Lockdown rolls on, so we're staying in and isolating with the FAF. Grin
The bar is stocked, the floor has been mopped, the tables have been wiped, and the HBFs are however you want them Grin

(We're also doing lots of washing and gardening.)

The baby robins have fledged and flown away; the parents are busy raising another brood. That is what happened, and no other theories will be entertained. (Unless they come back to visit Apricot )

I've also been the garden a lot - according to my back Confused I know I did some digging, and we had a bonfire, and I didn't think I'd done that much, but my back definitely feels in need of some attention. I actually want a bath, but Four Weddings is about to start...

I’ve seen the first Scream film, don’t think I’ve seen the others. I was supposed to be heading to London at the end of this month Wicked, but it would have been with my younger sister and not on my own. I do like planning where to go if I’m going to be on my own.

Doctor Athos is more than willing to wait until you’re ready for him Helen.

Watching a documentary about Peter Sellars. Very interesting.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/05/2020 22:02

Also got distracted (DS wants to watch Four Weddings too, but went to bed), but we're watching Foo Fighters now... I've just been using Athos the back massage machine, and now I'm going to have a bath.

(Also haven't see any Scream films and I don't do horror films, so have no plans to.)

Night all.

Yikes about all the plumbing apricot, still at least he's not on the roof Grin

Sounds like a plan ww

Walk was lovely, although my legs are tired - bit like Helen I've done some gardening - moved some plants to a new bed, would love the garden centres to open so I can buy some new plants.

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2020 10:36

Morning wenches.Grin at least he’s not on the roof

Cloudy, windy and temperature has plummeted today.

Not much planned. I suppose I should do something like tidying up or clearing stuff out but urgh.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/05/2020 10:38

Morning. Well, there went the nice weather :( Malc says it's snowing in her neck of the woods Shock No that bad here, but the sun has gone and the wind is picking up.

It has been announced that today we are tidying the lounge (and I'm making a cake at some point). Think of me kindly...

FancyFancy · 10/05/2020 15:39

Good luck Helen!
Bloody hell it's windy here - have been gardening and got decidedly chilly. Much cosier now - sat inside with a cup of tea and FancyCat on my lap.

ApricotCrush · 10/05/2020 17:05

Afternoon. Well, that's a bit of a shock, I'm not surprised at snow, it's freezing.

Bathroom nearly done, I'll be able to clean the tiles and get it all back together tomorrow hopefully.

Don't any of your garden centres do deliveries Fancy? One near us is doing a roaring trade. I think they'll all be open soon though.

I haven't seen Scream either.

FancyFancy · 10/05/2020 17:53

Another one who hasn't seen Scream - or pretty much any horror film. I prefer froth and faf Grin

My favourite garden centre was doing deliveries, but has suspended them as apparently they're prepping for opening soon! I think I'll hold off for a bit to see if they do as I do like them there & want to support a local business.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/05/2020 18:50

I like horror movies that are more psychological, not the ones with blood and gore. One of my favourites is Blair Witch Project. Really creepy. The Ring is one of the scariest. I remember cycling through the forest at night after seeing it and the bicycle lamps started to malfunction. I never cycled so fast in my life.

LetUsPrey · 10/05/2020 19:40

Athos is thinking of you Helen - not sure if kindly features Grin

I can already your sigh of contentment when you step back and admire your put back together bathroom Apricot.

We have a garden centre near us that’s quite famous in this part of the country. I’m expecting massive queues on the roads near it when it reopens.

Grin at your speedy cycling Wicked. I remember watching Silence of the Lambs and then going out for something to eat after. I walked over a little bridge where there were no street lights, heard a noise and jumped about a mile. Mark Kermode did the subject of horror in his Secrets of Cinema programme - lots of the psychological stuff. That was quite enough for me.

I’ve watched Miss Scarlet and The Duke. I recommend, particularly for the chap playing The Duke - HBF.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/05/2020 21:26

etc. at Athos thinking of me.

Have done tidying and cake baking and lasagne making. The house seems a bit tidier, but I have a feeling that we've just moved lots of things around Confused.

Hurrah for nearly-finished-bathroom Apricot - but pfft to cleaning it. Can't MrA do that bit? He made the mess to start with...?

I don't think we have any local garden centres open yet.

We've been watching a French and Saunders special tonight, and then What We Do In The Shadows which is hilarious Grin Four Weddings didn't record last night, so we'll try again on Thursday.

It's Monday tomorrow. I don't want a Monday. Can we have another Sunday? DH has taken the day off, bet I'll still have to supervise DS and school stuff.

FancyFancy · 10/05/2020 22:54

I bet you're right about the queues letus
Have done a few chores & a bit more in the garden - very exciting. Hoping it's a bit warmer tomorrow as I'm planning on another walk with FancyMan.

Have found the last few episodes of Foyle's War so am watching one of those tonight.

LetUsPrey · 11/05/2020 08:24

Morning wenches.

Mmmmm cake. I suspect you’re right about who’ll be working and supervising MiniHelen and doing school stuff. I’ve got DS2 at work with me today and will be organising and supervising/assisting with schoolwork.

Enjoy the walk Fancy.

Quite sunny but chilly I suspect. Best get a shift on.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/05/2020 08:31

Morning all. FMHeadache - went to bed with it; woke up with it Sad Should have taken something last night but couldn't be bothered. Am an idiot.

It's sort of sunny with huge clouds today - already been rained on a bit when I fed the chickens, but now it's dry and sunny again.

I need to go and log in for work.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 11/05/2020 12:35

The Foyle's War plan didn't work as I'd have to pay - & it wasn't my Prime account! Watched Suits instead - Harvey really shouldn't appeal, but he does. Love Donna too, but nlt.
Still very windy out there.

ApricotCrush · 11/05/2020 17:39

Afternoon. It's bloody cold out there.

Re the bathroom, DH has his way of doing things and I have mine mine's the best so I prefer to do the final cleaning up.

Robin update: DH was cutting the conifer hedge at the end of the garden up a ladder Shock and one of them has been hopping around him. I think Helen was right, the fledglings have gone and the female is getting ready for another brood. I didn't realise they started again so soon.

Grin at WW's bicycle lamp in the forest.

Hope Helen's headache has gone, MiniLetUs's homework went well and Fancy enjoyed her walk.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/05/2020 19:28

though I have been working in between posts Grin

That's annoying Fancy - the Amazon Prime thing. Hope the walk was nice though - despite the wind.

Shock [horror] at MrA up a ladder in this wind. Glad to hear that the robin came to say hello though. How's the bathroom? Tidied to your satisfaction?

As expected, I did the baking-with-DS thing today for 'food technology' (aka home economic aka cookery) Also, my cake yesterday required whipped cream and some was left over Athos was very pleased about that so in the interests of economy and using up leftovers, I'm having a very creamy hot chocolate to help warm up after doing some garden stuff with DH. Grin And the headache has gone. Phew.

Hope work was bearable LetUs?

Oh - horror films. I've never seen The Shining, but and when we were on holiday this year, the hotel corridors put me in mind of the clips I've seen...

Evening wenches.

Ah thought Foyle’s War was available to download from ITV Hub wotsit. I shan’t be paying either. Suits is yet another thing I haven’t seen although quite a few people have recommended it over the years.

Hurrah for robin return! And for tidy put back together bathroom!

Pleased the headache went Helen. How very economically minded of you re the cream.

Work was again surprisingly busy —and there was a massive fuck up by someone which was very stressful to sort out—. DS2 did very well with his schoolwork thankfully and he’s already had some lovely feedback from one of his teachers today. That really helps him and gives a lot of encouragement.

FancyFancy · 11/05/2020 21:59

Yay for DS2 and the robins.
Walk was very nice - in the sheltered bits, bit breezy at other times. All this walking really tired my legs out so have done very little since - am currently being a cat sofa for Fancy Cat who is purring ferociously.

Seems like our local Freecycle is up and running again, so may dig out those things I was planning to offer - which got tidied away when the site closed down.

LetUsPrey · 11/05/2020 23:00

Awww at “purring ferociously”

I have been yawning for about an hour, as I was last night. However, despite yawning and feeling tired, couldn’t get to sleep. I’m hoping tonight will be different. Oh look, it appears Brandon wants to tell me something - perhaps a way to make sure I’m properly tired.

LetUsPrey · 12/05/2020 08:04

Morning wenches. Had my recurring dream last night where my car gets stolen, usually from outside mine or my mum’s house. I miss the theft by a minute or two and then can’t find my voice to shout for help. Super.

Cloudy and cool again here but it’ll dry the washing.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/05/2020 08:44

If the pavements are dry, then the washing will dry LetUs I bet that Brandon had some really good ideas for getting you tired enough to sleep Grin Lots of them. Here he is, suggesting a nice cup of tea in bed. And probably other stuff as well. Like a nice comfy pillow. That was a crappy dream though - I hate those sort Sad.

It's nice and sunny here, and I'm hoping to get out in the garden later since my freelance work does seem to be drying up now Confused Though there's also the schoolwork to supervise, since we had a sniffy letter about how school were please that DS was making an effort, but that he'd done less than 60% of his work. Hmm I think they'll find that it's (mostly) done, but they haven't been very clear on how to submit it. Still, we'll have to go through that today (oh joy) and deal with the resulting strops from DS who will want to be on his xbox, not looking at school stuff. Glad that miniLetUs is doing well with it all - we haven't had any feedback about DS' work apart from generic letters (one of his friends got a 'less than 60% letter' too, and is similarly baffled about what she has missed).

Glad to hear that you're fulfilling your duties as a catbed Fancy - I can believe that the government didn't put that job on the keyworker list Grin Mine have turned me down this morning, choosing to sunbath instead.

Suppose I'd better get on and wash up breakfast stuff...
