Emergency new thread, with suitable decorations.
Fill your boots...

Grubby HBFs in leather are in our imaginations residence.
Sense of humour required, and tolerance for domestic tedium.

Afternoon.

Shock and Grin at zombie dream.

Nothing to report here. It's been an ironing from before Christmas and sorting-stuff-out-for-the-recycling day. And a bit of knitting.

LetUsPrey · 08/01/2020 18:06

Evening wenches.

That actually sounds quite a nice day Apricot —except for the ironing—

Early finish today and went with both sisters and my mum to LittleSister’s dress fitting. No trauma, no drama - not like on the telly Grin

Now watching Father Brown and realising that I need to do some ironing tonight. Poop.

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 08/01/2020 19:08

Thanks for the pics Helen, the middle one is so hot Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/01/2020 22:09

OMG - wildlife central here. Just been down the road with a torch - 17 deer one side of the road and at least 7 on the other side Shock

Anyway, that aside, have just watched Responsible Child with the FAF being, well, not especially FAF to be honest, but it was all very compelling viewing and a very good production - if rather horrifying, being based on true stories etc. Our justice system is monumentally crap. As is our government (have just seen the shite they're pulling re. of EU residents).

Hmm. Ironing. If I start holding forth about how I don't bother ironing anything, will FAF miraculously appear at my shoulder again?

night all.

Grin Wicked

Decided against ironing

That’s a lot of wildlife Helen!

I’ve caught up with Doctor Who. My late nights are catching up with me though and I’m falling asleep so it’s hayloft for me.

LetUsPrey · 09/01/2020 07:50

Morning wenches.

Bored with this dark stuff of a morning.

I’d be quite happy to go back to bed. Although I’ve just remembered I’m off tomorrow so I can do that if I want to!

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/01/2020 08:06

I am still asleep. Anyone who tells you otherwise is delusional.

Morning - you didn't find the faf to be very faf helen?! Are you feeling alright? Most unlike you....

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/01/2020 08:30

The FAF is a chameleon Fancy - he can do FAF as well as non-FAF. He can also doooooooo me, in a different context. Wink

Afternoon. I got up at 6.30 to make a cuppa, went back to sleep and didn't wake up until 9.45. Confused Consequently, I've been two hours behind myself all day. I blame these dark mornings. Still, it doesn't really matter as I didn't have to be anywhere.

Whilst asleep i dreamed a plane landed on the house. Shock It was our house, but wasn't. I think it was watching Silent Witness that caused that. Hmm

No Helen, legal wigs don't do anything for anyone really, no matter how FAF they are.

Awww at local wildlife. I believe we have deer living in a field up the road by the canal, but have never seen any of them.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/01/2020 19:34

I went back to bed too Apricot - for about the same amount of time Blush I have no idea why, I was just utterly knackered this morning. (and not a HBF in sight - pfft.)

Have mostly been working today... and dosing the cats for fleas. (After inept experience at Vets where they put twice the amount of stuff through the till, so I just bought two packets to save the hassle of trying to put it through correctly.) Thrill a minute here Hmm

Evening wenches.

Shock at plane on house dream! How come it doesn’t take much for certain shows - Silent Witness or Dracula for instance - to infiltrate wench dreams but the constant FAF seems determined to be mostly absent. I demand a recount or something. (Although Claes Bang did feature two nights in a row after watching Dracula but no FAF interaction took place)

Work was bonkers busy today but am off tomorrow so woohooo!

Have settled down with a Brew and an episode of Vera. Steady now.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/01/2020 23:33

I was going to have an early night... Hmm

Oh well - hayloft.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 09/01/2020 23:51

Me too Helen, but I’m still watching Vera.

Heading to the hayloft as soon as this one finishes.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/01/2020 07:59

Morning. It's a bit cloudy out there and wet underfoot, but enough sky visible to make it not-too-gloomy.

I think the washing machine has stopped - yet another day of excitement beckons Hmm. Actually I have a rescheduled catch-up with a friend this morning so that will be nice. Though I feel like I may fall asleep too. WhyTAF am I so tired?!

Morning wenches.

That condition you’ve self-diagnosed is very contagious Helen

Day off today. Hurrah! No lie in or back to bed though when DS2 has gone as plans have changed and I’m off out this morning instead of the afternoon.

Enjoy your catch up.

Need to have a shower. My shampoo promises miracles. No HBFs have appeared with me in the shower so I don’t think it works.

ApricotCrush · 10/01/2020 17:52

Afternoon. Nice day here. I did the food shop and then went for a walk, which was very pleasant.

I don't think the shampoo people meant that sort of miracle LetUs. Wink

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/01/2020 18:04

So I went out for the morning with a friend to the spa. Which was very relaxing apart from the deep tissue massage on my shoulders/neck, which was hideous and much needed. And then I realised in the changing rooms that when I threw on jeans, fleece and coat to go to the bus stop this morning, I never got properly dressed afterwards, so I have spent the entire day wearing my PJ top Grin

Anyway, my shoulders are sore and I'm very glad that i'm not doing badminton or swimming or anything that involves using my arms. Typing on the laptop is quite enough (having to reach around Stupid Cat on my lap).

Pfft for no-miracle-shampoo - if it didn't deliver HBFs then I hope it made your hair lovely and swishy at the very least!

LetUsPrey · 10/01/2020 20:09

Evening wenches.

Shampoo doesn’t seem to perform any kind of miracles sadly Sad. Wouldn’t mind having hair that doesn’t quite behave itself if there was an HBF in the shower with me

That massage sounds amazing Helen. at you being in your pyjama top Grin

Spent a lovely day shopping in a NearbyBigCity with my mum and sisters. Tried a dress on —it didn’t fit—. Saw this poster and had to take a picture.

Oh dear lord - please tell me that you're watching the Goes Wrong Show as well (www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m000csgs/the-goes-wrong-show). The Christmas one wasn't brilliant, but the two since then have had us all crying with laughter.

Frankly, if I was in the shower with an HBF then I wouldn't care what my hair was doing either. Well, within reason. I wouldn't want in in my eyes or face, basically. But other than that, my hair could crack on with whatever it liked.

I'm mystified by Musketeers with bikes - I suppose they can't have horses on stage? There seems to be a distinct absence of FAF too - That's not my Musketeer.... he isn't accessorising with a bottle of wine.

I thought we'd had nice weather too apricot, but the washing was very clammy when I got it in, and DF tells me that we had rain this morning.

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 10/01/2020 21:32

I have just started downloading them Helen and we’ll watch them tomorrow. Saw the tail end of the Christmas one and was laughing away.

It is 9.30 and I am yawning my head off and can barely keep my eyes open.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/01/2020 22:33

Have started watching Dracula. I like the nuns... Grin
Not sure if this is a good plan at this time of night from what I've heard...

LetUsPrey · 11/01/2020 09:23

Morning wenches.

How did you get on with Dracula Helen? Hopefully any dreams were not of the scary variety. And yes, loved the nuns Grin

Heading into town with DS2 today. He has been surprisingly amenable as far as homework is concerned although I recall this time last January was much the same.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/01/2020 11:29

Oh dear. Poor Nuns... DH was much disgruntled that the next episode didn't pick up directly from the last one, so stopped watching it. Which was fortunate, because I didn't realise that they're 90 minute each. Never mind vampires, I'd have been a zombie - even with my lie-in this morning. We enjoyed it though and I expect he'll try to watch another tonight. which I might veto on the grounds of needing to be asleep before midnight.
