Much more Fafa Zaf in the last couple of episodes, although Carrie's wench status is at risk - she has been in close proximity to Faf Zaf one-on-one on several occasions and has not tried to shag him. Unlike most of the men she encounters exaggerates Inexplicable. He is looking fiiiiiiine in his uniform & has spent the last episode being all quietly sleuthy and a bit noble

This morning we have clear sky and a not-very-impressive sunrise though the sunset last night was a good one. There's a plane going over at the moment and its vapour trail is lit up all pink. I should probably go out and feed the chickens since I can see outside, unfortunately I ca also see the frost and general coldness, so I'm not overly keen. Even the garden birds are being a bit reluctant to come out of the hedges and eat yet.

DISASTER! My computer did an update last night and now won't boot up. I've spent all day trying to sort it without success.

In the bathroom cabinet I have found: one bottle of sleeping pills prescribed to my late mother in 2008, two packs of pills prescribed to my late aunt in 2010 and two tablets from a pack prescribed to me in 2015. The zombie pills were returned to the chemist years ago. Dr Google says sleeping pills can last for ever donkey's yonks and won't do any harm but may not work. I had a better night last night but at least I know I have some tablets to try if I need them.

Oh no Apricot! I bet knowing the pills are there just in case will have a similar effect on your sleep as, say, having a sore leg for ages, making a GP appointment and then the leg feeling better before you get there.

Morning all. We're having a repeat of yesterday's sunrise - no clouds to reflect off, so the sky's just gradually getting lighter. Saying that, when the sun did actually come up yesterday, it was a rather beautiful golden orb. So I shall look forward to that. Now swans overhead (that I've seen) but we have three blackbirds having a minor dust-up over the bird food. KillerKitten has his nose pressed to the window. At least he's not out there trying to kill them just now, though judging by his behaviour, I think there may be a spider in peril - or at least its web is.

Afternoon. Another nice day although I haven't seen much of it.

I've eventually managed to boot up the computer, but I've had to refresh it which has saved all my files but wiped everything I put on it when I first had it, so I've got to start all over again. How Microsoft can think it's alright to do this to people just by automatic updates I don't know. It's a pretty common problem apparently. At least it didn't cost me anything to put it right.

Oh and I can't get into MN on it as I've forgotten my password.

We’ve had northern lights around here tonight, most unusual, I saw it on FB and ran to look outside, I missed most of it but did se that the sky was brightly lit at one place but it moved away. Here’s a pic from FB.

Wow Wicked - I saw there was an amber alert, but we had cloud and I don't think the lights got anywhere near us. I'm glad you saw a bit though. They are on my bucket list.

Plasterer is Monday LetUs so today (the entire weekend) is all tidying and preparation.

It's all grey and cloudy outside. I left DH to go the livestock since he and DS were up early for SportingActivity. DS did a really good job of tidying last night, but was late to bed, so apparently he's a little zombie this morning.

I've spent all day sorting the computer out. So many things are displaying differently. All my thirty thousand pics have two blue arrows in the bottom corner and it gives me a headache just to look at them. I've no doubt I'll get there eventually.

I feel like I've been tidying all day (except for the past couple of hours which have involved food, and the visit up to Dad's before that). DH has got snooker on TV which is allowable because CuteKitten is fascinated by it . Now I have to do more tidying, because we have tidied/sorted onto the bed, and that has to be unearthed so we can do the sleeping thing.

What are you knitting LetUs? I'm trying to copy a jumper I saw a pic of. I have no pattern but I know how many stitches and rows fit me.

I’ve finished one hat as a gift and have just started another from a different pattern as another gift. I can’t ever imagine knitting anything other than a basic square without a pattern! I’m very impressed!

Evening all. I thought I'd posted today but obviously not. I have been tidying, and that's about it. Plasterer is coming at some ungodly hour tomorrow morning and the house is still a tip, but hopefully tidy enough that he get get to the bits he needs to get to.
