Miserable cloudy weather again here

Hope that Fancy is having fun at the Gig. We had tickets for something in September but it got cancelled. Apparently the rescheduled version doesn't have the same acts booked - the ones that were the reason I booked the tickets. I think 'fleeced' is probably appropriate.

DS appeared at some point between 3-4am last night. I'm a bit trashed. Doesn't bode well for today's spreadsheets!

Another busy Saturday morning. Then this afternoon will be helping DS1 get stuff packed up for his return to university. Can’t believe it’s been a year nearly since he was packing up that first time.

Gig was good thanks, the final act was the one we'd wanted to see, but he had been replaced. The others were great though, which was just as well as half way through his set the replacement launched into a misogynistic rant about feminists. FancyMan walked out and complained, wish I'd done the same but was worried I'd get picked on while leaving Prick. Hope he clocked my suffragette mask on the way out, but I suspect given his loudly expressed ignorance of women's history he would have been oblivious.

More Worky McWork this week and for the next few weeks. Did manage a pink 'n Lucifer night though and the new series of Casa de la Papel has started....

Afternoon. Quite pleasant outside, I think it's getting a bit warmer.

DH has gone all creative in the front garden. He's built a new rockery from some rocks next-door-neighbour was getting rid of and has spent a small fortune on heathers and stuff to fill it. I'm not sure this is the right time of year to be planting, but I'm keeping out of it.

The telly box has kindly recorded a new episode of Grantchester which I wasn't aware of. We'll watch it tonight. I still miss Sidney, but the new chap is quite acceptable.

In today's shopping I got the wrong sized top to DS, and the manshapes bought an electric guitar together. They're producing remarkably tuneful noises so far..

The rockery sounds nice Apricot - I always fancied a rockery, but now I just think it would be yet another bit of garden that would need weeding/be overrun with weeds.

Seems to be sunny this morning. Here’s to MrHelen and MiniHelen continuing to be tuneful.

DS1 heading back today so that’ll be a bit weird. Also I’ve realised I’ve not checked that DS2’s school shoes still fit. He goes back on Wednesday.

Not much planned today other than helping DS1 pack up, and the usual parent visiting and ironing.

Planting now is good for some plants I think - spring and late summer are often recommended times, but whether that's true for heather's I don't know!

Afternoon. Beautiful day, I've been outside all day, after getting the line full of washing. Terribly noisy though. Shooting in the field opposite, people slamming car doors, music, MerryWidow's dog barking and the lad over the road on his drum kit. It must be payback for DS and his drums when he was a teenager.

Hope the guitar is still proving to be tuneful Helen.

I'm sure DH took advice from the garden centre Fancy so hopefully they will survive the winter.

Set to be warm again today. DS2’s last day of freedom so he’ll be in a super mood tonight. It’s not that he doesn’t like school - he does - it’s just a change. I shall go into it with positivity and jollyness.
