Good afternoon, Clunkers!

Welcome to the Breakfast Club where the kettle is permanently on, the drinks flow and the snacks are both self-replenishing and calorie-free.

We start each day with a look at history and a tribute to a brave or inspiring woman. Mostly though, we just chat randomly about current affairs, recipes, life in lockdown, literature, music and anything else that comes into our heads.

Veteran Clunkers welcome. Anyone else who wants to join in the chat - sense of humour essential! - welcome.

FrequentCarpetFlyer, all welcome in the BC - if you have a sense of humour and are happy to chat amicably, you'll fit right in here. We don't all have the same views on life, politics, current affairs, the pandemic, history, or even which singer has the nicest hair, but we just agree to disagree.

Think of it as a sort of coffee shop where you know the faces of all the regulars and drop into some chats but give others a swerve. A bit like that.

Anyway, I have my cheese and onion in the oven as DH loves it. Plus stripped a chicken back to working in an inch of its carcass and made a delicious korma.

I think it might, attract an attack that is. There are plenty of people who hate it and think everyone there is racist. Objecting to being called a racist doesn't make you a racist!

DH is on Line of Duty with his feet up. I may have to retire to the boudoir to concentrate on the CAL.
