Dark etc. Have had sort of low grade wibbly wobbly anxiety feeling last few days and I’d be really grateful if it would fuck off. It’s Friday though and it’s a Bank Holiday weekend so that’s something.

Very wet outside, but have managed to Freecycle something already this morning, so that was a a good start to the day.

I need to decide what to watch this evening - probably finish up series 2 of Homeland, but that won't last all night.....

Ooooh. A New Year lock-in with wenches and HBFs sounds like the best way to end the year/start the year.

It's dark and grey and mizzly drizzly here. StupidKitten may or may not be outside in it. He's disgruntled this morning because he escaped upstairs when I came down, but then heard IntelligentCat having biscuits, so he came back down to steal them. which mean that IC and biscuits were moved out of his range (and so she could go upstairs) and he got presented with a flavour of food that isn't his favourite. Though saying all that, he then got tucked inside my dressing down for 10 minutes or so while I made my breakfast, so it's not like he's neglected and miserable. I've heard the cat flap going, and the rain has started properly now so if he's outside, he won't be for long.

Bin men came this morning - yay! Though they came early and I didn't get the last batch of recyling out to them in time. (Had planned to do it this morning. Ho hum...)

Wicked we have anti vaxers invading a 'test and trace' place and causing chaos in the belief that it was a vaccination centre. Can we not find an uninhabited country/plant somewhere and just export them all there?

Hope that Apricot slept better (I woke up with another stressy dream this morning ) and that LetUs has a decent day at work.

To be honest, I keep forgetting that it's NYE.

It was wet most of the morning, and then cleared over to give us some actual sunshine I have done stuff (including processing the last of the (rather rubbery) apples.)

Wibbly wobblies still rumbling but . Colleague has tested positive which means lots of extra work for me and the other support staff to cover. Negative LFT when I got home but I’m feeling a bit ropey so I’ll do another tomorrow morning. DS2 went for his second vaccine but he went very pale and felt wobbly and a bit panicky, so they wouldn’t jab him which is understandable. I’ll see if I can get him to try again over the weekend.

Wenches sound like they have some super evenings planned!

Killer Kitten left a mouse (stomach) for us, and then caught another one outside while I was chickening. He's not eating that muck in his bowl though.

DH has been at DS's all day. He always has to have a project on the go and the latest is building a log cabin in the garden and to that end he has to clear a garage to store all the components when they arrive and they've been building shelving or some such.

Have had another fairly lazy day as am a bit tired, stayed up late (naturally) & then was woken around 7am when DS got in, after which the cats were restless so sleep was interrupted. A few chores done & planning on doing very little this evening.

Hope the project’s going well Apricot. We (me and siblings) are trying to come up with smaller stuff that dad can get stuck into at our various houses to help him keep active without him realising that’s what we’re doing. Mother’s in on it. So, keeping active but without overdoing it because obviously he’s getting on a bit now. (Not that that’s what’s going on with your DC and MrApricot obviously).

Haven’t done much really today. Will try to get DS2 out for a walk tomorrow and to get his second vaccine (which he seems to now be very anxious about but neither he nor I know why).

Evening. Nice day, still quite warm for the time of year.

I've been going through some records of relatives whose estates we've dealt with over the years as there is a filing drawer full of it and it would be a nightmare for the DC if they had to deal with it. I've chucked loads of it away but there is some interesting stuff going back to the 1890s which I've kept in case they want to delve into their ancestry.

Lovely jigsaw WW, I'd love to have a go at one, but I don't seem to have the time.

Evening. I have been all busy and productive for once, so I'm a bit knackered. But much garden tidying has been done (greenhouse, chicken coop, log splitting and stacking, etc.) A bath is on the cards for tonight.
