Or if not mist, then atmospheric lighting... Hmm

New thread offically open, complete with Wine Gin [ brew] etc. And Hayloft. Speaking of which...

I’ve been reading about those supply issues Fancy. Not great for so many women.

Sunny and windy so excellent day for washing. I’ve done the ironing too so feel better for that.

Watching a Midsomer Murders. Can’t believe there are still so many I’ve never watched.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/04/2020 17:45

Which ep are you watching Letus?

LetUsPrey · 19/04/2020 17:48

The Creeper. Watched Small Mercies earlier - lovely miniature village in that one.

ApricotCrush · 19/04/2020 17:49

Afternoon. Lovely day, I've been sitting out in the sun. DH has been doing preparation for painting with headphones on, so I can't hear his music. He's also been singing. Confused I was afraid someone would call the police. Grin

Re clothes. I'm wearing the same thing every day until it needs washing. I've got a sarong on at the moment, although it's gone a bit cold now. I may put a different one on tomorrow if the weather's good, just to ring the changes. Hmm

Hope DH feels better soon LetUs, and that you get your HRT. My GP took mine off me six years ago and it's been downhill ever since. Sad

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/04/2020 18:17

I've been watching season 1-3 lately, haven't watched them for years, several episodes that I don't remember who the killer is Smile

LetUsPrey · 19/04/2020 20:07

at MrApricot’s singing potentially causing an incident

Can’t believe you’ve had a sarong on today Apricot! I’m in a hoody and jeans!

Strangely, nothing before series 10 of Midsomer Murders is available for download here. Mum and dad have got the DVDs I think.

Have decided I need to concede that the bikini tops from about five years ago are never going to fit me again so I may as well clear them out from the under bed storage. They’ll go with the pile of stuff that will go to charity eventually. And then I can rearrange my other stuff and fill up the storage again.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/04/2020 20:14

There's been reruns of MM on several channels for years now so some seasons I've seen about a million times. They just recently started showing the older seasons so that's great Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/04/2020 20:22

Evening. Have been in the garden all day (sporadically helped by Houdini) and am a bit knackered. But all the runner beans are planted out and fenced in.

The wind has picked up through the day, and it's a bit on the nippy side, so I'm also impressed by Apricot's sarong. LOL at MrA's singing

Sad for MrLetUs' toothache.

Oh - I had another thought on TB's hair - maybe he's had a mad 80's mullet-perm so he's hiding that Grin

LetUsPrey · 19/04/2020 21:42

Might ask my mum if she’ll let me borrow the early DVDs when I go to drop off some food shopping. We can do an exchange like in the films Grin

Well done at getting all the runner beans out Helen. Grin at mullet perm

We’re watching Magnum. I’m looking at the Hawaiian scenery and feeling wistful.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/04/2020 08:32

Morning. Lots of sunshine again Smile apparently we have this for another 4 days or something.

They're rebooting Van der Valk with Marc Warren and Maimie. I have visions of TB and Marc sitting down and playing "My detective is better than your detective' Grin Obviously, via Zoom. Hmm

Must remember - back to school today. DS it utterly unenthusiastic about it. Oh joy...

LetUsPrey · 20/04/2020 09:25

Morning wenches. Washing is ready to go out but I only woke up about 15 minutes ago and I’m still feeling a bit woolly headed. Need to phone GP but I’ll have to leave that until I can actually string a sentence together.

Van der Valk reboot? Sounds interesting. Grin at my detective’s better than yours.

School should be back here too. Have told DS2 we’ll be getting into a routine, which explains why we’re both still in our pyjamas, messing about on tablets.

FancyFancy · 20/04/2020 11:42

Morning
School not back until tomorrow apparently, so much laziness here.

Gardening, walk & supermarket shop later - the excitement!
I decided to start watching Suits from the beginning again - it's one of those series where I missed a later series and by the time I realised I'd largely forgotten what had gone on before. There are quite a lot of those Hmm

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/04/2020 14:47

Summer weather here so of course the blob decides to come early. I feel like crap. Will stuff my face with chocolate and watch Poirot and try not to watch the news because that will just depress me.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/04/2020 16:09

Washing. Poop. forgot to put the bathmats on today. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I'm working, and a bit bored.... agreed re. the news *wicked.

OP posts:
ApricotCrush · 20/04/2020 17:06

Afternoon. Spent a couple of hours outside but the wind was bloody cold.

I also messed up with the washing. Put half a load in, meant to go and look for more for a full load and forgot about it until now. Confused

I used to love Van der Valk.

I have the delight of a Sainsbury's delivery later.

LetUsPrey · 20/04/2020 20:00

Evening wenches.

What is that lovely singing? Is it the Van der Valk theme tune?

News avoidance is probably a good idea Wicked. As is chocolate. Thanks Helen.

Never seen Suits, although I recall one of my nephews recommended it years ago. Mind you, I only started on West Wing in the last year or two and that started in 1999.

Schoolwork is back with a vengeance so DS2 is extra thrilled about that.

I’ve just been clearing out the medicines shelf in the kitchen cupboard. I was looking to see if we had any different indigestion stuff than what I found yesterday (we don’t) so I took the opportunity to take everything out, check the use by dates, and put everything else back neatly. I even wiped the shelf down. My mother would be proud. Amazed, but proud.

Better have a sit down to get over the excitement.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 20/04/2020 20:56

Watched the first ep of Sandition. Not sure what I think of it yet. Charlotte looks like 12 and that Sidney guy is too conventional good looking for me. Love Kris Marshall though.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/04/2020 21:09

Evening.

Well done LetUs that's massively productive of you. I feel like I've done not much. But I have stacked more wood. And been out for a very short bike ride. And now I'm a cat bed again.

Tomorrow I have the excitement of a supermarket click and collect. Which means we'll have cat food - yay!

I think I managed one and a bit episodes of Sanditon.

That’s way more than I achieved today Helen.

DH seems to be improving tooth wise. No pain relief today so 🤞🏻. So I felt less guilty for being a bit fed up with him re what we’re watching tonight. If you want to watch something, we don’t have to watch it together. I watch loads of stuff on my own.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/04/2020 23:03

Wine all round then, If MrLetUs is off the painkillers atm.
[hayloft] for me.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 20/04/2020 23:05

Sanditon was pretty crap from what I remember ww - still watched it all though Grin

As predicted, spent a bloody fortune at the supermarket, still we have wine, beer, toilet roll, pasta, cheese and MARMITE - DD & I were getting a bit stressed as we were coming to the end of a jar Grin

LetUsPrey · 20/04/2020 23:16

That reminds me re stuff in a jar Fancy - must put biscuit spread on the list

Hayloft for me also. Should have gone a while ago in a bid to get a decent night’s sleep and not sleep in tomorrow.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/04/2020 08:27

Morning. It is bright and sunny and I am going to remember to get the washing on today, once everyone's PJs are in the basket...

Then I'm going to do work and exciting household admin

The FAF can help with that, and reward me every time something is successfully put away.
I think I can safely keep the FAF busy all day week. Grin

Morning wenches. Sunny here but windy again.

Horrible dream just before I woke up (lost primary age DS2 in a crowd near a bus station and was shouting him for ages but no sign). Still at least it meant that I wasn’t tempted to go back to sleep and have a lie in.

Prescription is at chemist for me. No idea what it is and hopefully they’ve got this one in stock.

Swagger Inn thread 164 --Gorillas-- HBFs in the mist - aka Where's the bloody Sun?
FancyFancy · 21/04/2020 09:58

Morning
Like a prescription lucky dip letus? Fingers crossed it's a good one.

Summoning up the enthusiasm for some work

If Aramis promised me he'd turn up at snack time & we could share a peach if I'd concentrate until then it would be a big help.
