Afternoon wenches. Happy Mother's Day!
We're back from the caravan. All is well and we didn't speak to anyone. When I leave at the end of the season I always wonder what will be happening when we come back. If someone had said we'd be in the middle of a global pandemic, schools, pubs and restaurants would be closed, we could only see the family through the window, the supermarkets would be stripped bare and the new currency would be toilet rolls, I would have said WHAAAAAT?
Anyway, DD did a top-up shop for me this morning, with me mentally going round the supermarket and telling her on the phone what I needed. Ridiculously, I got quite excited about it. Still none of my wine.
Her job-share colleague isn't very well, she has the virus and also has lupus. I don't even know her, but I'm very worried about her. Also concerned about DD. They've had 9 deaths at her hospital up to yesterday.
She's not on the wards, but it's not a good place to be.
DS is in the food industry, and has many contacts on a daily basis, so can't work from home.
DGS has a place at school, but DD will have to alter her hours/days to do school run. Both the school and the hospital are being very helpful.
Anyway, it's a beautiful day here and I'm going out into the garden later. Have a good day all.
