Morning all. Another golden sunrise and clear sky, plus a ground frost. The planter with bulbs is looking full of colour. Livestock is fed and watered and I'm going back to bed...

DS2 is already in a mood and is being a PITA. The sun’s shining though and I’ve got some more jigsawing to do so I’m just ignoring him for now.

Afternoon. Another beautiful day here. I actually got washing on the line for the first time this year. I wasn't sure whether it was still damp or just cold when I fetched it in so I put it in the tumbler to finish it off.

We're watching The Crown. It's quite entertaining. We're up to stuff that we remember and we keep saying 'well that definitely didn't happen'. And why do they have everyone in the 50s and 60s chain-smoking? In every scene they light up and then stub it out after two puffs. It really wasn't like that.

That viking ships programme sounds interesting Helen. Hope you got to finish it.

Have been out in the garden. As it was so warm I decided to empty the compost bin and clean it out. Most of the contents are now on the garden - more of a mulch than compost tbh but it was better than expected. Put a small amount back in and will try to restart it over the next few days, as long as this weather holds I can get some garden waste to add in. Oh the glamour! I spent most of the afternoon out there, although at least half was spent yakking with the neighbours, seems we are all craving a bit of company!

Yes I've heard that the Crown isn't terribly accurate apricot

Evening. I have also been outside doing gardening things, and had a load of washing on the line today after a certain cat walked muddy footprints all over the bedding

Tomorrow I anticipate more of the same.

I did manage to watch the rest of the programme Apricot, it was interesting - Viking ship preserved by waterlogging.

What busy wenches. I’ve done a couple of loads of washing and fuck all else. DH has done some garden stuff though.

I had a lovely long bath and am considering an early bed’n’book.

Morning all. Late night involving bath'n'book here. Still, awake early... The sun would, I'm sure, be splitting the sky, except the mist came down last night at sunset and we're still shrouded in gloom. Stupid Cat is cleaning her paws on me before she's allowed upstairs this morning.

Wildlife report - the usual small garden feathery things, plus two pheasants running away from me in terror.

Forgot to report - FAF dream! Thoroughly unexciting one though. For reasons that escape me, I was walking through a town with Strike, heading for the same building. And then I was having to plough/cultivate the front garden at either his house, or his main suspect's house, which was a pain because there were trees to avoid and one areas was really boggy. Strike didn't feature in that part. go figure...

I am debating whether to go and help friend-with-horses this morning, or carry on resting the pulled muscle, which is still pulled. I should probably rest it.

Evening. Lovely weather here once the misty foggy meh-ness burnt off. DH has been up a tree with a chainsaw again, and all the main branches/trunks have been lopped now. Plus sawn up and tidied away. Awesome - the garden usually gets left in a state for days afterwards. I was thinking that I need to follow Fancy's example and spread the compost heap on the garden. Then I considered how embarrassing it will be when lockdown ends, and actually, that sort of thing will still be the highlight of my weekend

Wildlife report - a field full of fieldfares when I walked up to see DF (who was out How very dare he! )

We're a bit knackered now and will be eating shortly. Then sleeping.

You're right LetUs - dream HBFs are most inconsiderate. apricot - I don't think I was even part of an investigation. I think I just happened to be there. #bemused

Was very lazy and didn’t go for a walk. I did do the ironing though.

Wicked appears to be practicing grappling on the mats. The lack of clothes is an interesting element.

Monday has rolled around again. It’s frosty again but it’s sunny and I can hear a bird that sounds like a squeaky wheel. Bit tired but that’s my own fault for a late night.

DS2 is already doing his schoolwork. I think he wants to finish for lunch and then he’s got an afternoon free for gaming.

Morning. I am not, in any way, ready for it to be Monday again.

Went to bed with a headache, woke up at 2am with a headache, took drugs, woke up with an echo of the headache, took more drugs.
And I ache Bloody stupid gardening weekend.

Will have to go shopping today - we have no milk left at all.

Afternoon. The nice weather has gone. The days do seem to come around very quickly. It always seems to be the day that it is iyswim.

We had a driveway visit from DD this morning as she was passing. I speak to her most days on the phone or on WhatsApp, but it was nice to actually see her.

DS2 was super efficient with his schoolwork today so that was good. He was a ratbag before bed though which was less good.

DH and I had a 'crap dreams' competition while I was making breakfast. He folded when I produced 'Don't get on a plane in a tornado' (Though it wasn't very ' ' at the time.)

On another course today. Content is pretty dull (new software related) but functionality of software seems good so hoping I actually remember all the little hints & tips

Afternoon. It's definitely nesting time, the magpies and pigeons are fighting each other for twigs on the lawn.

How's the new house purchase going WW? Is the weather good enough to do the renovations yet?

Fancy has a very admirable attitude to new software [HBFs] Wenches working would be an excellent idea, except I suspect we'd get nothing done (apart from perving )
