Dry and warm day forecast so it’s currently raining. Good for the garden and the birds though. Small brown birds - probably sparrows - flitting in and out of the tree at the front this morning.

Expecting it to be dead at work today as most people, except for support staff, will be at home or leaving early for the football. The rest of us will leave shortly before kick off/at 5 to make our way along one of the streets in town with the most pubs and bars. Waaheyyyyy! It’ll be fine though I’m sure.

Kick off at 5 o'clock is a supid time as it clashes with cooking of the meal. I shall be watching and no doubt shouting at the screen and jumping up and down a lot.

Town centre was starting to sound a bit lairy from around 4.30 which I could hear in my office. Could see a few straggly wanderers who hadn’t settled down outside the pubs when I left but it was otherwise okay. Traffic was unsurprisingly quiet

I dread to think how long kitten hyperactivity lasts Apricot. We got StupidCat when she was two and they seemed perfectly calm from what I remember. I do hope it doesn't take two years for CuteKitten to calm down though (Internet says hopefully calming down from 6 months )

Today, DH checked the weather forecast and we had 6-15% chance of rain. It rained all day until sometime after 4pm

Evening from the plague house. Had a positive LFT on Sunday and am waiting for the PCR test. Am feeling better than Saturday but still decidedly off colour. Could be worse, am watching yesterday's cycling and Geraint Thomas has just had his dislocated shoulder popped back in and seems determined to carry on 😁this is the man who rode most of the 2013 Tour with a cracked pelvis

Anyhow, hope the sun burn didn't materialise ww. Precious little chance of that here, bit like Helen it has been torrential here.

The dinner was an hour late last night, but hey ho. I watched the 1966 final and most of the other disasters games in between, so it was a great to see them win. Yes, Poland are out Helen.

I'm going to a funeral tomorrow. My aunt was the last of my DF's seven siblings, and my cousin who I've only seen a handful of times since we were children has invited me. I want to go, but I hope the crem has all precautions in place.

I’ll tell DS2 that you watched the 1966 final Apricot, he’ll be well impressed. There’s a documentary about the 66 World Cup that he downloaded ages ago. I’ve lost count of the number of times he’s watched it. for tomorrow. Hope it all goes okay.

Cute Kitten has been bonkers all evening, but is not asleep on me again. He's mostly been chasing around and playing with whatever he can lay his paws on, which is progress - less chewing of me, and I'm trying to encourage the idea that I'm so sleeping on, not eating.

Have been watching Hacksaw Ridge with DS, who was very impressed by it (though it took me forever to persuade him to watch it). Was a very good film. Now I'm hopefully watching Murray win his match... I was thinking it was highlights, but I think it may be live...
