I am very full of very good food and a few drinks. Given the crapfest work turned into after 3.30 today, it’s surprising it wasn’t more. There was much chatting and laughing too.

Tipping it down. Much to do - washing, baking, homework wrangling, tidying because the house is an absolute tip —actually things like my clothes and things, not the rest of the house— so I’ll just sit here and have another brew.

DS1 and his girlfriend are down and we’re all out at a family party tonight.

DH went off to SportingActivity this morning, and I had another of those weird dreams where I think he's back in the house. Though in this dream I told him that it was a dream and he was at skiing. He insisted it wasn't and he wasn't....Is my subconscious is developing a split personality? When I got up I had to ask DS if he'd come in to say good morning, or if I'd dreamed that as well (He had.)

Today I have about 3.5 hours to get myself together, then I am off out for the rest of the day. This will mostly involve checking the weather and travel plans and then wondering what to wear...

Back from party which was okay. DS2 didn’t feel well though/was feeling really anxious which manifested as a stomach ache which didn’t make for the funnest evening. Still at least DH got to “nip” to the bar for over an hour and leave us sat there on our own whilst he socialised with friends he’d not seen for a bit.

Hope travel plans went smoothly Helen. You’ve some bonkers dreams swirling about at the moment.

Bloody awful weather here. Hope everything went okay closing up the caravan Apricot and you’re back home/will soon be home all lovely and warm.

Am working up to doing the ironing. May watch something historical with Bettany Hughes in it.

Afternoon. It has also been bloody awful weather here. Blowing a gale and driving rain. Though currently sunny. It's not cold either, so that's a positive note.

Last night was fun, but OMG the stress of travelling! Getting there was fine, but getting back... I started in a taxi, but got stuck in traffic. So ran to the tube and got to the platform with a train arriving in 1 minute. Then sat and counted stations and time passing and practised breathing calmly on route the overground station, and sprinted off the tube and to the last train home - getting on with 3 minutes to go. If I'd missing that first tube then I'd have been stuffed, and paying for a hotel. Not fun. If I do that again I'm booking somewhere in London. Other than the travel it was a fun night though. Got home at 2am [yawn]

Today I have been horsing and collecting windfalls and all the usual. Thee was minor confusion this morning due to DH's scatter-gun approach to changing clocks last night

Which reminds me - I have half a bottle of sprite left from last night in my bag stuff. #PartyAnimal

Had a very nice evening with friend last night - much catching up and a few glasses of .

Today I seem to be mostly playing the washing hokey-cokey. It's quite windy out there so after several days of it looking quite promising but there being no wind so not much dried, I want to hang stuff out, but it keeps getting drenched

Now time to get some work done

Afternoon wenches, we're back. The weather at the caravan wasn't bad, but we had to paddle to get into the caravan as the park is flooded at our end.

We had the three DGC round this afternoon for the first time since pre-covid, which was exhausting lovely.

Hurrah for crisps and Sheba, night out, party and friend staying.

It’s basically rained a lot for most of the day. Ironing done, parent visiting done, DH getting the nark because I was trying to tell him something about DS2 whilst he’s trying to listen to something on the tv about football having forgotten he’d chatted away for half of tonight’s Strictly - done.

NiceColleague and I were helping out another department today as well as doing our own stuff. Funny how it never seems to be reciprocated.
