I love the descriptions of what the birds are up to. Just seen a blue tit on one of the feeders and a massive fuck off pigeon on the grass.

Short day today for me. Still can’t be arsed.

Blue tit was fist to the feeder this morning. Yesterday, the reed bunting just ignored me once the food was there and carried on stuffing its face while I went to feed the chickens. (Usually feeding the chicken induces vast amounts of panic in the garden birds and they fly off to hide in hedges.)

DS is in a strop with me already, because he's dropping behind his schoolwork again and I told him that x-box time will be reduced until he catches up again. I pointed out that it could be worse - some of his friends are completely banned during school days, but DS isn't one to look on the bright side. Joy.

We're on season 3 of The Crown and they've changed all the actors. You get used to the same ones and then you have to spend a whole episode working out who's who. Obviously the main ones are easy, but I've got IMDb open for all the others. And then we have to go through all the 'what was he/she in' again. I suppose it's better than other series when years go by and none of them age.

I'm clearly bored.

Evening. My local Lidl sucks! They advertised that they had British week so I skipped over there to buy some chocolate chip shortbread but they didn't have those, they hardly had anything as advertised

Apes I'm going to rent the cottage and the last thing I heard is that it probably would be ready in May, hopefully.

Thursday. I didn't get my bath, because I sat on the sofa/watched TV/tried to get hold of someone on the phone so in the end I just went to bed. (I fell asleep in the last bath I had, but did have the good sense to put the book down first.)

It's mizzly drizzly and also rainy outside. I'd rather be in bed, but then I don't think that DS will get any enough work done at all. He has to learn a dance routine for PE, which is going down like a lead balloon at high gravity levels. Urgh...

Also. emails... lots of emails... Will work through them one at a time. that's how you deal with them. Easy peasy

Just trying to imagine DS2’s reaction to what MiniHelen has to do for PE - it would pretty much be the same.

Don’t think I’ve dropped a book in the bath yet. I’ve dropped a drink before now though but that was the glass slipped rather than me falling asleep

Dropped a drink LetUs Disaster! Not sure that bathing in a gin is on the same scale as Cleopatra and milk, or Elizabeth of Something-or-other who bathed in blood. I shall bathe in the radiance of HBF approval. Or something like that.

I am actually having a bath tonight, because I'm cold, and a long-hot bath would do the trick. Obvs, HFBs are also an option too, but slightly less likely to happen.

How did DS2 get on this Tuesday btw LetUs? Hope he had a good day. DS has mostly got on ok. He's also a bottomless pit at the moment - there is no such thing as too much food. I have given birth to a black hole. He's had main course, pudding, a banana, and now more food...

DS2 got on well on Tuesday thankfully. Hopefully he’s broken the worrying about Tuesdays cycle. He’s also similar with continuous food. He needs to get moving and exercising.

I’m feeling a bit on the chilly side and have had a headache threatening all day so am hoping for an early night. We’ve got the athletics on. I’m tired just watching the running.

Have had a very 'meh' day. Though we did have some sunshine, so washing went on the line. in terms of highlights of the day, that's pretty 'meh' too

Have just watched Holy Grail with DS, who cackled his way through it, and cheered me up a bit, but still mostly 'meh'.

I should probably go up to the hayloft and snuggle under the blankets with HBFs. That would be nice.
