I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

YOu're more than welcome Marmite..you actually made me feel better too because it made me realise how much easier my life is compoared to those dark days!! ( although i did and do love being with dd3 all day it was HARD, BORING, FRUSTRATING etc )nowadays she'smuch more independent and i get to come on here!!

How many pages did you get read?

marmitemad · 13/09/2007 20:35

Hi Fred,

I read quite a lot actually then we turned lights off and was just drifting off when dh decided it was "play time", I decided to be lazy but actually ended up enjoying myself and then had to read some more to wind down again .

Had a busy day today, went off to swimming early to watch the classes and then realised I didn't have my costume so we had to watch but then went to a pottery place to paint a mug as a present for our friends. dd was entranced the whole time and seemed intent on tasting the paint on her feet. I was quite nervous as am not artistic but really enjoyed myself and will go back at Christmas to do some tree baubles.

I also picked up an book about PND at the library which looked like it has some helpful tips on coping better.

How are the wedding plans going? and how old is your dd3?

Egg · 14/09/2007 13:39

Girls girls girls!!! I am back online! Have missed you lot VERY MUCH. Quite glad the old thread went as it meant I haven't had too much to read to catch up on.

Marmite, I too had the exact same thing with DS a few months back. I felt like i was shouting at him all the time. He seemed to be so naughty and I even slapped his leg a couple of times when changing his nappy when he was screaming and trying to get away from me. I think he was a bit older than your DD is now, in fact I remember it was when I was first pregnant so he was about 14 months or more, but I felt like I completely lost control a few times and was so overwhelmed and kept crying.

Also, we went on hols when DS was 7-8 months old and the build up of stress before the hols was enormous for me (not for DH though!). I was so worried he wouldn't sleep / wouldn't eat / would scream on the plane (6 hour flight to Egypt) and it turned out to be fabulous.

Sorry. Rambling as so excited to be back.

All is well here, am feeling Nemo and Dory moving around a bit, Dory moves a lot more though which is worrying. Only 6 days til scan, really hope we can see a willy!

Squonk, I have not read the Dr T thing, but did see what was written below, I had no idea about the DDs, they seemed to get on so well when we met up that day, and DD1 seemed so caring, but I imagine it is very different behind closed doors. Really hope things are sorting themselves out.

Fred, onto some GOOD NEWS, how are the wedding plans? Bet you are getting excited!

fryalot · 14/09/2007 18:28

EGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(the girls are back in town!)

Egg · 14/09/2007 18:45

I AM BACK I AM BACK I AM BACK

Dropdeadfred · 14/09/2007 20:49

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{EGG}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

So happy to see you!!

Yes the wedding plans seem to be taking alot of mental energy without much physical exertion so far..meaning I think alot about it and haven't done too much so far...

It just seems such a lot to do and think about and plan, and I'm normally the kind of girl that thnks Christmas is years away until December the 1st then freaks!

Marmite, you're soooo not alone with your feelings, please feel free to share here with us whenever you're feeling down ( or happy!!) Careful with DH and playtime though..unless you want another..?

Squonk - miss you too - lets hope we all chat more now our gang is complete again.

Egg · 15/09/2007 18:32

Aha, I was the type of girl who, as soon as I was engaged, wanted to get *everything" done asap, so I could sit back and be smug... We got engaged in Aug 2000 and married in Aug 2001 so had a similar amount of planning time to you.

Marmite, how are you feeling now? Better I hope. Just realised you are reading The Memory Keepers Daughter. I read it in July, I picked it up without reading what it was about, had just heard good reviews (for those who haven't read it, it starts with twins being born but one has Downs Syndrome). I then spent the next few weeks convinced one of mine would have Downs too . It is a great book though.

marmitemad · 16/09/2007 09:41

Lovely to have to you back. Glad you found our new location. Hope you are all settled in well at the new house.

Went to hospital on Friday where dd charmed everyone and only got grumpy after a while when in with the dr as we were ignoring her.
I need to have full body x-rays and ultrasounds so they can assess the bone/joint conditions after pg and I have agreed to go back on Methotrexate at a very low dose in conjunction with another drug. we have not tried to two together before so hoping this works out. Definately no more los here for a while as M. is so toxic I have have blood tests every 2 weeks and be off it a year before attempting to conceive.

Went to see Mary Poppins in London yesterday with my sister which was brilliant, felt very strange to be out without dd.

Looking forward to seeing pics of Nemo and Dory when I get back, what day is your scan?

Feeling better now thanks, it really helped to write it all down the other night as would never have shared so much with RL friends, reading my words again I feel like that was a different person to now.

OP posts:
Egg · 16/09/2007 20:40

Marmite sounds like good news if the new combo of drugs makes you feel better and in less pain. Must be very hard. Glad you are feeling more positive, MN is fab for just getting things out of your system.

My scan is 11:30am on Thursday, 20 Sept. Am soooooooooooooooooooooo excited but also nervous. Just hope everything is ok. Not sure I will be able to post a scan pic on here, but will see what I can do (have finally managed to put a couple of pics on my profile, must get one of my fat belly!). I am desperate to know if Nemo and Dory are boys / girls or one of each, then I can go out and buy things! Woohooo.

Egg · 17/09/2007 14:53

Hey Zappatas. Where are you all? Have been checking back all day but NOBODY has posted. Now DS is awake so I have to go...

marmitemad · 17/09/2007 21:22

Egg,
Have been on a trek today to visit a friend in Stevenage as she is due to give birth while we are on holiday.

Went to see Atonement yesterday - very sad and bleak and not quite what I was expecting really. Hav efinished Memory keepers daughter and while it was sad the ending was good and I thought it was very well written.

Lovely to see pics of Ben and the zapp again, I think you will need to scan the scan pics to be able to put on here so I guess that might be difficult.

Is your scan in London or in Winchester? will be thinking of you lots on Thursday morning (might have to log on somewhere in Menorca to get an update ).

Off to think about starting the packing now....

Are you all settled in the house now and enjoying the extra space?

OP posts:
Dropdeadfred · 17/09/2007 21:26

Sorry, nipped up to Croydon today 9took zapp of course) and met 4 nice ladies from the Croydon area...

then dashed back for the dentist with all 3 dd's then raced home to dash back out to an open evening for dd1...[yawn]

How are you all?

fryalot · 18/09/2007 11:54

hello

Mother been visiting, so not been around much, but today SHE HAS GONE!!!

Have I missed much?

Egg · 18/09/2007 12:19

STOP PRESS!!!

I now have my scan tomorrow. Finally got scan date through for Winchester (in the nick of time...). So 2pm tomorrow and a few hours less of worrying about it!

Squonk, glad you have got rid of mother, lovely as they are, they can be a bit wearing!

DS was up for over 3 hours last night, and also cried another 5 or 6 times, he has had a bit of a runny nose but this morning he seems to have conjunctivitis and a cough as well and is quite miserable. Got to pick up a prescription for eye drops later. Poor little monkey. No idea how long he will sleep now so got to get chores done asap. Looks like swimming is off this pm .

Marmite and Fred sounds like you had busy days yesterday. Marmite what time do you go on hols? Shall I text you after the scan or will you be gone?

Right, better run...

Dropdeadfred · 18/09/2007 12:23

Egg - sorry to hear that your ds is poorly...hope the eyedrops make him feel better.

Chores? Chores?

Seriously you should be putting your feet up, especially after such broken sleep last night.

I have horridly been say on the laptop this morning looking for wedding dress inspiration and poor dd3 has been entertaining herself with her trians ( she is Thomas the tank engine mad and can already name over 20 of them by sight...unbelievable!)

Dropdeadfred · 18/09/2007 12:24

sorry mean't to add that I'm really excited about your scan Egg - can't wait to hear about Nemo and Dory!

fryalot · 18/09/2007 12:35

egg - will you be posting a pic of the double yolkers? go on, go on, go on.... you know you want to

We will expect texts and postings on mn by about um.... 3pm?

Egg · 18/09/2007 12:42

Will definitely be telling you all by MN and / or text how the scan went. I have all three of your numbers in my phone so can text if I am too excited to wait til I get back (plus cant prob get on PC immediately upon return as DH is "working from home" tomorrow to look after DS).

As marmite said, I would need to scan the pics of Nemo and Dory in, and don't have home scanner (one of the only good things about working in a office, you get to use all their top of the range stuff), but there is a copy / print place in town where I went to get internet access before i got back online and I might be able to do it there.

OK I have done a few minor chores (bit of tidying, made DH's sandwiches for tomorrow, emptied the dishwasher, unblocked the kitchen sink) so now am going to put my feet up and watch Loose Women.

Oh Fred, V V impressed with DD3 and the trains! She is only little still. Looks like you will have to start posting on gifted and talented .

Dropdeadfred · 18/09/2007 13:11

Is DH going with you to the scan Egg?

Thanks for comments aabout DD3 but i don't think there's a topic called gifted and neglected..
Shje speaks so well now i forget how little she is..my parents were down at the weekend and they were suprised when at the park she said to her daddy ' please can you take that a minute daddy (referring to icecream) it's a bit melty and i'm getting all messy!'

then she went through my changing bag to get a wipe!

text us text us text us....

Egg · 18/09/2007 13:23

Nope am going alone (am v happy with that, would rather DH is at home with sick DS to be honest, than dragging them both to hospital, esp as it is DS's nap time).

OK now didn't DD3 only turn 2 in the Spring? Very impressed. DS, who is admittedly a lot younger, can say a few words now, and can sing the tune to Twinkle Twinkle (without the real words...), which impressed me a lot! He sings it about 100 times a day.

LOL at Gifted and Neglected...

marmitemad · 18/09/2007 16:12

Plane is due to leave at (gulp) 06:25 which means we have to leave home around 03:30am .

Am really beginning to wonder why I thought it would be a good idea to book these flights now .

Egg - good news about the scan being tomorrow, I shall still expect an update text though [excited emoticon]. sorry to hear about poorly ds though, hope he feels better soon.

my turn to boast, dd can drink out of a cup/glass if we hold it for her and is standing up with support (see new pic on my profile).

Fred - I didn't realise dd3 was so little, would be lovely to meet you in RL sometime?
and we could help look at wedding dress pictures?

OP posts:
Egg · 18/09/2007 16:19

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH you will not be feeling happy at 3am tomorrow .

Only just looked at your profile, you have such LOVELY pics on there. DD really looks so grown up since I met her! Can't believe how fab you look when she was 2 weeks old either .

DS is quite happy at the mo, playing with the watering can and shouting. He hates me wiping his eyes though. Just went to collect his eye drops, last time he had conjunctivitis it was not fun trying to get drops in. I bought him a gingerbread man as a treat from the bakers and I think I am his fave person now!

Egg · 18/09/2007 16:20

Oh and as for wedding dress pics. I love love love looking at them. I spent a lot of money on those wedding mags, but did in fact buy a dress from the first shop we went to. It was (of course) lovely though. Will see if I can find a piccie to post.

Dropdeadfred · 18/09/2007 17:10

Hi Marmite - yes would love to meet up some time. Hopefully we can get Egg and Squonk involved too ( though it's a long long way for Squonk ).
I love looking at wedding dress pics but sadly know that the size 6 models look alot nicer than I could in most of them!

marmitemad · 18/09/2007 17:16

Fred - oh yes I did mean everyone else as well if they can make it (bit worried that Dropdeadfred thinks I want to stalk her)

really should be packing or cleaning atm but MN is much more enticing
