Or if not mist, then atmospheric lighting... Hmm

New thread offically open, complete with Wine Gin [ brew] etc. And Hayloft. Speaking of which...

Morning wenches.

Similar here - still very windy but not as bad as yesterday. Not raining —for now—

Grin at recent wildlife sighting

Feeling of doooooooooom has popped in again. Lovely.

Running a bit behind this morning so best get on.

FancyFancy · 10/02/2020 10:49

Morning
I haven't been blown away either - all looks ok in the garden, quite a few trees down locally.

Most disappointed you didn't actaully see A Flock of Seagulls Grin

Ought to get moving as have quite a few jobs to get done today

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/02/2020 14:39

Eeeewww Sad the wind has picked up and the rain has restarted. But I got the washing in first, so that's ok. Grin

Time for a Brew - hot chocolate ahoy...

Thundersnow!

ApricotCrush · 10/02/2020 16:37

Afternoon. We had snow earlier. Shock It's gone now.

Grin at triple posting.

Hope the doooom goes away soon LetUs, I get that sometimes.

ApricotCrush · 10/02/2020 16:39

Crikey!!!

LetUsPrey · 10/02/2020 19:27

Evening wenches.

What we should be able to do is FAF around at work Fancy Grin

Eeek at thundersnow! I don’t want any snow here of any kind thank you.

Still a bit doooomy but not as much.

Completely knackered after a very busy day. New system went live today so lots of backwards and forwards to lots of different people. I’ve barely moved off the settee since I got home.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/02/2020 20:37

Sounds like you've earned a sit-down LetUs - the FAF will bring you some refreshments...

We have been watching Top Gear, and now DS has stropped off because we wouldn't let him go back on the x-box

Gosh how completely unreasonable of you not to let MiniHelen on the x box at this time of the evening Grin

I’m feeling very very refreshed

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 10/02/2020 21:41

Evening.

Beren watching A Discovery of Witches that was quite entertaining, didn't realise the wampire guy was the one from Leap Year. Don't know if I think he's hot or not, his eyes gets a bit crazy sometimes, but nice body Grin

LetUsPrey · 10/02/2020 22:33

That was pretty much my assessment Wicked Grin

I’m watching Secrets of the Museum, which is behind the scenes stuff at the V&A. It’s fascinating.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/02/2020 22:47

That sounds really interesting LetUs. We have snooker on. Not quite so at all interesting. The FAF say that you're not very refreshed, btw. They say that you need a lie down...

I think I saw that last year Wicked - got christened 'A Silliness of Witches' in this house - was entertaining daftness.

I have just been doing lots of stretching post-stepper. Stupid Cat decided that my main reason for this was so she could headbutt me, stick her tail in my face, and general be a small furry nuisance. Obviously, all she wanted was for me to sit down so she could too - on me. I shall turf her off and head for the hayloft shortly though. Athos can give me a nice back-rub... and other things. Grin

LetUsPrey · 11/02/2020 07:38

Morning wenches.

Smile at StupidCat’s obvious thought process. Hopefully Athos rubbed everything better Helen.

I had a most satisfactory lie down last night.

Still very windy but thankfully no obvious damage. We’ve been very lucky.

DS2 demonstrating yet again the fact that he’s not a morning person, at least not on a weekday.

FancyFancy · 11/02/2020 08:24

Morning
Well he can keep his eyes closed ww Grin

helen you should know by now that at this time of year your function is to be a moveable heated bed for cats - SIT DOWN WOMAN!!!!

Nice and bright here, and less windy. Hoping for less water on the roads today - had a nasty drive yesterday in the dark in the rain & sleet.

Right, work....laters!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2020 08:31

Morning all. Athos will have to dooooo iiiiiiiiiiiiittt all over again today because I'm off to the physio today to explore why I am just getting old and I also need to stop peering down at my lap all the time my back is so tight. Which will doubtless involve agonising work on the knots in my muscles - so I'll need pampering when I get home again.

I have battled my way through the snowy wastes of the garden to feed the chicken. Wildlife is all battened down, apart from Two Lunatic Swans (Cambridge Folk Festival openers, 2008) which shot overhead into the wind, looking not terrible in control Confused

Also, Santi interview here twitter.com/SantisHair/status/1227010949149839361 Apparenlty his son plays with a Aramis Action Figure and keeps knocking it's head off. Not what wenches would do to it, but there we go.

Evening. No more snow here but verrrry cold.

My computer has gone very slow with 'page unresponsive' messages all over the place. I've been trying to tidy it up and get rid of some stuff, but it's a bit like the house and I end up just moving it all around. Hmm

Awww at Santi's little boy and his Aramis action figure.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/02/2020 19:04

Evening. The wind has been biting here Sad and very strong.

I have been physio'd. Which involved more bone crunching and less no muscle-knot-obliteration, so less painful, but highly disconcerting when she appeared to be trying to twist my head off Confused

Computers are such a pain sometimes Apricot. My laptop is really struggling with Windows 10, I think. I seems very slow to start and stuff, and I think that half my current back/shoulder problems stem from using the tablet instead. I need to make a decision about how to spend lots of money replace the laptop Sad

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 11/02/2020 19:33

Good idea Fancy Grin

LetUsPrey · 11/02/2020 19:58

Evening wenches.

Wind seems to be subsiding a bit.

at your wintry journey along the garden Helen and at Two Lunatic Swans

I think I need to head back for a massage. My hips are quite painful and so’s my neck.

I could really do with an early night and some proper sleep.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/02/2020 07:54

Morning. It's dry, sunny(ish) and cold outside with a f=hint of ground frost, and ice in the puddles that hasn't melted since yesterday. I had a late night due to snorkelling in the bath last night. And my neck is still sore.

Have a good day all...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 12/02/2020 08:00

Morning wenches.

Urgh at neck still being sore Helen. You’re obviously staring at your screen too long for work so you need to stop doing that. Obviously staring at the screen for wenching purposes is still allowed.

Bit breezy here and the rain overnight woke me up.

oh bollcoks

ApricotCrush · 12/02/2020 18:01

Evening. Still windy here, but a good day for drying the washing.

Snorkelling in the bath Helen??? Confused

We've been catching up on the latest series of Grantchester. Will's not Sidney, but I'm getting used to him.

LetUsPrey · 12/02/2020 19:12

Evening wenches.

Shitty day at work. Lots of stuff going wrong for everyone which I couldn’t do anything about but it didn’t stop lots of people whining at me. And I’m really behind with my work. Am fucking knackered and then had to tackle DS2 and his homework.

Think I’ll give new Grantchester a go then Apricot.

Watching a programme by Mary Beard at the moment. It’s very interesting. I do like Mary Beard.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 12/02/2020 19:40

I was interested in the Mary Beard programme too LetUs - but I forgot about it Blush I am clearly on the road to hell (good intentions and all).

Snorkelling in the bath Apricot - you know, when you run it as deep as it will go and then sink into it until you nose is poking out through the bubbles Grin

I have had an ok day, though v. tired. Spreadsheets galore today...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 12/02/2020 21:30

It’s still on iPlayer Helen. You can put it your to do list

I’m ready for the hayloft. HBFs are as ever welcome to join me, but they’re going to have to do all the work.
