Afternoon. Another very hot day, but I don't seem to have seen much of it except for pegging the washing out. I went to the dentist this mornng and had the usual lecture from the hygienist.

We were on school run this afternoon. DH dropped me at Sainsbury's while he collected DGS but unfortunately they missed each other as he came out of a different door and I was left standing in the heat with piles of groceries until they eventually found each other.

Wondered where you were Helen. The realisation when your internet is down is terrifying. It's like when you have a power cut and you keep switching stuff on out of habit.

Meh sort of day at work, punctuated by really very annoying people. I was alone too Fancy. We should have been in an office together. Imagine the drop in productivity

It's been hot here too, but I have (mostly) been WorkyMcWorkFace and not out in the sunshine enjoying it. Took StupidKitten to the vet for a check-up and he managed to escape from his cat-box on route. Driving with a kitten on your shoulder is not to be recommended for a stress-free experience

not such a bad idea Letus, I was looking at legal files. You could've helped me get through them in half the time so we could bunked off all afternoon in good conscience

Afternoon. I did have a lie-in this morning though, since DH got up to feed livestock. Note, it was a lie-in, not a sleep-in. But better than getting up

It's hot here too - blissful sunshine, and the combines are out in force.

DS has been hanging out with friends all afternoon. I have been working. Joy. It has been a mass of spreadsheets and "Well, WhereTF has that money gone then?" comments. ColleaguesOnHoliday will love me when they return... "See this project from 3 years ago? Can you remember/I can't find..." Happy days

And now, because DH is going out, I must do the cooking thing for tea.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow morning routine being more familiar LetUs - I think I'll have the same problem and CuteKitten will get short shrift until DS is safely out the door.

Thankfully the office is staying cooler than it has in recent warmer weather so I found it a bit toastier than expected when I got home.

DS2 has had a good first day back. Likes his timetable. A few new teachers on there (new to him and/or the school). Going to have to get him more PE tops though.

Our thunderstorms are forecast for the early hours and then a break, then they’re back in the afternoon.

We’ve had rain here. If we had thunder overnight, it didn’t wake me up. Unless it was drowned out by DH’s snoring/heavy breathing.

Morning all. Sunny here so far, but lots of high cloud. It's probably good that it's not irresistibly good, because I need to concentrate on work today. Ridiculous project is back with the client asking for examples of it's ridiculousness - FML etc. Plus fun project is back for round 3

I also need to mend DS' PE joggers. FMLeaving it to the last minutes!

We had a surprise invitation to a BBQ at DS's after I posted yesterday. His GF's family were there and it was nice to have a get together after nearly two years!

I've just realised that I haven't fixed DS' joggers - arse.

Well, DS has been packed off to school, and he is a joy and a delight He's not wearing the joggers that I mended for him, his new blazer (which he tried on and approved) is too big and he wants his old one back (it's been passed on), he doesn't want to to after school stuff tonight... Good luck with that then DH because I'm off for a meet-up from this afternoon until Sunday. Which means I also need to get on with work, packing, shower, whatever else I need to be doing...

Nothing much happening in my life, just work and sleep. Been to the Recyling Center and chucked away lot of stuff, including a table, quite proud of that. Trying to sort through all my stuff and see what I can donate or sell etc.
