Evening wenches. Nothing much going on here. DD turned up randomly this afternoon, as she does, so we had a good natter..

Hope necks, backs and shoulders improve soon.

Have a good evening all. Wine

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 21/02/2020 18:50

Evening. I'm still alive. Stopped with the meds, couldn't stand the vomiting every morning.
Trying to figure out some stuff, there's a job I'm thinking of applying for, the company I work for feels quite unstable and felt like that for the last couple of years.
Also thinking of buying an apartment in another town, been in contact with my bank about a loan.
We will se what happens. I might change my mind tomorrow.

LetUsPrey · 21/02/2020 20:27

Evening wenches.

I have honestly been to work and have not been in the cupboard all day with HBFs.

That sounds a perfectly lovely way to spend the afternoon Apricot. Shoulder feels better than yesterday thanks.

Wow that’s a lot going on Wicked! All very exciting though. Not the meds and vomiting obviously

I’d quite like to get into my pjs and get comfy but I’m picking DH up from the station tonight after a night out.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/02/2020 04:22

Evening/Morning all.

Hope DH wasn't too late back LetUs - could you have picked him up in PJs?

Wicked - that sounds really rough - no point relieving one set of symptoms if they give you worse ones. And loads to think about re. jobs/houses!

I love random drop-ins Apricot - not that anyone ever does with us since we live in the sticks, but... Grin

Today has been another tiring one. I'm really enjoying it, but also looking forward to being home and not spending every day hurling myself down steep slippery slopes. Though I'd quite happily do that every day if there was a HBF waiting for me at the bottom of it Grin Speaking on which, was in the hot tub this evening with a slightly-Kylo-alike. I thought of wenches. And about how I managed to get the spectacular bruise on my knee Hmm

On Twitter, RedS has provided a PicardSanti at twitter.com/redfacts/status/1230983803499417600 wearing an outfit that makes no sense to me. When I get round to watching it, Im sure it will.

Hope everyone has a good day and that Fancy has finished her horrible commute now...

Morning wenches.

DH wasn’t too late after all and he’d had a good time so that was nice. My pjs currently consist of a vest top Grin

Brandon likes skiing I think so perhaps I’d better accompany you next time Helen and make an attempt. In the name of getting fit and being active and nothing to do with potential HBFs and/or lookalikes being in the hot tub

Will watch Picard later today, although I’m out in NearbyBigCity for much of the day. —can’t believe I didn’t watch it last night when I was on my own. Idiot—

FancyFancy · 22/02/2020 13:09

Afternoon
Have been lazing around aaaallllll morning, think I've earned it after that commute. And on Thursday evening DSis & DBIL + youngest arrived - we went to the King Tut exhibition yesterday. Very good, but very busy, so another tiring day.

What a nightmare re : the meds ww, so sorry they didn't work for you & hope you're feeling better soon.

helen, I have seen lots of people around lately with leg injuries, not sure if it's related to skiing season, but I am getting almost as worried about your legs as I get about MrA when I hear that something needs fixing on the roof Grin

ApricotCrush · 22/02/2020 17:16

Afternoon. I'm booooored. The weather doesn't help, you can't get out to do anything.

Don't blame you for stopping the meds WW, you can't go on like that. Hope you feel better soon.

Lol at almost as worried about Helen's legs as MrA on the roof. I've never gone skiing, I can fall on my back on an icy terrace. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 22/02/2020 17:22

Back home and I’m knackered. Shopping was fairly successful although I ran out of steam and missed out a few shops.

King Tut exhibition sounds fantastic.

I’ve tried dry slope skiing over 30 years ago. Let’s just say I wasn’t a natural.

The weather must turn soon Apricot

Am now watching Picard. Santi is of course fabulous and the outfit that Red’s picture refers to is extra fabulous Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2020 01:48

Evening/Morning! Awesome day on the slopes - it snowed and we were all very happy Grin And I didn't fall over once, though I may have a slight limp due to a strained muscle which I don't recall straining. FFS and all that It's a groin strain, so I need Dr Athos to check it out immediately, and thoroughly, and repeatedly (and also gently in this instance) pleaseandthankyou Grin

Hurrah for successful shopping and exhibitions, but boo for miserable weather. I have to go out for food...

Fingers crossed for everyone on Monday, it being a Monday and all.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 23/02/2020 09:53

Morning wenches.

Well done at not falling over Helen! Ouch re groin strain though. Doctor Athos shall flex his fingers to ensure you’re dealt with properly.

Morning’s plans include washing and ironing whilst watching an old Miss Marple, Cadfael, and then possibly a Midsomer Murders.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2020 15:48

Morning all. It's not Monday is it? FFS - I'm all over the place. But hurrah for it not being Monday yet!

Strained muscle is unsurprisingly a lot better today for having Athos seeing to it not having a bloody great ski boot attached to my foot. I do need to pack though...

ApricotCrush · 23/02/2020 17:00

Afternoon. Quite spring-like today though still cold and windy.

Yay for a successful day Helen, in spite of the groin strain. Don't worry about not knowing what day it is, I never know. Confused

We watched The Pale Horse mainly for Rufus Sewell. Absolutely no idea what it was about or who-did-it. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 23/02/2020 21:48

Hurrah for groin feeling better. I’m sure of course you repaid the favour to Athos.

I haven’t watched the second part of The Pale Horse yet. I’ve seen another adaptation of it and wasn’t massively clear on that after the first watch so it doesn’t bode well for this one.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/02/2020 22:44

Completely forgot to update you on the ski run names - DH has now had a successful experience down on Supermodel, plus a bit of Ecstasy (which I think I did too), and he had another Cleavage session. I went down on and had a ride on Wolverine again Grin And we haven't even mentioned what we got up to in Dirty Little Corner Grin.

Today we've been burning money buying tourist tat tasteful souvenirs... So we have bags full of dirty washing and random stuff.

at not having a clue what was going on in Pale Horse. As long as the 'scenery' was nice, that's ok.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 23/02/2020 23:26

Safe travels Helen. Loving the run names Grin

Hayloft for me

LetUsPrey · 24/02/2020 07:46

Morning wenches. Absolutely bobbins night’s sleep.

It’s weeing it down but doesn’t appear to be windy.

hmm, no I’m okay thanks, I’ll not bother and I’ll just stay in the Tav.

FancyFancy · 24/02/2020 08:40

Sounds like a plan letus. Sadly I have to go to work also today - it's both grey & windy out there.

Hope your trip back is ok helen

Grin apricot, know what you mean about not needing any help to slip over.

Right, need to get to work - laters

ApricotCrush · 24/02/2020 17:34

Afternoon. Grey and windy here too, I nearly got blown over on Sainsbo's car park this morning. My trolley had a mind of its own and I had visions of it flying off dragging me behind it. Hmm

Hope Helen's flight is/was smooth in spite of the weather.

LetUsPrey · 24/02/2020 19:24

Evening wenches.

Bored of the wind and rain now, and we’re not even particularly affected here.

Here’s to shorter commutes this week Fancy

I now have a vision of Apricot clinging on to a shopping trolley in a supermarket car park, legs flying up behind her. However, I’ve decided in the vision Apricot is smiling and making wheeeeeeeeee noises Grin

I’m watching Midsomer Murders. I’ve just remembered though that I’ve put a wash on and it’s all pants and socks.

FancyFancy · 24/02/2020 22:51

Oh god letus, that'll take an age to sort out!
I'm watching an old Foyle's War - David Tennant & Danny Dyer Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/02/2020 23:56

Evening.

Well, that was 20 hours travelling door-to-door Confused All went relatively smoothly apart from Heathrow deciding that our hold luggage should be sent to the wrong terminal. And passport control ('Border Control is important to us - .gov.uk') only had 2 people checking passports for however many plane loads were trying to get through (can't use the electronic gates because you can't take DCs through it if they're less than 12, and they instruct families to stay together. And it's the back end of half term, so it's not like there weren't lots of families travelling. FFS. On the plus side, I've had about four hours of intermittent sleep on the flight, so I think I should be ok to sleep tonight.

It's a bit windy here - thought it might have stopped that silliness while we were away Sad I like the idea of hanging off shopping trollies on a joyride though Grin

LetUsPrey · 25/02/2020 07:49

Morning wenches.

Woohoo for safe, eventual return Helen. That does sound like systems were operating at maximum efficiency there

I know Fancy, don’t know what I was thinking. I do enjoy watching old Midsomer Murders, or Poirot, etc and spotting the now very famous stars Grin

It’s windy again/still.

And fortunately I’ve remembered to check I have what we need for pancakes tonight.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 25/02/2020 08:09

Morning all. The start of the day has been helped by clear sky and sunshine to tell my body clock to reset, DS has got off to school complaining about being tired, and I have a pile of work to do. Though in my current slightly space-cadet-ish state of mind, I don't know how well that's going to go Confused

Also need to continue wading through the mounds of washing. Got two loads done last night and another is in the machine, so hurrah for that. Am also out tonight which was extremely bad planning on my part - off to fall asleep see a play with a friend.

Have a good day all

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 25/02/2020 08:36

Morning.

Aarrrrrgghhh! Lemons, thanks for the reminder helen I shall have a day of not eating very much so I have room for an enormous mound of pancakes tonight

ApricotCrush · 25/02/2020 15:05

Afternoon.

I buy pancakes ready made now, I spent too many years slaving over a hot pan with three people yelling 'me next'.

Welcome back Helen. Hope you enjoy the sleep play.
