I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

I will keep thinking on the christmas name but I don't think I'll come up with anything near as good as everyone elses.

Fred - got your christmas card today, what lovely names your dd's have.

doubleEGGnog · 24/12/2007 09:07

Hi girls. Probably also my last message for a few days as the family arrive later. Hope you all have a really lovely time and your DCs all behave fabulously and appreciate all those presents!

Thought I was in labour briefly last night. Had felt really off during early evening and when I went to bed my stomach was going hard quite regularly. Woke up at 3am with a contraction and had a few more here and there, but very irregular and they died down thankfully (was excited about Christmas Eve babies, but worrying about who would collect the turkey as butcher only there til 11am...).

All ok now, nothing happening. False alarm!

Pheweee.

marmitemad · 24/12/2007 09:40

morning all,

Had a brilliant time at the Christmas party on Sat night, we were right at the front so the comedian named us the big boobed table . danced and dranks loads but no hangover fortunately.

lazy morning yesterday and then we tried to visit friends in Stevenage but we abandoned this as the fog was really thick and the M25 stationary. popped round inlaws instead with some flowers as they had to have their cat put to sleep yesterday (she had liver failure).

Egg - ooooh how exciting and a little scary, hope those babies stay inside a bit longer. Good luck with the scan on the 27th and hope the inlaws behave themselves .

Merry Christmas zappatas, I am suddenly feeling really, really excited some large boxes have suddenly appeared under our tree. Off to make mince pies and chocolate truffles now.

Hello girls. All is now calm in the Egg house, everyone left yesterday afternoon. It all went really well and everyone seemed to have a great time. DS is very very keen on his new car.

Hope you all had fab ones as well, I am now ready to have babies! Well, I guess I will wait til after the inlaws this weekend, as otherwise they will prob all be here when I get home from hospital and we DO NOT want that!

doubleEGGnog · 27/12/2007 20:03

Hello just to let you know I have a new Christmas Day bump pic on my profile, it's not a close up tho so hope you can see it ok! Also a new one of my lovely boy .

doubleEGGnog · 30/12/2007 11:56

OK so I understand you are all busy with family stuff at CHRISTMAS but where the blardy hell is everyone?

Outlaws arriving after lunch so I wont be online again until Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning.

Have another routine scan tomorrow morning, DH can actually come with me and MIL can look after DS. Will report back when I am online again, unless anything earth shattering to report, in which case I will text.

DS has been sick yesterday and Friday. Thank god I got the steam cleaner thing for the carpet. No puke today yet, and he seems a lot happier today and has been bouncing around.

Off to hoover before MIL arrives, DH has taken DS out shopping.

Happy New Year .

marmitemad · 30/12/2007 21:27

Helloooooooooooo Zappatas,
Have been extremely busy but missed all the chat. Tonight is the first time I've been able to properly catch up on the pc as dh is at pub with friends.

dd was really clingy and whingy on Christmas eve and we had a dreadful night only to find the tip of a top front tooth peeping out at us on Christmas day morning, unfortunately she has still been pretty miserable at times but seems to have been able to enjoy herself generally.

She's not quite ready for the wooden trolley but loves the rocking horse and the hideous noisy plastic ride on lion some friends got her (new pics on my profile).

dh excelled himself present wise with several items I had requested and a few surprises including a pretty outfit from ann summers .

Egg - you look fab in your photo, good luck for the scan tomorrow and hope the outlaws behave themselves .

Happy new year everyone .

Hi all!

Christmas has come and gone in a blur of visitors, wrapping paper and food!!

Egg you look great! Good Luck!!

marmitemad · 01/01/2008 18:35

Happy 2008 Zappatas

Did everyone have a good one?

we had a party with lots of family and friends at the the out laws house which was great as dd could go to bed and we stayed over although I felt pretty rubbish with another cold. dd woke up at 23:50 so we kept her up to see in the new year and sshe seemed most bemused with all the party poppers and singing and dancing, not scared at all.

Signing off now for today to go and watch 300 with dh and I have to go to work tomorrow (but only for one day!). Its funny how much I looked forward to going back but haveing had 2 weeks off I don't want to leave dd now. am feeling extremely broody though...............

Hello Zappatas, glad Christmas is over and the blooming outlaws left yesterday. I cannot begin to tell you how much MIL annoyed me, but the worst thing was that she got DS a ride on car...

Now I told EVERYONE, and I do mean EVERYONE that I had bought him one. I got it a couple of months before Christmas FFS (can't quite remember when, but sure it was at least 6 weeks before). I told my family and DH's family and even sent a pic of it. I was so excited about getting it for him as I knew how much he loved the nursery one. He went mad on Christmas day and has been very keen on it. Then they arrive and lo and behold she has bought him a car too. It is different, and it is nice, and if I hadn't got him one I would be really pleased, but he doesn't NEED two cars, we have no space, I feel it has made him a bit spoilt getting two for Christmas, and the worst thing is, I think he prefers her one .

She says "ooh, if I knew he was getting one I would have got something else".

BITCH.

Actually Squonk, I know you asked me if she was stupid enough not to realise / remember, and i thought she wasn't THAT stupid, but the following day she put half a slice of bread in the toaster, it got stuck (of course) and she then asked me to pass her a metal knife to get it out (it was still plugged in and still turned on). She also put teabags and eggshells into the OBVIOUSLY recycling bin, and she knows we have two bins.

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Dropdeadfred · 02/01/2008 15:58

Oh No Egg!!! Couldn't she have taken it back??

Perhaps you could ebay it and spend the money on something else for DS?

Glad you survived though and that you didn't go into spontaneous labour through indignant fury!!!

Phono ! Lovely to see you back. Hope all is well and nothing bad kept you away.

You must be a miracle worker with the one-handed Zapp manouvre! No need for me as mine will be pretty much in retirement soon but am sure the other girls would love a step by step instruction list! Actually, I would be very interested to read it!

Off to bath my handsome DS now.

marmitemad · 02/01/2008 18:40

Egg, Glad the outlaws have gone and sorry to hear about MIL, I second Fred's Ebay suggestion. How was the scan on Monday?

Had the night from hell with dd, she cried until 3am despite having Medised, Nurofen and Calpol and me cuddling her in the chair, was truly awful getting up at 7am and having to go to work.

All the Christmas names have gone

OP posts:
Egg · 02/01/2008 19:03

Shite marmite your nights sounds terrible. Poor DD but poor you esp as you had to go to work. DS has the odd horrendous night but is usually then great the following night so fingers crossed for lots of sleep for you all tonight.

Sorry forgot I had not reported back on scan! It was fine, the measurements were very approximate as neither of them were in a good measuring position but Dory is estimated at 4lbs and Fat Nemo at 5lbs 8! Am aiming to get them out on Sat 12 Jan, I have decided once and for all. I will have to have lots of curry and pineapple (not sex tho...).

Can't ebay the car. She will be back when Nemo and Dory are born and see it is gone, which I could just about handle, but it would upset DH. I suppose at least N&D will have a car each to play with when they are bigger, although to be honest I imagine DS will not want to share either of them...

Dropdeadfred · 02/01/2008 22:08

Awww Egg....sat 12th eh? I recommend sex to start things off though

Egg · 03/01/2008 10:02

Fred - did it work for you (the sex thing)????

I honestly don't think I could . It's been so long I have forgotten how. And am embarrassed about what the prolapse looks like, and might feel like! Not sure DH would even want to!

Seeing consultant this afternoon. My mum is coming down for the night so she can collect DS from nursery as I prob wont be back in time. He is back today for first day and doing FULL DAYS on Mondays and Thursday. He ran in shouting "Hellloooooo" "Hellloooooo" to everyone, and said a big "Bye Bye" to me when I left with no wibbles or tears. Pheweee. I think he missed it.

I was very excited as yesterday, for the first time, he said THREE two-word sentences! Ok I know some "gifted and neglected" children can do this months and months earlier, but he said "that way" "no shop" and "mummy bath", which is very impressive for him [proud mummy emoticon].

Right, need to tidy and hoover before my mum arrives, even though she doesn't care, it makes me feel better. Then going to get some more baby clothes washed and ready .

Egg · 03/01/2008 10:03

Where is Squonk?

I am presuming that as DP is off school she is not venturing onto MN much...

Dropdeadfred · 03/01/2008 10:50

Hi Egg, yes it did work for me
But I didn't have the prolapse situation so I can understand your reluctance...

I hope the consultant will be able to give you some reassurance today.

Hmmm I bet Squonk's DP has been hogging the laptop..

Egg · 03/01/2008 11:01

Men can be so annoying sometimes.

My DH informed me yesterday that as he has just been hit with an £18k tax bill that needs to be paid on 31 Jan (he was expecting it, but not that big), that he can only take ONE WEEK OFF when Nemo and Dory are born. He only took one week with DS, but still... But the fact is, if he takes two weeks, he doesn't get paid a penny and we NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEED the money.

Grrrr.

Dropdeadfred · 03/01/2008 12:26

Ooooooooooooooh Egg!!!!!!!!

Why can he not take longer? is he self employed?

DP pays his tax bill uarterly to save big shocks like that!

How far away are you from me? I will come and see you (if welcome) after the twins arrive.
