Afternoon. Sunny and quite warm, sat out in the garden this afternoon.

Yes Helen aloneness in the house is wonderful, although I'd be happy to have a cat on my lap. Hope MrHelen's eye is alright.

Golf has resumed and it's amazing what I can get done when I'm not being called all the time. I went to Sainsbury's this morning and had a walk round the lake and saw MummySwan asleep on her shiny new nest, presumably with eggs underneath her. BadDaddySwan was patrolling his the lake terrorising the other waterfowl.

Yay for a short week and hopefully some lovely weather.

DH's eye is sore but he has eyedrops, and dropped off SportyEquipment for DS. Which DS didn't need because he'd borrowed some. Oh well.

I was up stupid-late last night and have got a headache - I suspect that the two are related.

I did have to do the cleaning yesterday - boo! But DS is home for a few days - yay!

Had a dental hygienist appointment this morning - so nice to get my teeth all clean. Then spent the day with FancyMan - we were in the garden too apricot. I was getting all disappointed this morning as it was cloudy and chilly, but then this afternoon it got brilliantly sunny and warm.

Morning all. It's gorgeous out there, but cold - we had a ground frost overnight. I have wild fantasies of getting enough work done that I can get into the garden later today. Admittedly, as fantasies go, it's not that wild but from previous experience, it's about as likely as encountering HBFs at the chicken coop. The headache has gone, which is a relief.

Hurrah for returning DCs. Is DS2 still at school LetUs? we've stopped for Easter here.

Didn’t sleep well last night and have felt a bit “off” all day. Going to try for an early night.

Afternoon. Lovely day here. I got the washing on the line and did other jobs early so I could sit in the garden this afternoon.

Yay for having the DCs home for Easter. DGS doesn't break up until Thursday I think. We haven't seen him properly for so long. If the weather is good over the weekend I'll try to organise something in the garden.

Morning all. The sunrise this morning was bonfire orange, with a few purple clouds. So it looks like another good day out there. Wildlife report - one robin waiting at the door.

DH's eye is much better now - he's decided that he can stop using the glue ointment that they gave him. My leg is somewhat improved, but I did something to my back last night to compensate for any illusion of increased mobility. I am just old and falling to bits, that's clearly what the problem is. Though Dr Athos is more than welcome to perform a thorough examination.

DS is off to be sporty, DH is taking him.

I have been gardening, with StupidCat meandering around and eyeing up the nicely dug patches for use as a toilet later demanding to know why she's not getting attention. Now I've come in to do a bit of work and she yowling at my feet, demanding to know why she's not getting attention.

FFS I feel so on edge at the moment and I don’t know why. Fucking fed up of it. I shall watch a Morse to calm down.

Afternoon. Another lovely day although it's clouded over now.

Only got about 3 hours' sleep last night. I usually drop off quite quickly but then wake up for an hour or so in the middle but last night I couldn't go to sleep. No idea why. I went and made a cuppa at 2 o'clock but still couldn't go off. Oh well, at least I didn't have a busy day, in fact I've done sod all.

I'm the same LetUs. Whatever I'm doing I feel I should be doing something else. Can't relax.

Spent the afternoon digging over the big border and weeding. Also repurposed some weeds from the front of the garden - they have been added to the 'native woodland plants' section at the bottom of the garden, basically it's the end of the garden where the lawn threw in the towel in the fight against the moss. The primroses love it down there, so I am letting then run riot.

Morning. FML I'm tired - unexpected and pointless trip to A&E last night saw me getting to bed at 3am. (DH got injured at SportyThing) A&E was relatively quiet but they appeared to have 1 Doctor on duty so when we left DH still had an hour to wait - assuming he didn't get bumped down the list by more-injured-than-him people. Will try for the walk-in clinic this morning.

I agree LetUs - all 'Not Sleeping' experiences should involve HBFs

He's on his way home - been x-rayed and re-bandaged and 'lucky not to have done something worse'.

Have just seen a friend and her little DD (in proper 'small and cute' mode) for the first time in a year and it was lovely I'd forgotten the gentle burbling to themselves and the intense concentration of 3-year-olds when they're examining a random stick

I've also been watching a toddler this afternoon, but on video. DGD has requested a copy of the videos I took of her when she was little and it was lovely to revisit them. She's a teenager now and looks a lot older than she is. We don't see her and her brother very often, particularly at the moment when it's in a car on the drive, and it's always a bit of a shock to see how much she's grown up.

Why do I keep thinking it's Saturday.

That sounds a lovely way to spend an afternoon Apricot . Even looking at photos of the DC shocks me how much they’ve changed. Can’t believe that DS2 used to have silky blond hair with lovely soft curls at the back. He’s darker than me now.
