God what a long weekend! We had a fab time at the wedding. I love Glasgow, just wish I got time to do ME shopping rather than dh shopping. The wedding was lovely and of course meeting Macdog, dd and dh was brilliant.

Macdog your dd is lovely by the way. Dh thinks she has eyes like Shirley Maclaine.

JW - Dh does writing on the 'puter. This year he is doing a poem a day and it's sort of working as a diary. Last year was a short story a fortnight and the year before was the poem a day again. He said he'd send you one if you send him one...oo err!

Did you get my snail smashing slug snipping email or did it get lost?

I've paid to CAT so I could distribute my email to you all, and then once You have mine, email me back so I have yours and I can then let you know what everybody else's are.

Ive lost my short stories, but that is an incentive to do a new one...

what does he write poems about? I mainly write about horses and riding.

a poetry website I found said you need 50 poems before they take you on to try and get published. I was up to 18, lost them all!

dh writes his poems and stories mainly about what's going on in his life. He hastens to add that they aren't REAL poems. His brother however has a brilliant imagination, and writes children's books for his kids at school. He's a teacher.

We think they forgot to charge dd's very non-mumsnet empire biscuit at the cafe as well

Have spent all day between hospitals today with dh. He's got a viral infection in his eye and possibly an ulcer as well .
It's a local holiday up here, so NHS24 sent us to local A&E where assessment was done. Their opthalmic dept was shut due to said holiday so we were sent to hospital 30 miles away to see Opthalmologist there. 6 hours we were away.
Had to phone my Mum to take us to other Hospital, but atr least she could look after dd in A&E play area while dh and I sat in Opthamology.
Hopefully all well now, anti-viral cream and anaesthetic drops. Follow-up appt on Wed.

Oh nasty. DH had shingles in his eye and was out of action for months. He hasn't got other ulcers forming around the eye area has he?

And I had organix biscuits, raisins and a (flukily) a toothbrush in the changing bag with me! Realised we didn't pay for the biscuit later that afternoon. How is your dh? Must be a pain if he can't drive.

its my three year wedding anniversary today

dh been a bit better today in that he can now almost open the eye. The ulcer is on his cornea. The whole eye is red and streaming

Check up tomorrow.

Took dd for her new shoes today, and very lovely they are too Iced Gem, but in navy.

It's getting really cold up here now, have locked the dog in his hut tonight as it feels frosty.

Weather forecast on BBC said 1C in Glasgow city centre tonight and would be VERY cold up Scotland way and cold all over.

well we had the laptop back till it broke down again , so dp yookm it back and they gave us a brand new one. yipee

im watching that bringing up the baby and my god i feel hate for that woman (i didnt pick her name up yet) who says that when ff the baby hold it away from you so they dont get too close and snuggle up to you!! and stop cuddling them or have no contact after 7 or something.
i much prefer this dr spock bloke with lots of love and cuddles.

so how do i find jw on facebook, can you stop everyone reading all your messages?

oj my god, shes making them put the baby outside for 3 hours in the afternoon!!!!! and shut the door as "you dont need to hear them" i would have pulled out of it by now if that was me i think

im thinking of stopping bf now ds2 keeps biting me and laughing (little sod) and with his teeth it hurts. but its when he laughs that it gets me!! so im going to maybe stop next week i think.

Spent 2 hours today at eye clinic with dh. dd very good again and was quite happy pootling about in playroom/walking with my mum.
dh cleared to drive to final (hopefully) appt Friday.

PIL taking dd Fri night till Sunday am !!
Trial run to let us go to local Beer Festival the next weekend !!!!!!!!

Weather definitely getting Autumnal here. Looking out fleeces etc for dd for her runs round the park
