Afternoon. Nice day here but still cold.

I did the food shop this morning then went a walk round the road to see what was going on. Nothing.

This afternoon DD and I went to Dunelm and then B&M which is next door. I bought some tea towels, which was exciting. Hmm

Hope everyone has had a good day.

LetUsPrey · 02/03/2020 19:32

Evening wenches.

No it flipping well did not Fancy.

Has MiniHelen recovered from being forced into getting up and going to school by such a cruel mother?

Friend has recently got some very pretty stuff from Dunelm Apricot. They’ve some lovely things in at the moment. Fortunately, there’s not one particularly local to me. We do however have The Range which opened near me not long ago. I went in for the first time the other day. Again, nice stuff but gosh there were also some more unusual items. Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 02/03/2020 19:55

Evening.

DS has bumbled back from school quite happy and not at all traumatised. Though he did "almost pass out" during his first lesson Hmm

I like a good mooch round Dunelm too, and the Range. Lots of random house stuff. And speaking of tea towel, ours are due a wash. Scintillating stuff...

Tonight I think we need a family early night, we're all yawning away.

Morning wenches. Oh MiniHelen, the poor lamb “almost passing out”. Mmhmm Grin

Guess what? It’s raining.

Mother Superior’s fixed the roof so we’re fine for a lock in with the HBFs.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/03/2020 07:56

Morning. Suggest we relocate the Tav over here - cold this morning, but dry and lovely and sunny. Lots of birds doing the flappy-tweety thing in the trees.

what beautiful singing!

Meant to say, finished another Foyle’s War last and the “next episode” trailer at the end shows me that Andrew Scott is in it. Excellent.

FancyFancy · 03/03/2020 08:39

Morning
Very sunny here too, but frosty - hopefully it'll warm up nicely and I can gaze out at all the sunshine from my desk

Which series of FW are you watching letus?

Is this the start of teenagerdom in your house helen? Grin

LetUsPrey · 03/03/2020 11:27

It’s series 6 Fancy.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/03/2020 11:48

I have a horribly feeling that Teenagerdom is making an early appearance. Though I live in delusion hope that he's just tired from holidays and will revert to a 6:30am start on weekdays. Not that he has since September, but...

Evening. Still very cold here, so depressing.

We haven't got a Range round here, I'll have to look where the nearest one is, I like a good mooch too .

Been busy filling bins today, as it's recycling and garden tomorrow.

We started the new series of Liar last night. Howie's in it, as well as Alice from TM and the woman with the baby from series 1, can't remember her name.

LetUsPrey · 03/03/2020 19:26

Evening wenches. Work was a total shitfest today.

I joke and say DS2 has been a teenager since about the age of 3 —except it’s not very fecking funny—

That’s a bit of a TM reunion! at liking a good mooch

There’s an episode of Midsomer Murders on tonight called Let Us Prey Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/03/2020 20:40

No, I can't remember her name either. The baby was Henri, and she was.... nope.

at Midsomer Murders. Is it a plot where a large numner of HBFs are being pursued by a very attractive wench?

I have been swimming this evening, and not done enough work. DS is busy doing homework which was set today, for tomorrow Hmm seems a bit short notice.

Early night beckons again tonight, though not for DH because he's out.

LetUsPrey · 03/03/2020 23:06

Was that the one with TB’s dad in it? And Aramis pretended to have dropped the baby over the bridge?

That sounds about the gist of it Helen Grin

at homework with no notice.

I have continued with my jigsaw. It’s slow progress.

Hayloft for me.

FancyFancy · 03/03/2020 23:11

I sooo want to see that episode of Midsommer Murders Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 03/03/2020 23:33

Yep LetUs - that's the one. Aramis and the coke bottle baby being dropped off the rubber bridge into the swimming pool raging torrent. Grin

Homework was a computer quiz thing, which DS likes doing, so that was ok, apart from actually fitting it into this evening.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 04/03/2020 07:44

Morning wenches.

Gosh my jigsaw’s a bit further on than I remember

That’s DS2’s —and mine— preferred type of homework Helen

Looks chilly this morning but it’s a bit brighter. Mind you, it was like that on Monday and then it rained most of the day.

Woken up by The Killers again this morning. I’m now wondering if the DJ always plays a Killers track at that time (DH doesn’t know) and I’m very much in favour of that as surely the next step is to be woken up by Brandon in person.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/03/2020 08:24

Morning. Hurrah for wake-ups by HBFs - even if it's only on the radio

It's Spring!!! I s
aw a black-headed gull this morning with an actual black head. Hurrah! It's also a bit cloudy, but also sunny, and the bus walk was done without hat and scarf Shock

Also, do any other WenchCats insist on being in the bathroom with you - irrespective of what you're doing there? Or is it just Inconvenient Cat being weird. It's like having a toddler. I sit down and then there's a yowl and a scratching and he claws the door open if it's not actually properly shut, and wanders round the room purring loudly. Wierdo. Hmm

Anyway, to work...!

LetUsPrey · 04/03/2020 17:02

Afternoon wenches.

I’d quite like a personal wake up from HBFs - assuming we’d gone to sleep Grin

Not spring here yet, still quite chilly and no sunshine. Aww InconvenientCat is missing you Smile

I need to go and do some washing up or something. DS2 has done his homework - not sure how well he’s done it or if it’s right, but it’s done.

ApricotCrush · 04/03/2020 18:13

Evening. No spring here either, still cold and raining.

Her name was Agnes, I looked it up. I remember being horrified when the kidnapper rode off with the baby in the basket slung over his shoulder.

I went to town this morning to stock up on stuff. Not bulk buying although JustineMN was on Channel 4 yesterday saying that MN had been prepping for weeks Shock, but just making sure we don't run out of anything if we get locked down or something. Hmm

Aww at InconvenientCat, how sweet.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/03/2020 18:32

Evening all.

I have bulk-bought canned tomatoes because they were on offer and I like a bargain. Grin I'm not sure that counts in this context though.

Good researching Apricot re. Agnes. We saw the baby carrier didn't we - it was lying in a random corridor.

We did. Grin

Grin at randomly placed baby basket prop

Not bought anything extra here. Went to the supermarket with DS2 earlier for his food tech stuff and all seemed relatively normal.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 04/03/2020 22:28

I have had a 2-episode binge of Picard. It's rather good. DH's Prime trail runs out at the weekend. FFS. I'll have to take a trial out as well.

In the meantime, Hayloft.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 04/03/2020 23:06

Evening
I remember being horrified by that bit too apricot Grin

Yep, ScaredyCat does that helen - pushes the door open & wanders around purring before pratting around in the shower. She also likes to roll around in basins Hmm

No stockpiling here, although I have bought in a few extras just in case of having to self-isolate. We're fairly well stocked for essentials - cheese, tea and marmite - anyhow and if that runs out we can survive on the bulk order of cat food I'd ordered before all this kicked off Grin

Can I stock pile hbfs?
