I’d better get up and start the day. Homework’s back up and running so there’s that joy to contend with.

Morning. My headache is laughing sniggering in the face of asprin. It's muted, but there still. FFS and all that. Has yours gone now LetUs? I think I probably need to stop looking at screens.

DH is still grumbling about his arm being sore.

Wildlife report - we seem to have two reed buntings now - or two pairs, because there are two males and they're not fighting. It's all a bit grey and dreary out there, but not raining And I have plants to plant...

Sore arm here too and feeling a bit tired, although it's been a busy week at work so the long days haven't helped with that!

Dreamt I walked to DD's (3 miles) to get my car to go to the vaccination centre. When I got there I realised that my car was at home so I was going to have to walk back, thus missing my appointment time. Very stressful and woke up shattered.

Fortunately the actual appointment was fine. It was first thing, no-one was in there and I went straight through. Quite the opposite to the first one. Sore arm only at the moment. Hope they get on with it quicker for you soon WW.

DH has started the roof renovation. It's only one storey up but that's enough.

Evening

Up early and went food shopping and stocked up on wine. Then home and cleaned the apartment. Tried to make an indian dish, didn’t taste as I expected but it was ok. Now watching telly and drinking

Have had a bit of a busy day including trying to get decorations for cupcakes for DS2 to make at school. Bloody unicorns everywhere, nothing football related in the shops and I can’t be certain if I order anything that it’ll come in time. It doesn’t really matter but it’s just a bit annoying when you can’t find anything you want.

So is that you fully jabbed now Apricot? Is MrApricot back on terra firma?

DS2 did very well with homework but he’s rounded the day off losing his temper at his football game and telling DH to fuck off. Ho hum.

DH is still on the roof, and will be for some time. He's jetwashing the garage roof at the moment prior to replacing the corrugated roof between the garage and the house. Hope the crash mats will not be needed.

Yes LetUs I'm fully jabbed and can now go out and party as the lovely nurse jokingly suggested. I've had another headache all day but don't know whether that's from the jab or just the usual thing.

Washing and ironing done. DS2’s homework done. Much shouting at the football by DH and DS2 whilst I tried to relax with bath’n’book. Now watching a Poirot which has both Queenie and Duke of Savoy in it.

Gardening done, despite all the distractions from ScaredyCat who was running round the garden like a nutter and getting shouted at by blue tits when she climbed trees. Still feeling a bit meh, should get an early night, but will probably feel better later and not do as I ought

Today I have been doing a bit of gardening (without 'help' from a cat), supervising homework, a bit of painting, and copious amounts of filling where the plasterer didn't make good the join between the wall and the ceiling Not v. impressed with that. Still, we're getting there... We also had the excitement of the census and a covid test (cue much sneezing).

Now that Fancy has had her nightcap, she probably needs to head for bed.... LetUs has been cropped out of the picture again...

Looks a bit grey today. There are small birds on the feeder, a blackbird swooped in and then out again - obviously didn’t care for the menu - and there’s a jumbo pigeon picking up scraps.

Morning all. We've got bright sunshine at the moment, though there's also a layer of high clouds. I saw a black-headed gull this morning (complete with a black head) which is the first one I've noticed this year, so it's definitely spring

Have had a nice relaxed day with FancyMan, with a short interruption when I took DD for her vaccination. She's pretty needlephobic but the staff were lovely and so it got done with very little drama

Apricot - do they know their HBFs from the CBFs though? We should have a Wench/LoD crossover, then bamboozle each other with acronyms. IYSWIM? (I had heard that you either have to keep pausing LoD, or just go with the flow and hope you're not missing anything important )

Anyway, today has been all about the work. Every time I thought I could stop and do house stuff, more emails came in. (I might have wasted a fair bit of time faffing about online too....)

School vaccines are a nightmare for the needlephobic. Fortunately G's school have had brilliant and very down to earth matrons - DD gets jabbed on the floor and left to lie there for a few minutes until she feels ok to leave. It's tough if they don't want to stand out by having different arrangements though. She benefits from someone in her class being phobic to the nth degree - no-one's going to notice DD with this other person around 😁
