i just dont get why some have a baby and then go to work whilst the child is being brought up by someone other than the mother.

every mum should breast feed unless for medical reasons, why any mother would want to give their baby anything other than the best is terrible.

and dummies are just a convenience for the parents. babies and toddlers do not need them, they are disgusting things.

jumpingmum - I have a (genuine) question about your loathing of dummies.

Ok - so a women should stay at home and look after the house/the kids. They should also breastfeed........what happens if you have a particularly "sucky" baby who won't suck their thumb (or fingers) - and it would otherwise mean that you couldn't look after the house/any older children etc etc?? Is a dummy still for the "mothers" convinience then???

And no before you ask - I haven't given any of my children dummies - DS1 (very sucky baby) we were living with my parents so it didn't matter that I couldn't actually do any housework, DS2 found his fingers, DS3 currently trying to decide when he prefers 1 finger, 2 fingers, a fist or his thumb.

An old lady walks into a sex shop, shes walking with a stick and very wooberly on her feet. She is visabily shakey and she woobers over to the counter slowly, points at a vibrator in the glass cabniet, the sales man askes "you want that one?" .

She says " No how the hell do you turn it off" !!!!

ruddynorah · 18/08/2007 21:33

ruddynorah - that's appalling how can you possibly expect your husband to help look after his own children?? And to work nights as well is simply shocking.........

Oh how I'm loving being on Mat leave so I'm not staying up for 36hrs on the trot (that's on the trot - not with the trots ) with a night shift in the middle

NotADragonOfSoup · 18/08/2007 21:35

Jumpingmum, I bf 3 children for over a year each, hate dummies and am a SAHM so I'm just the sort of person you love. Yet I still think you're talking complete and utter b*llocks and have your head way too far up your own backside.

GreatAuntieWurly · 18/08/2007 21:36

jumpingmum, do you children still have "bitty"???

fransmom · 18/08/2007 21:36

i do think though that this thread has gone far enough. it si not fair on anyone to attack their beliefs as wrong.

i think we should all leave this thread alone and agree to disagree now

mollymawk · 18/08/2007 21:36

Why oh why can I never think of any jokes when I want to? Loving everyone else's though

TheQueenOfQuotes · 18/08/2007 21:37

"have your head way too far up your own backside."

  • soupy I guess it has to be her backside as the otherside is too small (apparently)

I was sent a birthday card (this is a true story, not a joke)

It said on the outside "For your birthday I bought you a vibrator"

and inside it said

"only I forgot where I put it but OH GOD! HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY."

NotADragonOfSoup · 18/08/2007 21:38
