Morning wenches.

Went to bed before 9 last night. Feel a bit better for it so should be properly better for work tomorrow. Hurrah!

Pleased you’ve arrived safely and very pleased all seems okay with your flights. Chickens have been fed and are happily grooming themselves.

I am LetUsPrey destroyer of dreams and I think I can have it all. Grin

ApricotCrush · 16/02/2020 15:48

Afternoon. No poblems here, but I believe the village up the road was cut off this morning with floods.

I can't get into that Twitter link, probably because I'm not on Twitter. Confused

OMG Grantchester! Shock Shock The series has finished and I'm sad, so Will has definitely taken the place of Sidney.

Well done with the livestock wrangling LetUs.

Safe flying Helen, hope everything went well with the flight.

LetUsPrey · 16/02/2020 17:50

More wind and rain here but again nothing compared to what others have got.

It’s not you re the Twitter link Apricot - it comes up saying page doesn’t exist for me too. You’ve just reminded me to download Grantchester.

Have been out visiting parents and LovelyMIL this afternoon, and got back in about 30 seconds before it started hailing and being quite windy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 17/02/2020 04:24

Oh dear god, 3.5 hours into an 8 hour flight isn't the time to be getting a migraine, and yakking up half an hour before landing wasn't appreciated either, though it did help with feeling a bit better (as did the hour of sleep on the bus). Dr Athos is needed asap. But, more to the point, sleep!

Thank you for livestock wrangling, and FFS re. link not working. Sorry.

Morning wenches.

On no to migraine and being sick Sad. Doctor Athos will make you feel —each other— better Helen

Couple of happy things have happened this morning. DH’s alarm went over and the first thing I heard was the caller on the radio asking for “Mr Brightside” so that was an excellent start to the day Grin. And then I got a message from a friend who’d been worried about her cat to say that said cat was much better Smile. Fingers crossed it continues!

Evening. Sun, wind, rain, sleet here. Confused We had a beautiful rainbow over the garden this afternoon and I tried to take a panoramic pic of it but lost the top of it and when I tried again it had gone. Sad

Oh Helen, what a way to start your holiday. Hope you're feeling better now.

Yay for happy start to the morning LetUs.

LetUsPrey · 17/02/2020 19:46

Evening wenches.

Blimey Apricot, with that weather in one day, have you moved to Scotland? Grin Bummer at missing the photo of the rainbow. There’s something so lovely about a rainbow.

Work was aaaarrrrrggghhhhhh. I think that’s the best description for it.

Started that latest series of Grantchester. I do like Leonard.

FancyFancy · 17/02/2020 23:19

Evening.

Yikes helen, hope you've managed some sleep & are feeling better.

I hope the good things come in threes letus Grin

Am quite jealous of your rainbow apricot - have been stuck in an office with no windows today. Trains have been woeful, so spent about 3.5 hours commuting to the clients Haven't met them before & they were all lovely, which was very welcome - will be there another three days.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 18/02/2020 03:44

Morning all.

Am much recovered from the trip, though could have done without the jet lag - DS awake at 3:30am, and so we were too. Though I went back to sleep thank goodness. Have had very energetic day of spotting HBFs skiing and I'm now completely knackered. Fell over quite a lot skiing over big bumps, and I have 'done Wolverine' (there are some entertainingly named ski runs round here).

Weather report : sunny, cloudy, light snow and -10. No rainbows
Wildlife report: ravens
Food report - Elk and Wild Boar Meatballs

Hope that everyone's work goes better/has windows tomorrow...

Morning wenches.

Good things do indeed come in threes Fancy

A 3.5 hour commute?! That is really quite shit. Hurrah for clients being lovely though.

Pleased you’ve arrived safely Helen and you’ve had a fun first day of —spotting HBFs— skiing. at Wolverine

I’d better get a move on.

Ah - Santi and cigars Grin (Comtess would be v. cross with him). Am up and organised early this morning so DH isn't allowed to be at me. Grin Currenlty waiting for breakfast to start...

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 18/02/2020 17:55

Evening. We've had DGS all day, so haven't got much done.

That sounds a horrendous commute Fancy, just as well that the clients are lovely.

I like Leonard too LetUs, he's so sweet.

Hope Helen's having a lovely day and spotting many HBFs. Grin

LetUsPrey · 18/02/2020 19:12

Evening wenches.

Ah breakfast, one of the best parts of a holiday. Here’s to much successful —HBF spotting— skiing.

Have done ep2 of Grantchester - the one with the two older brothers in it and the hit and run. The brothers were so touching.

I really should be doing some homework with DS2 but I haven’t the energy.

Wine and [warm water] for you Apricot.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/02/2020 03:43

Morning. Am pooped. v. active day today, plus lots of swearing at stupid steep slopes. Didn't fall over one though - hurrah!
HBFs are required for massage purposes... (I should do some stretching before bed really. Which means I'd need to get out of bed.

Didn't spot any particularly HBFs today, there was some pretty, but then again I was a bit tired and not looking really. (I did see one on TV while we were eating - does that count? No idea who he was - an ice hockey player I think.) Wildlife was limited to ravens and some unspecified birds tweeting in the trees.

cwtch for fancy and her commute, LetUs for homework hell and work; Apricot for re-energising post DGS. Hope Wicked* is feeling better now?

LetUsPrey · 19/02/2020 08:01

Morning wenches.

Hurrah for not falling over Helen! Did any HBFs arrive to soothe all your sore and aching limbs and everything else? They’re certainly not turning up to help me with my back and neck and everything else.

Just watching final episode of Grantchester with my breakfast. Probably won’t finish it before work - the programme, not my breakfast.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/02/2020 13:56

I must admit, I have a sneaking suspicion that these HBFs may be in our mind LetUs - hence the lack of practical assistance with massages etc. However, I shall ignore that horrific thought and continue to practise positive thinking. I did have a vaguely bonkers dream with Howie in it, but I'm afraid he jut doesn't count.

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 19/02/2020 17:28

Afernoon. Nothing much going on here. Still sorting/backing up photos on the computer, there's over 20,000 of them. Shock

Hope everyone has had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 19/02/2020 19:28

Evening wenches.

I’m beginning to think producing eggs isn’t the cats’ forte. Or they’re really good at hiding them.

As much as I think we all like having HBFs in our imaginations, we’d definitely love to have them in real life pleaseandthankyou.

20,000 photos to organise! That’s quite an undertaking

I’m doing a jigsaw. I’m at the “oh for the love of it all, I’ll never finish it” stage.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/02/2020 01:55

Shock at 20,000 photos - LetUs is right - you need cloning Apricot!

I may have sat next to an actual HBF today - though it's hard to tell what with all the ski gear on. He certainly looked like he was a lot younger than me fit the bill.

DH has been down my Cleavage today, but I got to ride on Wolverine, so we're both enjoying the naming policy for ski runs and lifts Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 20/02/2020 08:12

Morning wenches.

Oooo at sitting next to an HBF! Am Grin at the ski run and lift names.

Hang on, one of the cats is doing something in that little gravel area, looks like she could be laying an egg. I’ll check. Never mind.

Breakfast and then work. Going to leave instructions for DH for what homework he needs to get DS2 to do. So obviously that will be done when I get home.

ApricotCrush · 20/02/2020 17:47

Afternoon. Sunny here today after some early rain, but very cold.

Maybe the cats are hiding the eggs in the chicken coop. Ah, I've found them! You can't fool us HelenCats. Hmm

Good luck with the homework LetUs, and yay at finding a possible HBF Helen.

LetUsPrey · 20/02/2020 19:46

Evening wenches.

Those sneaky cats Apricot!

We’ve had rain, sun, hail, rain.

I’ve done something to my shoulder that unfortunately seems to have made it worse and I’ve got —a bit of— pain going up into my neck and down my arm. Honestly, I’m so pathetic when it comes to being ill or being in pain I’ve no idea how I managed to have two children.

I left DH with instructions this morning for DS2’s homework as he’s been off all week with them. DS2 did a bit quite late on but has still got quite a bit to do. It’s a bit rotten considering it’s a holiday but it still needs doing.

I’m carrying on with my jigsaw. It stops me snacking.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/02/2020 04:25

Well done on finding the eggs - those sneaky cats! Next thing, they'll be trying to convince you that it's them catching mice and not the chickens! Grin

Today I woke up with a stabby pain in my back when I looked over my left shoulder. So I made sure not to look over my left shoulder today. I also managed to book in for a massage, where the nice lady did horribly painful things to the knots in the muscles until they felt more like play-doh than... I have no idea actually, I imagine she was trying to tell me that they'd loosened up Hmm Just call me Morph... Hope your back gets sorted soon LetUs. I've been prescribed wheat packs, and hot baths, and weekly massages until the muscles have re-learned to be normal and not to tie themselves in knots.

I also fell over quite a lot today - mostly emergency stop sit-downs, and one 'splat'. My dignity is suitably dented, but I was skiing stuff that I normally wouldn't touch, so it's all in the name of improvement.

DS, fortunately, has no holiday homework. Wonder if they could start setting Fortnite-related homework - DS in is delirious joy over some new update. He's going to be thrilled when I remind him to turn off in 5 minutes... Confused

wildlife report: ravens and a coyote trotting down the road Shock (but no road runners.)

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 21/02/2020 08:06

Morning wenches.

Rainy McRainyton here.

I could cope with wheat packs, hot baths and weekly massages. And HBFs.

Well done with the skiing. The sit downs are obviously very important. You’d only fall over anyway if you were too tired Shock at coyote.

Jigsaw is done. Didn’t take as long as I thought but it’s not like anyone else put any pieces in ....

Suppose I’d better eat my breakfast and go to work.
