I've lost it from my watched threads and can't find it by searching either, am I just being stupid?

Sorry didn't see last message. No I got DS up about 3:20 I think.

He is saying "no, no, no" to Koala Brothers.

My DH is due home about 6pm, same time as both (yes both) his brothers are coming (for a couple of nights). Great.

SquonkaClaus · 21/12/2007 16:35

make them do stuff, egg.

MAKE THEM

Egg · 21/12/2007 16:44

They will be converting DS's old cotbed into a bed for my nephew to sleep in. They will be hoovering whole house including loft. They will be cleaning and scrubbing garden chairs and attaching cushions for Christmas day. They will be helping DH with local shopping tomorrow while I go to Tesco with car (need to get some stuff from M&S too).

BTW. Gingerbread is DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELICIOUS.

DS keeps shouting "more" "more". We have eaten two already and they were quite big. He is having sausages and mash in 25 mins...

Egg · 21/12/2007 16:47

ooops. DS had a bit of gingerbread left on his plate, so I bit a bit off. He is having a meltdown. At least he likes it. I thought he might turn his nose up.

I am going to make more tomorrow with our teeny cutters and I can offer them on Christmas Eve now I know they are edible.

Lady on multiples thread in LABOUR with twins RIGHT NOW (she already has triplets ).

SquonkaClaus · 21/12/2007 16:48

well done with gingerbread. It is something I have never managed to get right. Will you send me your recipe? (don't be )

And well done for getting the BILs to pull their fingers out. Can one of them go to tesco for you as well so you can have a huge lie in?

Egg · 21/12/2007 17:06

I have to do Tesco myself. Do not trust anyone else to get all the things i need...

Recipe is from Big Cook Little Cook, I will copy it down for you after we have done DS's supper. It is EASY, even for me!

Dropdeadfred · 21/12/2007 17:11

OOOooooh I'm getting hungry thinking of gingerbread,

Sorry about this girls but re: Meet at Freds DP said you can both stay in our bed...with him!!

Seriously hope he was joking and we are not going to use our toy fest as a lure for couples with kids, then play --throw in your car keys monopoly and Triv Pursuit with them tl the early hours!!

SquonkaClaus · 21/12/2007 18:18

I'll bring the trivial pursuit

Dropdeadfred · 21/12/2007 19:06

Great strip pursuit Trivial Pursuit...

SquonkaClaus · 21/12/2007 19:08

we can make it strip trivial pursuit if you like

Dropdeadfred · 21/12/2007 19:22

Don't worry Squonk..if it ever came to that I would be wearing my entire wardrobe plus dps on top and I would be cheating big time ( and just in case we would have to play by torch light).

Oh and I would take the batteries out the torch.

So I think we're safe

SquonkaClaus · 21/12/2007 20:05

(I'd have already nicked the torch bulb )

Dropdeadfred · 21/12/2007 20:07

Just burnt the triv checked the pieces are all there!!

SquonkaClaus · 21/12/2007 20:11

hee hee

Perhaps we'd better just all get mightily pissed instead

(obviously after Nemo and Dory have made an appearance - twill be MrEgg's turn to babysit!)

Acutally, all jesting apart, can we all get together for a night out? I can come down for a Saturday night.
What do you reckon?

Dropdeadfred · 21/12/2007 21:06

I would love that Squonk and DP has no probs at all with staying in with the girls.

God, it's so long since I've been pissed!!

marmitemad · 21/12/2007 21:21

ooohhhhhhhhh yes night out sounds brilliant.

re: the meet up, me and dd can sleep in her tent like travel cot as its huge, or we could just put all the los in there and we can play scrabble in the princess tent while drinking gin

am on here after vowing to go to bed early as have just realised that the oven has not had the temperature on for the last hour so dinner is not ready and dh is working in the lounge (while he is meant to be on holiday ).

Tesco's was fine, a little busier than normal but not stressful, it helped that we didn't buy much as I got loads of veg this morning at the farm shop where we got our tree and I only need to cook on Christmas eve next week , .

dh loves gingerbread but I have never been able to successfully produce an edible product (same with carrot cake). I am going to buy some tomorrow for our 16 year getting together anniversary which is on Sunday, as he always gets me something even though we agreed not to do anything once we got married.

everyone seems to be chatting when I'm not here. getting a bit paranoid that I'm the boring, rambling one round here, hum hum hum.....

OP posts:
marmitemad · 21/12/2007 21:24

PS . I'm hoping to get a new scrabble set for Christmas as mine is 60 years old (twas my nans so wouldn't get rid of it) although its easier to play online now.

do you reckon we can get to 999 messages by Christmas day??

OP posts:
marmitemad · 21/12/2007 21:31

have also decorated the tree tonight and put dds presents under it, house feels ready for christmas now.

marmitemad talks to herself, I might start singing soon.........

Dropdeadfred · 21/12/2007 21:35

Hi Marmite... I bought DP super scrabble for Christmas it has an extra large board, more letter tiles and QUADRUPLE score tiles!

marmitemad · 21/12/2007 21:42

hooray, I'm not talking to myself although am shortly off to eat dinner as the single peroni I've drunk has gone straight to my head.

chin hits floor at thought of quadruple scores, wish I'd known to put it on my list although dh would probably divorce me as my best score on facebook was against him with "mislived" for 95 points.

can fred and squonk send me their addresses please, you should have my email address??

Oh I missed all the chat last night. Had a late night for me, bed after 10pm! The boys stayed up really late, DH came to bed at 1:15am and his brothers stayed up til 2:30. Then DS woke at 6:15am after sleeping til 7:30ish all week.

A night out sounds like sooooooooo much fun. Goodness knows how we will plan it so we can all get home etc, obviously it would have to be a wee bit after the littlies are born before I can venture out, but Squonk once that happens you can stay in our loft room (it even has a DOUBLE BED!). Am sure DH will be delighted to babysit all three kids . Anyway, it is something to look forward to in the not too distant future.

Have been and done my Tesco final shopping, just the last minute things like veg that I couldn't order online or they would have been off by the time Christmas arrived. It wasn't too bad, although it was getting worse every minute I was there, so glad I went early. DH and his bro's are out with DS, they are actually only staying one night so they are off home shortly, it was all very painless and they really helped amuse DS this morning despite having had no sleep. Manual tasks not done, but DH will have to do them ALONE (hehehe).

Right, must make the most of having house to myself.

doubleEGGnog · 22/12/2007 13:26

I have a CHRISTMAS name!

RudolphtheDDFREDnosedreindeer · 22/12/2007 16:50

I have one too!!!

doubleEGGnog · 22/12/2007 16:55

Wow we are clever today (although mine was invented by one of my pals on the Feb thread). Now just marmite needs to get her new outfit...

DS is very tired. He wouldn't sleep at lunch for ages. Then we woke him at 4:30 when he had only had an hour and a half and wasn't ready, and he is sitting on sofa with Blankie feeling sorry for himself.

It is really nearly Christmas now .

RudolphtheDDFREDnosedreindeer · 22/12/2007 17:21

Any braxton hicks or any other twinges yet Egg?
