People who post on these - you are aware that your posts can be read by people who aren't "on" your threads, right?

Because some of you are pretty offensive and dim otherwise.

am off to start bunchofsadtwats.com

so we can all be nasty in private

(on second thoughts, maybe not, what would happen if you googled it?)

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 12:04

i didn't say u were though did i enid? & yeah i said MOST not all, why shouldn't i say that? & it was not a direct personal attack to one person either so whats the problem? further down the thread someone called us "twatish" so whats the difference of calling people twats????

for the last time- i was not upset bout the weaning advice, when people said it on the postnatal thread i didn't comment on it did i??? i thought fair enough, what has annoyed me is the bitchy tone of mumsnet, & all i was basically saying is why do people have to be so bitchy bout other people? it wasn't just on the postnatal thread, i've seen other threads even taking the piss out of things people have said on the ttc boards & i just think its plain nasty, i dont see the need for it. i understand mumsnet is not just a place for the "fluffy" threads, i know there are a lot of debates & controversial issues on here & i think thats great i just dont think people should start threads that are blatantly just to slag people & groups off & make them look stupid??? does no one (except youngmum!) understand what i'm saying?

Whats the difference between starting a thread to discuss an issue, or just bitching on a pre-existing thread? Or are you wilfully ignoring my post, bendyb/youngmum?

Fio - I can see what you are saying, and I thought about what you said, but, I'd rather people understood as per Jillybeans last post.

I think that whoever said that they should find somewhere else (babyworld?) was right. We do have heated discussions on here, but, it stays on the thread and you move on, and on the next thread, you carry on as normal. Thats the adult thing to do.

The childish thing is to slink off to a 'private' (?) thread and bitch about people, thinking they wont see, or dont care if they do.

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 12:26

i hope that is not directed at me vvv? because i havent gone off to bitch about people on another thread i've told people what i think on here, & what post have i ignored??? i dont have a problem with the heated discussions, whay cant we just have that without people being deliberatly nasty? I just dont understand it???

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 12:27

This thread wasn't started to bitch as such.. it was started so that those who think that the "group" threads aren't lurked on understood that they are wrong, and they can be seen so bitching about individuals is offensive.

youngmum21 · 26/02/2007 12:28

ok but was that actually on the solids thread? i know some ppl asked other to stop posting bt they werent nasty were they?

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 12:30

youngmum u musn't use txt tlk!!

youngmum21 · 26/02/2007 12:31

i dont care it up to me

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 12:32

Thats the point youngmum - Hunker didn't link to the solids thread herself because that isn't the only one it has happened in... which is why this was directed at all the groups iyswim

youngmum21 · 26/02/2007 12:35

but i still think it is unfair to direct it at all the groups if you get my point?

lulumama · 26/02/2007 12:38

never seen so much unnecessary use of the word bitch

just unacceptable in my book...and most unedifying

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 12:39

But it is the groups where the problems arise - any other sections on here it is clear that you are talking to the whole of MN, but once you get into a "club" or group bit, it feels a lot more closed in a personal, and it can be forgotten that you aren't actually closed in.

I'm not just talking randomly - I have felt the closed in-ness and it was that that led to me being a complete bitch at one point (today is play-bitching).

itsmeNDaveP · 26/02/2007 12:39

You are all mad

itsmeNDaveP · 26/02/2007 12:39

all of you

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 12:40

oh i've really had enough of this, & as no one can understand what i'm saying anyway i'm just gonna leave it, i never meant to offend anyone if i have, all i was trying to do was stick up for people &groups you have slagged off, thats all.

MyNamesNotDaveItsRodney · 26/02/2007 12:41

please amend all of my uses of the verb "to bitch" to be "most rude, ungainly and impolite", and the noun bitch to "not a nice young lady"

itsmeNDaveP · 26/02/2007 12:43

hahhahaha @ 'i never meant to offend anyone'

Jillyadoodledoo · 26/02/2007 12:47

Youngmum - You said that nothing was said on the PN thread that was not nice - A few random quotes for you

"re all those weaning posts-WTF!!! perhaps people think we are too dosy to make our own minds up after we were v.publicly conned by kat when we were peggars!!"

"saw it too. what a load of w**kers. as if it wasn't bad enough telling us how to feed our kids...
So many people thinking they are so clever when really, if they were that brilliant, surely they'd be doing more with their life than posting constantly on MNet - oodles of posts on umpteen threads every day from some individuals."

Well I wouldn't want some of that said about me?

MrsBadger · 26/02/2007 12:47

How hnady that we are kind and gracious and haven't taken offence at being called 'a bunch of sad twats'and 'sad, pathetic bullies', seeing as no offence was meant.

BENDYB · 26/02/2007 12:51

oh whatever, them last few comments just prove my point dont they? i tried ending it but still got nothing but bitchy comments back!
