That's them! It is all flooding back now.

Amy Nuttall from Emmerdale, but I think she was a lot younger than us, and may not even have overlapped. I don't remember her.

MuffinMclay · 29/08/2007 19:22

Anna, I must have been in the year below you.

InTheseShoes · 29/08/2007 19:24

Jennster - no, I moved away to University and never came back I do come home for frequent visits though, I have great affection for the place. Are you still local?

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/08/2007 19:27

I was on Foundation at art school with Chantal Coady who founded the Rococo Chocolate shop
and lots of well known illustrators went to my other art school - I'm very much lesser known sadly.

Jennster · 29/08/2007 19:27

Local ish Preston. Don't go back very often though

AnnainNZ · 29/08/2007 19:30

Naomi Lewis, she left at 15 to be in a stage show of Fame but it didn't go ahead - losgt financial backing or something. She was later in Emmerdale as Elsa, married to someone called Nick. She was definitely in my year.

I heard Victoria Derbyshire was there too but I don't remember her, not sure what year she was

cheechymunchy · 29/08/2007 19:38

liger, you win hands down, end of competition for Christian Bale...(smirks at the dreams she'll have tonight esp as DH is away!)

hatwoman · 29/08/2007 20:08

a friend of mine shared a house with Thom Yorke. my friend described him as "some bloke who thinks he's going to be famous and spells his name Thom" (said with a th)

on the theme of radiohead they played at one of our JCR bops (150-200 people in a very small and sweaty place) when they were called On a Friday.

One of my colleagues shared a house at uni with that John O'Farrell who writes books about the labour party etc. She later appeared in one of his memoirs as an annoying flatmate!

snowleopard · 29/08/2007 20:15

So hatwoman I think we were at the same college...

hatwoman · 29/08/2007 20:18

really snow leopard? I wasn't at the same college as Thom and I guess they played quite a few JCRs in the late 90s. give us a clue - where were you?

OP posts:
snowleopard · 29/08/2007 20:19

At the same colleage as the mighty Rokos.

snowleopard · 29/08/2007 20:20

(Do you mean late 80s)

melpomene · 29/08/2007 20:37

Went to college with Hari Kunzru (novelist), and I also met Louis Theroux who was at a different college in the same Uni.

And a friend of mine from sixth form is a Sky newsreader.

hatwoman · 29/08/2007 20:37

yes late 80s. hmm let the guessing begin...I matriculated 89

bodiddly · 29/08/2007 20:50

cod!

fortunecookie · 29/08/2007 20:53

Maria Burton springs to mind.

snowleopard · 29/08/2007 20:56

Why paranoid? Actually I didn't know a lot of people there - so it's unlikely you knew me well and I don't think you know me now - but I was your comtemporary. What subject?

FlameBatfink · 29/08/2007 21:02

A girl in my year at school was in porn for a bit

Howdydoody · 29/08/2007 21:06

My friend was at school with Orlando Bloom (tenuous and desperate of me I know!)

fransmom · 29/08/2007 21:09

my siter was in the same year at primary as erin o'connor and i was in her eldest sister's year and class.

hatwoman · 29/08/2007 21:13

paranoid - because although I have always worked on the assumption that anything I type could be read by someone who knows me it feels strange coming to it...plus you might remember me and not have liked me! (hat buries head in sand and wonders whether to reveal herself...) I know one very good friend of mine from college comes on here - I don;t know her name - but I don;t think you are her - you would have known me instantly and said so...another one from college is someone I didn't know well at the time but has become a good friend of late. again youre not her becuase she wasn't the same year. so there's at least 4 of us!

UnquietDad · 29/08/2007 21:14

I was in the same class as Stuart Miles from Blue Peter. Interestingly, he claims to be a year younger than me...
