Would this be a stupid thing to do ????

O.k i am thinking of getting a penpal or rather an email pal i guess. Was thinking of perhaps someone in the armed forces or something along those lines.

So is it a bad idea ??

IMO, avoid the armed forces (I married a squaddie and come from a military family so therefore don't trust any squaddie who wants a "pen-pal")
Apart from that I'd say go for it.

I wouldn't personally go for someone like a Death Row prisoner or something potentially dodgy like that but otherwise it should be a brill idea!!!

It might be quite interesting to strike up a friendship with someone in another country, learning about cultures, etc.

Yes thats why it would be a secret. But then if i didn't do anything that dp minded i'd be sat in all day starring at 4 walls.

Well i think there are some who you can email with instead.
Wouldn't be able to do letters cos of dp.
