Afternoon. Today's excitement - taking the bin down to the bottom of the drive.

Ooooh, did you bring the bin in as well Apricot? Ours got emptied today, which was very exciting since the previous pick-up got missed due to snow.

Today was as awful as I suspected. I haven't even read all the emails in my inbox and was stuck in spreadsheet hell all afternoon (trying to reconcile two spreadsheets which both turned out to have an error in them, hence the lack of matching results). FML and all that.

School have been in touch to say that they'll be in touch So I am none the wiser, other than they're asking for volunteers to help test the DCs for Covid.

No HBFs are available for massages Fancy. tbh, I'd settle for hot sex, but they're not available for that either. What is the world coming to? Oh well, at least we've on the home run for the weekend. Wicked - try pretending it's Monday - then you'll be so surprised when it's Friday sooner than expected!

Spoke with DS1 today (DS2 had phoned him about football). Actually volunteered information that he’d done really well in an accountancy (his other course) assessment. And DS2 has had some lovely comments from a couple of teachers so I’m a very proud mum tonight.

I’m planning bed’n’book and DH is going to watch Bloodlands. It’s all go here

I was one of the useless spreadsheet people It's just that I was the one trying to reconcile the figures, and it was that way you come back to a really complicated spreadsheets and, to be honest, by the time you've figured out how you got it to work the first time, you might as well have redone it from scratch.

I am wenchily declaring you were not one of the useless spreadsheet people Helen. You were given duff information. I have decided. You shall have Athos in the hayloft for an entirely different sort of spreadsheet entry

Oh, I like your version of 'spreadsheet entries' LetUs (It was still my error on my spreadsheet - and someone elses' error on theirs. We had a nice mutually supportive Teams call though where she agreed with my assessment and made supportive noises about me re-doing my spreadsheet. And I ate quite a lot of chocolate.)

We have cloud cover today. There was a bit of sun earlier, but it's gone.

My enthusiasm levels are... imperceptible not high (except where HBFs are concerned. Wenches are always very enthusiastic if HBFs are involved). Stupid Cat is asleep. I wish I was Stupid Cat. (Apart from the food and having to go outside for the toilet - I prefer human options for those. But otherwise - I think I'd like to be Stupid Cat.)

Hope that MrA hasn't caused any localised powercuts . Actually, I hope that he's finished and that apricot has her kitchen back. Perhaps you could lock him out in the garden to practise his putting for a few hours peace and quiet?

Afternoon. Lovel day here. I had a wander round the garden. Catkins are on the silver birch, buds on the lilac and the start of leaves on the hydrangeas, so Spring is on its way.

Yes I did bring the bin back in Helen, two excitements in one day, it's all too much.

No powercuts but the kitchen is still upside down. We've tried three dimmers none of which worked and various layers of paper inside the lights which only made them look orange. He's now putting plastic cut out from ice-cream tubs in them to calm them down. He's nothing if not resourceful.

Not the most amazing day today. Nameless anxiety a-go-go so that’s fun.

To be honest, I can’t even use spreadsheets so anyone who can use them, even with the rare error, is a bit of a marvel in my eyes.

He had to choose an extra subject Fancy and went for that as a combination of “it might be useful”, “I’ve got to choose something” and it was top of list alphabetically

Bin excitement - DS2 decided to be helpful and brought the bins in. Unfortunately he hadn’t realised one of them hadn’t been emptied and only noticed this later when he saw the binmen passing by which time it was too late. Also he didn’t notice that the bin was still quite heavy. Truly he is his mother’s son

Not terribly spring like here. There’s frost and it looks like I’ll have to scrape my car. As long as the weather’s okay at the weekend though, that’s okay.

Morning. Clear and frosty here too. I'd also have to scrape the car if we were allowed to go to the office. You'll be brilliant LetUs - a whirl of efficiency and sorting-out-ness. The HBFs all agree.

Wildlife report this morning is lots of birds between me and the sun, which means I can't tell what they are - unless silhouetted-black-blob-bird is a thing? I was being trolled by a robin and a blue-tit this morning when I took them out some food - both flying up close to land on the washing line to glare at me in a 'hurry up with the food' way. Then they didn't go near the table once I left it Stupid birds.

We're watching a thing about viking ships now, except DS has come down to blether and now it's on live pause and he's watching youtube with DH. FFs....
