Antenatal and postnatal threads on MN

People who post on these - you are aware that your posts can be read by people who aren't "on" your threads, right?

Because some of you are pretty offensive and dim otherwise.

I think eddas was just wondering why it seems to be a case of 'them' versus 'us', not that it is. It's just that we obviously don't go on the ante or postnatal threads as we are not up the duff (?) nor do we have very young babies, so it's not appropriate for us to go on there. However they are more than welcome to come on other threads!

And yes, disagreeing with people is a hobby of mine!

I've posted irregularly on both ante and postnatal threads - I have two young children. I am very fond of many of the women on there.

But I don't use it as a place to bitch about other MNers, because I'm aware it's a PUBLIC forum. That was my point

tbh I wouldn't have a clue if they did bitch about me on there as I never go on them and I don't do name searches, so there's a tip - if you need to bitch about me do so on an innocuous thread and I'd never know about it!

i think it's only them vs us when hunker, nqc etc go onto a post-natal thread to talk about weaning and are told to leave. which is actually what happened at the start of all this, remember...

other than that, eddas, i promise to look out for you in active convos and ruthlessly agree with everythign you say. nice to meet you.

Hello all, no wasn't saying that only AN/PN should be friends obviously you get to know others depending on what bits of MN you go onto.

What i really meant by stick up for each other is that, from my point of view, on another thread where an arguement errupted it felt very much as if the AN posters where being got at by the oldies because they were new. I'm sure that wasn't the case and as has been said it's just the case that you all get on becasue you agree. ALso the fact that you all share the same sense of humour is a bit overwhelming when you're not used to it. God this sounds like a 3 year olds post but am just trying to explain why there is some bitching on the AN threads.

I will indeed try to lurk on threads and look forward to arguing with you all in the future
