Good afternoon, Clunkers!

Welcome to the Breakfast Club where the kettle is permanently on, the drinks flow and the snacks are both self-replenishing and calorie-free.

We start each day with a look at history and a tribute to a brave or inspiring woman. Mostly though, we just chat randomly about current affairs, recipes, life in lockdown, literature, music and anything else that comes into our heads.

Veteran Clunkers welcome. Anyone else who wants to join in the chat - sense of humour essential! - welcome.

Great to see you, OV! Plenty of comfy chairs available. I'm hoping some of the others will be here soon.

Meanwhile, just to help us all settle in quickly, here is the coffee machine. The butlers will be along shortly to take your order.

Hello all, I almost fell off my chair at the news. So glad to find you all, hope we don't lose anyone due to the move. Thank you Lily for opening up the doors and to Tracy for getting the coffee on.

Well, may we live in interesting times.....

The previous premises were great. Sad.

I was mid-post too. Finished typed, pressed post, then got the closed message.

I'm very pleased to recognise this thread title and Lily because although we're all strangers on t'internet, I really feel like I'd made some friends.

(And I was looking forward to showing off my crochet and seeing how Soapy got on with starting her CAL today)

(And I just posted this in the wrong thread a moment ago, because I find this forum much less intuitive!)

The owner of the previous premises said she had funded it herself, but that it wasn't growing? I would have paid monthly subs there.

I got amazing support on one very particular topic I was struggling at the time with in RL but wouldn't have felt comfortable posting on as large a forum as here. I know things are never totally anonymous.
