Afternoon wenches. We're home! Gosh it's hot. Very good for the mountain of washing we've brought back with us though.

It was lovely at the caravan, very peaceful. There are usually hoards of children at the weekend, but fortunately we were spared them this time. We had most of our meals on the decking, had one visit to a nice restaurant before the social distancing was scrapped, went on various walks and watched a sunset from the beach. Also did many sudokus.

Aww at CuteKitten's antics and glad chicks and chickens are happy together. Lovely Hidders video ignoring James Corden as suggested by Red.

DH is off again tomorrow on a golfing trip with his friends.

Another hot day ahead, although I’ve been lucky recently to get one of the parking spaces near the office that’s in shade for most of the day. Makes a huge difference at home time.

Morning. Headache has not buggered off, and I realised at 11pm last night that I had been meant to meet a friend yesterday, had confirmed with her an hour before I was due to leave.... then completely forgot. Shit I am fucking useless sometimes. My only consolation is that it wasn't just me she was meeting, and I wasn't in any way essential to plans. But still. Shit. I sent a grovelling text last night, and messenger this morning. WTAF is wrong with my brain?

Wildlife report - mildly traumatised by me and CuteKitten being outside on the patio. But most of the usual birds are on the feeder and ignoring us while Kitten 'kills' a piece of moss.

Hurrah for the shady parking space LetUs. There's nothing worse than getting into a car and being unable to touch the steering wheel or breathe the air inside the car.

Afternoon. More washing done. DH went off first thing and I've had the usual token message: 'At GC'.

I've got a UTI. Goodness knows where it's come from, I haven't used anything different whilst at the caravan. I phoned the GP at 9 o'clock and then had to wait in until lunchtime for her to phone back. I have antibiotics but can't start them until 7 o'clock at they're twice a day with food.

Well done LetUs. Hope Helen's headache has gone and Fancy has warmed up from the air con.

I didn’t manage to get one of the shady spots this morning. Someone who’s usually there a while after me was actually early/on time for a change so it was furnace conditions at home time.

I’ve been sitting outside for a little while, doing a sudoku. It’s quite peaceful for a change.

Oh LetUs - you're lovely and all, but I am fucking useless at times. Fortunately most of my friends (importantly, the ones who are on the receiving end of my uselessness) are always very forgiving and frequently amused by my uselessness.

Today's uselessness was kicking my shopping trolley whilst wearing sandals, breaking the nail and making the toe bleed over my sandals. I shall require the attentions of Dr Athos - he can start with my feet and work his way up. Pleaseandthankyou. (I haven't actually looked at it properly since. It looks a bit grim. I shall paddle in the stream with Aramis bath to clean it up.

Was that Fancy needing warm clothes? Should I provide some examples? Will the bloody tablet load them or will they all be corrupted?

Well back home it's 22 degrees at 10.30pm so the faf won't be needing all those clothes. In fact they won't need any clothes

Oh - HBFs. I had a dream! LetUs and I were at some sort of theatry event, and The Batch was there, and said the LetUs could have a photo with him. Except he didn't really want to and every time I took a photo he'd turned his back or was mostly hidden behind a pillar. Wierd. Then we had to walk back to a train station (just us, not The Batch too), and another friend complained that I hadn't invited her, but I reassured her that I would have if her HBF had been there

Hot and sunny out there again

Afternoon. I'm not going to say it's too hot but it's too hot.

I've been trying to take advantage by going through the wardrobes and washing stuff like jackets that would take ages to dry in the winter. Oh and I've done the winter duvet in the bath as it wouldn't go in the machine.

The antibiotics seem to have kicked in thank goodness.

Evening all. I washed a throw today, for exactly the same reason Apricot (dressing gowns got done yesterday) Other than that, I did work things, aka spreadsheets and stuff.

Cute kitten has spent a lot of the day rampaging on the patio and being either v. cute or utterly demonic

Oh wenches, I have done something horrible to my back It got progressively worse last night from about 9pm and now it's settled to "sore and really don't' try to bend like that" (It will probably be fine by this evening and I'm just being a drama queen.

Hurrah for summer holidays anyway. DS slept in until nearly 9am, as did DH (who forgot to set his alarm) I had a slightly later start than usual and then had peace and quiet while CuteKitten rampaged outside (which is more fun that having his breakfast) Daft animal.

Evening. Absolutely boiling today, although tomorrow is forecast to be a bit cooler.

I've had DGS round this afternoon while DD went to have her nails done. He's been playing on my computer so I hope I don't find he's done a CuteKitten on it and changed some settings.

Evening all. I thought I'd posted earlier. Today has been work, and not much else. One of my clients went MIA, but has reappeared so their project has kicked off again, along with the others that are ongoing.

Back is uncomfortable still. I'm not sure if a hot bath woulefromb would help, or if I'd need a winch to get out of it afterwards.

CuteKitten was locked in the kitchen so he can't steal StupidCat's food and get thwacked for it both cats can eat in peace, but has been released to rampage around the room again. Stupid Cat has gone out for some peace and quiet.

I think we might want to install a walk-in fridge in the Tavern?

BBC Weather app tells me pollen count is medium. This is blatantly a lie. It does feel a tiny bit cooler so far though.

Slightly bonkers dream last night, but no HBFs, so, meh.

Afternoon. It's clouded over and is cooler now. I've had two awful nights with the heat and ended up in DS's old room last night as it was a couple of degrees cooler.

The walk-in fridge is a good idea. If I get desperate I open the freezer and stick my head in.
