Good afternoon, Clunkers!

Welcome to the Breakfast Club where the kettle is permanently on, the drinks flow and the snacks are both self-replenishing and calorie-free.

We start each day with a look at history and a tribute to a brave or inspiring woman. Mostly though, we just chat randomly about current affairs, recipes, life in lockdown, literature, music and anything else that comes into our heads.

Veteran Clunkers welcome. Anyone else who wants to join in the chat - sense of humour essential! - welcome.

Chairman Miaow is upstairs in the dressing room, racked out. He was yowling at lunchtime so ds fed him more catfud. I am about to strip his chicken leg down for him, and roast another couple in the combi microwave. he doesn't like the window in my room being open, as he can feel a chill, so is currently on a sheepskin covered with one of my old zip up hoodies, with a fleecy inside, on which he is reclining.

Hello clunkers - I mainly lurked on t’other site as I had never anything exciting to say and my life is extremely boring. Hope I can hang around here if that’s OK - some of us are in OTBT penguin thread.

Look for the site on the red place using the name of the one that has gone. Then you need to message the moderator to ask for an invite. (That looks a bit like a treasure hunt)

Some of the others over in the red place are thinking of setting up a similar site. I said I would chip in too. Will have to go now (MrL getting fed up) but you know me, I keep early hours. Will be back in touch very soon....xx
