Emergency new thread, with suitable decorations.
Fill your boots...

Grubby HBFs in leather are in our imaginations residence.
Sense of humour required, and tolerance for domestic tedium.

Still sunny here. And frosty. Need to get off to wok, but scaredyCat is being cuddly.......

ApricotCrush · 21/01/2020 16:39

Afternoon. Frosty here too.

Haven't been out today. DH and DGS are driving me mad screaming round the house. I don't know who is the more immature. Hmm

We watched Deadwater Fell last night. No idea what's going on. Why do they make the plots so complicated. DH remarked that we never lost the plot in TM although I may not have been terribly interested in the plot. Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/01/2020 20:23

Evening.

Today I have mostly been wearing thermals, and cleared 5 barrowloads of dead leaves and grass, cooked tea and had an argument with DS about being taken for granted and stuff. And been a cat bed. (Still wearing thermals.)

My cunning plan is to have and early night by going to bed at the same time as DS. It may not work, but it's a plan.

I keep meaning to download Deadwater Fell and forgetting. LOL at never losing the plot on Musketeers. In other Good News, Goes Wrong Show are releasing a DVD - hurrah!

night all (I hope...)

Evening wenches.

Took flipping ages to get home as there’d been a bad accident resulting in a major road being closed all day. Still, I wasn’t the woman being airlifted to hospital.

Work was utter bobbins too and I have a lengthening list of things to bring up

Awwww at cuddly ScaredyCat Smile

Grin at not losing the plot in TM —there was a plot?—. What on earth could have been holding your interest Apricot?

I’ve been listening to an audiobook of Pride and Prejudice in the car and now I want to settle down and watch the DVD. Just trying to imagine how DH will feel about that Grin

FancyFancy · 21/01/2020 21:28

I was just about to add 'there was plot in TM?' Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 21/01/2020 21:30

I was thinking that exact same thing! Plot??Grin

FancyFancy · 21/01/2020 22:50

Faf. I remember faf.
And leather
Gallopy gallopy thrusty thrusty
Ho hey!
But plot......?

LetUsPrey · 22/01/2020 07:45

Morning wenches.

I suspect Apricot was interested in the various locations, whereas I very much liked the costumes and hair and things like the furnishings. Yep. That was what held our interest. Mmhmm Grin

Is darkness outside. Lovely.

DS2 is his usual happy morning self.

I’ll be in the cupboard.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/01/2020 08:00

Morning. Wildlife report - not visible in the foggy/misty/mehness. Just remembered it's bin day so have been racing about the house and am running late. Argh. Not feeling the benefit of last night's relatively early night either. FFS and all that.

Set dressing LetUs - yes. The sets were very impressive. esp. the beds Grin

Have a good day all.

Morning
Misty here too, still, no need to scrape ice off the car

Expecting another busy week at work - so no change there. Laters....

ApricotCrush · 22/01/2020 17:33

Evening. Foggy, sunny, foggy again here.

Bin day here too, recycling this week. Oh the excitement. Hmm

Yes, of course it was the locations. Grin

Evening wenches.

And the foggggggggggg descended here too this afternoon.

Gallopy gallopy thrusty thrusty Grin

sorry Fancy’s colleagues. Don’t know where she is.

One lot of homework done. One more to do tonight.

I’m watching Pride and Prejudice though whilst I have my dinner.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 22/01/2020 21:06

Evening. Fog burnt off a bit today, just in time to come back down again.

We have had parents evening today. All the teachers seemed to be happy enough with DS, so all good.

Which version of P&P LetUs? I rather like the Kiera Knightly one - it's much faster to watch than the Colin Firth one Grin so I haven't seen the latter for ages.

We have football on Oh, and now some Heston cookery thing - they have 'prosecco brook' as part of their edible set - as well as chocolate soil. Wonder if we can get those installed in the tavern?

Hope Fancy is having fun in the cupboard
for extra entertainment Grin

Well done MiniHelen! Star

It was the film version Helen which I very much like, particularly the proposal in the folly on the hill in the rain —which isn’t in the book— although I’d have said yes to him there and then Grin. The BBC version is on iPlayer but I’ve just checked and it’s only there until Saturday.

I’m sure Mother Superior can sort out the kitchens.

Football here too. Some not happy people in this house at the moment.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/01/2020 07:53

Morning wenches, another foggy one here Sad Though Stupid Cat doesn't care because she has installed herself on my lap and is doing the contented purring thing Grin

We're going to need a new thread...

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 23/01/2020 07:55

Morning wenches.

I’ve tried to think of a new thread title but my brain is just tumbleweed.

Why is it still foggy? Have we timewarped back to Victorian times?

Treating myself on the way to work today. I’m going to buy a new electric toothbrush. I know.

ApricotCrush · 23/01/2020 17:34

Evening. Still miserable here. I've already prepared the veg for the meal because it's so depressing cooking in the dark, well, with the garden in darkness. We do have a light on the terrace but the bulb went about 18 months ago. It's such a shame we don't have a lighting engineer in the house. Hmm

Still, he has been gardening all day. We appear to have new neighbours at the bottom of the garden and they have chopped down some ivy which has grown over their side of the fence, but unfortunately it has dislodged it from our side and it has all collapsed onto the ground. I know they're quite within their rights, but the neighbourly thing to do would have been to ask and DH could have sorted it with much less work. Angry

God, I'm moaning tonight.

I know we need a new thread, but I'm useless at them...

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 23/01/2020 19:32

Watching GN with Harry Potter, professor Sprout and Alan Cumming, really funny ep Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/01/2020 20:25

Evening all. The radio today tells me that we are stuck in a anticyclonic gloom. Or something. It accounts for the miserable weather anyway. But never fear - the forecast said that it would lift and change to... colder and wetter weather

Didn't do much this morning (in recovery from broken night's sleep ), then spent the afternoon in the garden removing yet more brambles and chopping wood and going on the stepper in an effort to get fit for half term.
I can't think of any New Thread titles, but we do need one.

We've been watching Spy in the Wild this evening, with David Tennant telling us all about robot wildlife, which is always much more fun when they get a bit battered by the real thing. Grin and also featured gorillas singing to themselves as they ate. And farting a lot. So DS was in stitches.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 23/01/2020 22:14

NEW THREAD (inspired by watching Spy in the Wild) and I'm off to the hayloft...

Night all - hope that LetUs has recovered from the excitement of buying a new toothbrush Grin and that MrA hasn't been buried under a pile of ivy...

LetUsPrey · 23/01/2020 22:40

Evening wenches

Managed to contain the excitement of buying the new toothbrush. Quite looking forward to using it.

Do I understand that MrApricot is a lighting engineer? Grin That’s fairly inconsiderate from the new neighbours.

Saw that Wicked. I bloody love Alan Cumming.

Anticyclonic gloom sounds about right. Awww at gorillas singing to themselves. I’ll have to download that. I’ve been watching The Goes Wrong Show with DS2. Much much laughing Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 24/01/2020 07:48

Morning!

Wildflie coutnm as before (too misty) apart from the drowned mouse in the chicken's water that was left overnight inside, prepped and ready to go out to them

Laters.... have a good day all - enjoy the new toothbrush LetUs - Dr Aramis will be along to check for cavities later Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 24/01/2020 08:05

Morning wenches.

Well done brave mousey

I’ll lean back on the chaise and await Doctor Aramis Grin
