Anyway, lovely blue skies and sunshine, and cold. The bird bath was frozen over and the grass was crunchy underfoot. Wildlife report: grumpy because I haven't given them another fat square yet.

Today I'm hoping that work will be a bit less busy/that I'll waste less time online, and be able to have a proper go at scrubbing the floor in RedecoratedRoom (which needs another coat-and-a-half of paint on the ceiling).

I dropped my dinner on the floor last night. I had lumps of scalding hot shepherd's pie all over my feet and I didnt know which one to hoik up under the cold tap first. I had to laugh, it must have looked hilarious. The second one to go under now has a huge blister on it.

Lol at Wench/LoD crossover with acronyms. We keep pausing it to have a discussion, it's the only way to keep up with it.

Well done to FancyDD. All these vaccinations must be awful for the needlephobic.

There was supposed to be a picture this morning of Athos looking interested Helen, but it wouldn’t load.

Work wasn’t much better today. DS2’s options interview went okay, but we’re not much further forward and the deadline to submit his form is fast approaching. I’ll admit I’m getting a bit stressed/anxious about it and for him.

Have had an email from one of DS2’s teachers in response to my query about options. Very very helpful and informative so hopefully that will lead DS2 to his final decision.

Morning all. Another sunny day, the birds are doing the tweety flappy thing, I have done some hoovering and got a load of washing on. This all seems a bit over-efficient, so I'm worried that I may have used up all today's productivity in one go!

Today I also have plans for an exciting trip to the DIY shop because we ran out of paint. Plus pick up some stuff DF's shopping for him, which I forgot yesterday. Oops.

Oooo I’m feeling very motivated!

I was in our Lidl the other day. Didn’t buy croissants or apple turnovers. Had no idea that I had that level of self control.

Rain again overnight but at least the hail that was forecast for tomorrow has gone.

Options are selected and he’s taking his form in today so that’s done and now we wait to see if he gets his choices.

Today is a day for staying at home with copious brews, lots of crisps, and a marathon watch of Miss Marple. That’s the dream anyway.

I was tempted by the croissants in Lidl, but to be honest, they're in open shelves and I didn't fancy half the town breathing over them in current circumstances.

DH had his second jab this morning but is worried because he didn't feel it go in and his arm hasn't started to ache. I've told him to go back and complain and ask for another one.

Got lots of things half done at work but which I can’t finish because I’m waiting for other people to let me have other stuff. This seems to be a theme amongst wench colleagues.

My day went as planned. Two loads of washing dried on the line, which was good. But not exciting. I also bought paint - unexciting. And did work. Unexciting.

Speaking of jabs, DF said that he never felt them do his first jab, and his arm didn't ache until a day or so later. So there's time for MrA...

Woke up early and remembered should have left something out of the fridge overnight for DS2 to take to school for food tech. It doesn’t actually matter that much and it’ll soon be soft enough to use (buttercream) but my brain decided otherwise and wouldn’t let me go back to sleep. Top.

Hurrah for Friday, and why am I so tiiiiired?! I've just sorted out DS's lunch order, which should have been sent in yesterday. Hopefully it's sorted on a repeating cycle now, so I can stop sending it late every week.
