Lol at the pothole excitement. We had a huge one in the middle of the end of our road. I could squeeze the car round it but DH had to straddle it and hope no-one was turning the corner. Anyway I noticed yesterday that it had been filled in so I share your relief Helen.

I have had a deathly mind-numbing day of playing 'spot the mistake' on spreadsheets where there was both definitely a mistake, and where there wasn't one, but someone had misunderstood it. Both versions took just as long as each other to sort out. Fortunately I am now on the sofa, next to chocolate.

Evening. Tons off people WFH today, so the office was a bit quiet and dull, but I got plenty done.

Am partway through first episode of Green Planet and am loving it.

DH is out tonight. I’ve dropped him off, called to see LittleSis, then called to see BestFriend and had a and a chat. Am now watching the Only Connect final with DS2 before I go out to pick up DH,

I am perched on the sofa with a snoring cat behind me, taking up more of the seat that you'd expect for a small cat. I think I'll head for bed soon. KillerKitten has vanished outside and hasn't been seen for several hours I suspect he will come barrelling in and be completely OTT and full of energy. It's exhausting just thinking about it...

Washing up done, washing on drier, about to start the whole homework thing with DS2 but am watching the tennis trophy presentation first.

Morning wenches. Sunrise was quite pretty this morning - very deep red. The I went back to bed so I've no idea how that developed. I have washing in the machine and I've missed the tennis completely.
Today needs to be more of the seemingly unending painting - DH did lots yesterday. It still feels unending.

Afternoon. Nice day but I haven't been out.

We watched TB's The Souvenir last night. I've had the DVD for over a year but haven't opened it, bad fan! Anyway it was on BBC2 last Sunday so I recorded it. It seems much easier than fiddling about with the DVD player. I didn't think I would like it, but was surprised. It was really good, and DH stayed awake throughout so that's a compliment to it.

Hope the homework and painting have gone well.

Excellent plan LetUs - there's more painting today, so Athos can have another thorough check later on. Maybe throughout the day so it doesn't build up at all?

Much unnecessary excitement this morning. I found that the small freezer was frozen open - must have been a week or so - I'm the only one who goes in there usually . So it has been churning out ice constantly to try and keep cold. DH managed the chisel the ice off so at least the door shuts now. Then I turned a corner of the sitting room upside down trying to find DS' fitbit. I was thinking that KillerKitten must have knocked it onto the floor and battered it under the sofa. Only to have DH remind me that the last thing he did before going to bed was pit it on DS' sports bag so he wouldn't forget it in the morning. I'm not having a great start to the day tbh. Though CuteKitten thinks I make a very good bed, so there's that. Also, the chickens escaped yesterday - the wind rattled their door open. (That, at least, wasn't down to me since DH fed them yesterday.) I did a comedy double-take when I saw Houdini at the patio door, then spotted Chicktoria and babies under the tree, then all the others. They were enticed home with food.

Afternoon, it's stormy here, it's even got a name Malik, falling trees, a falling construction crane etc all round Sweden. I haven't left the house today but it's ok here so far.

About the cottage so is the extension almost done, at least the exterior, and my landlord has been there this weekend and ripped out stuff, the old kitchen is gone, the old plastic mats (?), not sure what he is doing there today but will snoop a bit when he's left

Afternoon. I have got one coat of paint onto DS' ceiling. My plans to get both coats on was... slightly overambitious! I have the back massager switched on since Massage!Athos is inconsiderately fictional. I'm done in painting for today now anyway, and DH has got some of that 'goes on pink, drys white' paint for the final coat on the ceiling, which will hopefully avoid the whole 'Oh, I missed a spot' annoyance.

DH was watching the tennis this morning and I said I'd join him whilst having my cuppa. Four hours later... Incidentally I can confirm that watching tennis and knitting at the same time doesn't work.

Good news re cottage progress Wicked.

We’ve had a bit of wind here and it’s raining now but we’ve got away with any weather issues very lightly where we are.

I can’t imagine trying to watch tennis and knit Apricot. I sometimes iron whilst watching tennis which can get a bit dodgy at times.

Rather breezy overnight but it should be calming down a bit now. Too much Foyle’s War yesterday resulted in some odd dreams last night and I woke up in the night feeling weird and not able to get back to sleep for a while.

Morning. It's a bit windy again here Ther's a blackbird trying to balance on the washing line. In this wind. he gave up rapidly and transferred to the bird table which doesn't swing about like a loon.

Was daaaaaaaark whe I woke up, and has lightened up now. Lots of broken/high clouds.

I had a nice hot bath last night, which meant I still went to bed later than I should (bath'n'book) because no HBFs were waiting for me in bed I am an idiot.

Work and painting today. And I've pulled a hamstring somehow, which is a pain in the arse (not literally - it's a literal pain in the leg).
