No body famous from my years at secondary school, sixth form or uni. But I did have brunch at the table next to Clive Owen on Friday morning. Yum. Both breakfast and Mr Owen - who had FIVE KIDS with him!!!!

mymatemax · 03/09/2007 16:41

YEP just as ugly & not very bright either!
I've seen him a few times over the years since we left school & no improvements.
I was no beauty either but hopefully a little brighter

tortoiseSHELL · 03/09/2007 16:42

I KNOW!!!!!!!!{grin}
Spotted in Banners in Crouch End. TOP place for sleb sightings. Also spotted by us in there in the past Hugh Laurie Jo Whiley Beppe from Eastenders (ok thats ones a bit sad) and friend who actually does live local to it (we don't - we're from the land of Robin Hood) also saw Victoria Wood stropping off when there were no tables available.

ladyhelen2 · 03/09/2007 16:52

And I should also add our waitress claimed to have served Chris Martin Simon Pegg and Kirsten Dunst recently - all sitting on the same table.

lottiejenkins · 03/09/2007 20:00

I was at school with Ruth Kelly (she did so little when she was education secretary) don't remember her though!!

Lordashley · 03/09/2007 20:49

BandofMothers - now I'm intrigued about who your friend is! Matthew Macfadyen was two years below me I think and left the school in '93.

UnquietDad · 03/09/2007 22:03

LOL at thick Tony Adams. Why are all our footballers so dim? I remember it being pointed out at the 1990 World Cup that most of the German squad spoke at least one other language and some had given up careers in industry to be fotballers. You listen to Marcel Dessailly or Peter Schemeichel speaking and they have the most fantastic English - not just idiom but confidence to join in debates and butt in, etc. Can't see Wayne Rooney doing that.

Dinosaur · 04/09/2007 13:00

Yes, like Tony Galvin (I think it was) always being spoken of reverently because he had a degree from Hull University and Graham le Saux being regarded as gay because he read the Guardian...

beckytuesday · 04/09/2007 18:55

Thandie Newton was two years below me at uni. I opened She magazine today to be informed that she was 34. Odd that, as I was one of the youngest in my year...and I just turned 40. She does look a lot younger than me though, in fairness.

evenhope · 05/09/2007 20:42

I was best friends with this person for a whole term when we were 13.

mrsmacleod · 05/09/2007 21:26

I recently discovered that a girl I went to college with, Anoushka Williams, flogs stuff on the The International Jewellery Channel(!) I remember her as being very lovely and friendly. Not much of a claim to fame...

Alison Jackson was the year above me at the RCA - her degree show was one of the most memorable I've ever seen.

DH used to work in the same building as Jay Burridge from SMarteenies and was mates with him.

dizzydance · 05/09/2007 21:28

I went to school with Jason Statham and Myleene Klass was in my youngest sisters class at high school.

Donkeyswife · 05/09/2007 23:28

I went to primary, middle and upper school with this person this page and we were in all our form classes together. And my mum and his aunty worked together. Lovely chap.

mintchips · 06/09/2007 12:08

Ulrika Johnsson went to my secondary school, but before my time.

FlameBatfink · 06/09/2007 12:19

Hurrah - will add it to this thread too

One of the Klaxons was part of the group I hung round with at college (discovered this yesterday), and a closer mate at college is in a band that is doing well in Germany apparently

Tigana · 06/09/2007 12:25

SixKindsofCrisis · 06/09/2007 12:27
