressing the 'steam' button is always my favourite part. The HBFs may need some hands-on guidance with the steamier parts of course.

FancyCat is completely zen about the weather, apart from not wanting to go out. Even ScaredyCat hasn't been that interested in going out. The only thing that's really spooked her is next door doing some drilling.

CuteKitten is very much in the doghouse at the moment - jumped onto the table last night and helped himself to some pudding when my back was turned, and did the same with breakfast this morning. I've chucked him outside to sit on the patio and look at the birds think about his behaviour. Little sod. He'd better do the cute purring/kneading thing soon if he's got any sense of self preservation.

Weather worse than Friday this morning, but still luckier than most so there’s that.

Good that TavCats are sleeping through it or are otherwise unbothered. CuteKitten pushing the boundaries ChezHelen I see though.

DS2 on half term so of course he’s up bright and early with no prompting.

No school walk today as it's half-term, but DH is going to watch DGS in a new sporting activity shortly. He's bringing fish and chips back after so looking forward to that.

Evening. CuteKitten continues to be a pain. The weather improved here, then got worse again in time for MondaySports to be cancelled, then it improved again.

Just seen that Desperate Romantics is on BBC Four. I’ve got it on DVD somewhere but it’s easier to have it available on iPlayer.

It does still seem quite breezy. There are a few birds clinging on to the bird feeders with epic determination as the feeders swing about quite dramatically.

In other exciting news, I've finally got DS booked in for his second delayed-by-having-actual-covid jab. That was the extent of my productivity last night whilst also chuntering through another episode of DiscoveryofWitches.
