That’s a Terry Pratchett isn’t it Helen? There’s been a couple of his things on BBC Sounds which I enjoyed. One with a dragon being summoned, and the other had Sheila Hancock playing one of the Wyrd Sisters which I really enjoyed. Think they’ve both gone off Sounds now though.

Friiiiddaaayyyyy! Forecast is sunny and warm so I expect the office to be quiet with even more people WFH which suits me as long as they don’t all leave it to the last minute to want something doing. I’d think they co-ordinate with each other to send requests through at the same time but I don’t think they have that level of organisation

Morning all. Cloudy and mild here today. All livestock and offspring are fed and watered. CuteKitten is being very cute so far this morning. He likes to spend the morning tucked up inside my dressing gown while I get breakfast ready, It's not massive convenient, but more so than having him hang off my ankles and at least I can use both hands (and one arm - he rests on the other, so it's a bit of a t-rex impression in terms of my reach on one side, iyswim)

LetUs - tell your colleagues that you're leaving at 3pm - then they will send everything at 2:55, leaving you another 2 hours to dooooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiiittt Assuming you're off at 5pm of course.

Has been lovely and sunny here too. I even sat outside for a bit and let CuteKitten explore the patio. Work went on forever today, but I think I achieved stuff, so fingers crossed (I'll log back in after the weekend and pick up a depressing "No, that's wrong" email now, and spend another 10 hours trying to reconcile stuff. )

Morning all. It's the last SaturdaySportingActivity before the summer break, 321 so I'm going along. AnnoyingKitten has already turned my tablet onto flight mode and turned the screen brightness right down. FFS.

Warm and sunny here too, will do a bit of work in an attempt to get ahead of myself next week - will have to swap my days around but am otherwise hoping to have a more normal week. It has been quite pleasant in the office the last couple of days - a colleague with a desk near mine has tested positive, so most people left to WFH. I figure I must have immunity for a short window at least, so I stayed. It has been very quiet and calm

Billion washes done with resulting pile of ironing that can be seen from space. Got baking finished before the buttercream melted. Sat outside for a while, tried to read but gave up because of the many children next door shouting and actually screaming at each other. They can’t be more than two feet apart from each other. I know they’re excited but jeez take a breath.

Had a shower like what you do on holiday to wash off all the suncream, so I’ve put on a nice top and shorts like I would on holiday too for the evening meal

Evening wenches. OMG I am pooped. Came back from SportingActivity at lunchtime and then spent the rest of the day up and down and lugging a platform ladder about to cut the hedge and lop the tree and then tidy it all up. And I've just cooked tea. And it has been baking hot all day.

Athos will be required to provide a massage and a hot bath - though it doesn't feel like hot bath weather. But I need a soak, not just a wash.

DH and DS have been out at SportingCompetition after SroptingActivity (we will skim over how badly well they did) but they got sent round the houses by accidents and closed roads trying to get there. I got phone calls asking me how to avoid it all while I was trying to drive home, and had to do emergency route planning in a layby on my trusty road atlas - so much for DH's sat nav

Morning. Not a cloud in the sky today. Chicks and chickens are mixing - not sure how successful that's going to be but it has to happen sometime, and CuteKitten wants to live outdoors and chase flies on the patio. StupidCat is done with this shit and wants to be let upstairs to snooze on the bed/chair/wherever she sees fit.

We have no plans - which means copious loads of laundry, and other domestic delights. DS will be glued to his xbox because he has a new game.
