Very wet and windy here too, did try a walk with FancyMan, but we soon scuttled home.
We did get some thunder in the week but not much, so still holding out for a good storm.

DD is out for dinner with her dad tonight apricot so Friday night is scaled back - we may watch a Lucifer when she gets back.

Had a lovely lie in this morning. Watching Secrets of the London Underground. There’s something fascinating about disused Tube stations and it’s amazing just how long everything’s been running.

Today will be washing, tidying, general housework, etc.

Haven't packed that much yet Fancy So I know what I'll be doing this weekend. Got the key today, felt really great to be out there He even had a cleaner there, I hadn't expected that.

We didn't manage to squeeze Lucifer in as we got drawn into the mixed triathlon relay, good in a different way!

That's fab that a cleaner was booked in ww and good luck with the packing.

Evening all. We are at HolidayDestination#2 which has no mobile signal but the wifi is fine, so phew! A bit of rain today, but not much. Tomorrow we are out walking I think. Not sure how well that will go, DH and I feel like utter cripples at the moment, but we'll call out maintain rescue if needed give it a go.

I need to get off my backside and into the shower so I can watch Max Whitlock in the gymnastics. And also do house stuff and take DS2 to sportingactivity.

Morning all. Headache went overnight, thank goodness, but I'm just a walking back of aches and pains, it's quite ridiculous. I have pinched one of DH's heavy duty anti-inflammatories/pain killers.

Went yomping up ad down castle towers yesterday, and more walking today. DS will be a delight, no doubt Currently watching Gymnastics though - Yay for Max Whitlock! hopefully!

Afternoon, still in PJ's watching Olympics here Waiting for DD to get up and watch the Grand Prix before watching the gymnastics together.

Yay for headache buggering off Helen but boo to other aches and pains - I hope the walking is flatter than it is around chez Fancy

I asked DS2 what he’d like to do next week, other than lots of walks. He suggested sitting down and not going for walks.

Very much enjoyed the gymnastics result. Was at the BMX riding. Got the athletics on now and am throwing my support behind Italy in the high jump.

Afternoon. Nice day, even sat in the sun for half an hour.

Oh woe! You know I said we were going through a phase of stuff breaking down? Well, half of the socket outlets in the house have suddenly stopped working. Fortunately they don't include the freezer or fridge, but I've currently got cupboards emptied, carpets and floorboards up and a DH who's tearing his hair out. This is going to last for some time. I feel sorry for him because he spent yesterday mending DS's macerator - again.

Ah yes, Marchal, that's him LetUs. Glad LovelyMIL is getting better.

Oh no Apricot Nightmare for you and MrA I hope he finds the problem quickly and that it's easily sortable. Has he tried turning it off and on again?

LetUs - that's very much the attitude of DS re. walking, though he surprised up today by not complaining and steaming on ahead. Then he took a shortcut, except it didn't connect with our path again so we ended up yodelling across the hillside and yomping through shoulder-high bracken up a hill to try and catch up with him! (We didn't, we met him at the top.) Walking back was fine after that because he was in charge of showing us the route he'd taken. It was ridiculously hot and sunny given where we are - better known for rain and LOTS of hills/mountains - not for sitting up top, enjoying the views in a t-shirt.

Have an appointment for DS2 this morning and then it’s washing and ironing because I was lazy and didn’t do it yesterday.

Morning all. I am achey to the point of being one low-grade, all-over ache. But we're off for another walk today and I'm sure I'll be fiiiiiiiiine.

Wildlife report - saw a raven yesterday which did it's upside-down flying thing for us Very cool...

Afternoon. DH hasn't done any more to the electrics problem as he was golfing this morning and gardening this afternoon as it's bin week. We have DGS for the day tomorrow so nothing will get done then. It doesn't really matter, all the important stuff works.

I went for a routine blood test this morning and took a sample in while I was there. I've still got the UTI so it's more antibiotics, but seven days this time.

Oh, I didn't know ravens did aerobatics, how fascinating.
