PLEASE can everyone test their fire alarms NOW!

In light of the tragic events that happened here this week I feel so helpless and so I thought if I could just bring the subject up and get you all to check then at least I feel I would have done something!

Thank you for this - have just checked ours and it's not working!

Will go buy batteries first thing tomorrow...

We had a Fire Angel but it kept getting set off by the lightbulb, had it checked but it was still going off for no apparent reason, so we went with a conventional smoke alarm.

Thanks again and very sorry to hear of what happened in your camp.

Will check ours and put door back onto kitchen - everything grilled was making it go off and i getting a little crazy with it going off. Also just bought a fire angel for the 2nd floor - thanks for the link radley

Got ours on the mains and got an escape ladder upstairs which I brought and reassures me. Also always make sure I have my mobile phone on bed side table. Keep baby slings upstairs as well so i would be albe to get down ladder with ds got two ds now so don't know how I would get them both down! Its one of my greatest fears, so sorry to hear what happened, so so sad.

What are fire angel's?

Thanks for your bumps ladies. The family returned home today - all of them , I can't help thinking about how her life will never be the same - poor poor lady . Please check your alarms and don't let this be you
