i can drive.........but i can't.....because our car is just too big. dp took me to a car park so i could get used to it first and i just froze .....i learnt in a Clio and our car is a Mercedes Estate. we'll have to sell it and get me a little car.....

Lesson this morning,i kept missing the gears and stalled twice ,God why i can't i drive?
It seems the entire population can bloody do it but me!

As you can tell i feel very stupid.

MrsSlowLearner, you are not stupid, just comfort yourself with the fact that there is probably tons of stuff you can do that the average driver cant

thats what I keep on telling myself anyway

i passed!!!!omg cant believe it!!! i had the examiner on my forth test, he would have passed me but i kept making stupid mistakes but this time he let me off with my manoever i messed up!! yyyyyyeeeeeeaaaaaaaahhh

mrsslowlearner, i stalled around 3 times during the test but i made sure i recovered properly and didnt stress.

congrats prettymum!

I had a 2 hour lesson this afternoon, that makes 12 this time around so far. Have scheduled in another 8 hours between now and my test so really hoping that'll be enough, as I can't afford to keep up this £40 a week.

Mrs S I feel your pain...
just about passed a mock test on saturday so was feeling quite good.
did a bit of driving in our car on sunday and felt like I just kept messing up!
two roundabouts in a row I tried to change from 4th to 3rd gear and ended up in first...

i was soooo annoyed with myself and then got quite stressed about being on a very bendy road-felt like I was holding up all the traffic. In the end had to stop and swap with dh because I was so stressed about it

god i hate driving!

Had a 2 hour lesson this afternoon. 6 more hours to go with instructor before my test (although will be going out a lot with DH the week before). Instructor reckons I need to work on my braking, I'm too heavy and jerky on them.

thanks jh but I failed

2 majors, my main weaknesses i think...

steering too close to a parked car (I do this about once per lesson!)

and turning a corner too wide (silly of me, it's a nasy corner, sharp into a narrow road, but I knew all this and had done it that very morning OK but still I went too wide and a car coming the other way had to slow down)

what a waste of money

I have a 2 hour lesson today, and for the first time ever amquite looking forward to it, when I had my lesson last week, something had changed and I suddenly felt like a driver, my test is in 6 weeks.
